The question that catches most visitors is not getting to a festival but leaving it. Evening shows end between 20:00 and 22:00, and the last KTX to Seoul from several cities leaves before that. The table collects what we have verified about last connections and crowd tactics for each festival; where a cell is blank we have not found a reliable published time.
Getting home after Korean festivals: last trains and crowds

| Festival | Where | Getting home | Shuttle |
|---|---|---|---|
| Goheung Nokdong Port Drone Show | Goheung, Jeollanam-do | You cannot get back to Seoul by public transport after the show. The drones fly at 21:00, and in the bus listings checked in October 2026 the last buses out of Nokdong (to Goheung, Beolgyo and Suncheon) leave before the show starts and the last direct bus to Seoul leaves in the afternoon. The Friday show in Goheung-eup (30 October) does not work for a same-night return either: the last bus from Goheung to the Suncheon Station stop leaves while the show is on. Stay the night in Nokdong or Goheung-eup and leave the next morning by direct bus to Seoul or by bus to Suncheon for the KTX. These listings come from a third-party copy of the national timetable feed, not the operators: confirm the last and first buses at Nokdong or Goheung terminal. | No shuttle bus for the drone show was found in the 2026 announcements. |
| Jeonju Hanok Village Traditional Performing Arts Parade | Jeonju, Jeonbuk State | The parade ends at about 16:00, so a day trip is easy. The KTX from Jeonju back to Yongsan takes about 1 h 40 m, but last-train times for 24 and 31 October were not checked against Korail's timetable for those dates: check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+, where KTX and former SRT trains are now booked) or at Jeonju Station before you go, and allow about 15 minutes by bus or taxi from the Hanok Village to the station. | — |
| Naora Show | Wonju, Gangwon State | The show ends at 21:00. Train times from Seowonju for Saturday 31 October 2026 were not checked against Korail, and evening trains to Cheongnyangni are few, so check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+, where KTX and former SRT trains are now booked) or at the station before you go, and book your return seat in advance. Seowonju is about 5 minutes away by taxi (about ₩5,000); there is no taxi rank documented at the site, so book or arrange a taxi before the show ends. Wonju Station is about ₩20,000 away by taxi, so Seowonju is the better choice. The last evening run of bus 52 was not found. | No shuttle to the show was documented. City bus 52 stops at Ganhyeon Rail Park, about 5 minutes' walk from the site; its route, frequency and last evening departure were not found. |
| Hwaseong Haenggung Night Opening | Suwon, Gyeonggi-do | The palace closes at 21:30; take bus 11 or 13 back to Suwon Station for Line 1 to Seoul. Last-train times from Suwon were not checked, so confirm in a transit app if you stay for a late dinner nearby. | — |
| Jeju Biennale | Jeju City, Jeju | Jeju has no trains. In October and November the venues close at 18:00 (Jeju Stone Park's last entry is 17:00), which leaves the evening to get back; check the last Jeju–Gimpo flight when you book, and allow for a taxi to the airport. | No shuttle between the five venues was announced on the pages opened. Inside Jeju Stone Park, an electric tour car leaves every 30 minutes and a full loop takes about 50 minutes. |
| Semiwon Water Lily Festival | Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi-do | The garden closes at 18:00 (last tickets 17:30), well before the last Seoul-bound trains from Yangsu. Last-train times on the festival dates (to 31 October) were not checked against Korail's current Gyeongui-Jungang Line timetable, so check the last Seoul-bound train at Yangsu Station or in Kakao Map or Naver Map before you go, especially if you stay on for sunset at Dumulmeori. | No festival shuttle was announced. Buses 2000-1 (from Gangbyeon Station) and 2000-2 (from Jamsil Station) stop at Yangseo Culture and Sports Park, about 100 m from the garden. |
| Hongseong Namdang Port King Prawn Festival | Hongseong, Chungcheongnam-do | Trains from Hongseong to Yongsan take about 2–2 h 20 m, and the last ones leave in the evening. Korail's timetable changes on 1 November 2026, so check the last train for your date in the Korail app (코레일+ / Korail+) or at Hongseong Station before the festival day, and the last express bus to Seoul Central City at Hongseong Terminal. The festival runs until midnight, long after the last train, so leave enough time for the 25 km taxi ride back to town. | No festival shuttle bus was found for 2026. Hongseong County runs a tourist taxi for visitors from outside the county, for groups of up to four: ₩40,000 for 4 hours, ₩60,000 for 6 hours and ₩20,000 for each extra hour (2024 rates), booked through the county's Culture and Tourism Division (041-630-1228) or the Roiku app. When it started in 2023 it had to be booked at least three days ahead. |
| Bulchwimugwi Night Market | Suwon, Gyeonggi-do | The market closes at 22:00. Take bus 11 back to Suwon Station and Line 1 toward Seoul (53–68 minutes to Seoul Station). Saturday last-train times from Suwon were not checked for this record, so confirm them in a transit app before you go. | No shuttle bus was announced for the market. |
| Gwangju Biennale | Gwangju | The hall closes at 18:00 (James T. Hong's projection on its wall runs 19:00–21:00). KTX trains from Gwangju Songjeong back to Yongsan and Suseo (about 2 hours) and express buses from Gwangju U-Square to Seoul Central City run into the late evening, but a new KTX timetable starts on 1 November 2026: check the last train in the Korail app (코레일+) or at the station before the festival day. Allow time for a taxi or bus back to Gwangju Songjeong. | During the exhibition a shuttle runs 30 times a day between the Gwangju Biennale car park in Maegok-dong and the exhibition hall; on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays a second route links the hall with the main pavilions. Timetables and stops were not published in the sources opened. |
| Namdo K-Garden Festival | Yeosu, Jeollanam-do | The gardens close at 21:00. KTX trains from Yeosu EXPO to Yongsan take about 3 hours and the last ones of the day leave in the late evening, so staying to closing and getting back to Seoul the same night is tight. The times for 24–31 October 2026 have not been confirmed from Korail's timetable for those days: check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+, where KTX and former SRT trains are now booked) or at Yeosu EXPO Station before you go, and allow for the taxi across town from Yeoseo-dong. Express buses to Seoul Central City take about 4 h 30 m and stop running in the evening; check the last one at Yeosu Bus Terminal. Staying the night in Yeosu is easier. | — |
| Pocheon Hantangang Garden Festa | Pocheon, Gyeonggi-do | No railway serves the site. The grounds close at 18:00 (last entry 17:00). Rural Pocheon buses are infrequent, so check the last local bus back towards Pocheon City Hall and the last bus to Seoul in Naver Map or Kakao Map before you set off. | No festival shuttle bus was announced for 2026 on the pages checked. Local buses 100, 60-1 and 60-2 run from the stops around Pocheon City Hall to the Yaksu-dong stop, about 5 minutes on foot from the site. |
| Gyeonggi Ceramics Biennale | Icheon, Gyeonggi-do | All venues close at 18:00 (last entry 17:00). Gyeonggang Line trains from Icheon toward Pangyo run until late in the evening, so getting back to Seoul is easy; check the last train in the Korail app (코레일+) or at the station before the festival day. | No shuttle between the three venues, or from the stations, was announced in the 2026 sources checked. The integrated pass allows one entry to each venue on any day of the run; by car the three towns are within an hour of each other. |
| Gyeongnam Goseong Dinosaur World Expo | Goseong, Gyeongsangnam-do | The expo closes at 18:00 (22:00 on night-opening days). Buses from Goseong Intercity Bus Terminal back to Seoul Nambu take about 4 hours and run only a few times in the afternoon and evening, so to reach Seoul the same night, leave the grounds in mid-afternoon; otherwise plan on a late-night bus or an overnight stay. Check the last bus to Seoul at Goseong Intercity Bus Terminal before the festival day, and allow time for a taxi or rural bus from Danghangpo to the terminal. Return buses to Busan and Masan were not checked. | No 2026 festival shuttle from Goseong terminal, Baedun or Masan was found on the pages opened; ask the Goseong Culture & Tourism Foundation (055-670-7400) before travelling. |
| National Heritage Media Art at Jinnamgwan, Yeosu | Yeosu, Jeollanam-do | The show ends at 21:30. KTX trains from Yeosu EXPO to Yongsan take about 3 hours and the last ones of the day leave in the late evening, so a same-night return is tight. Korail's timetable changes on 1 November 2026, so check the last train for your date in the Korail app (코레일+ / Korail+) or at Yeosu EXPO Station before the day, allow time for the taxi from the old harbour district, and check the last express bus to Seoul Central City at Yeosu Bus Terminal. Staying the night in Yeosu is easier. | — |
| Tripitaka Koreana Cultural Festival | Hapcheon, Gyeongsangnam-do | The festival closes at 18:00. Buses from Haeinsa back to Daegu Seobu take about 1 h 20 m and the last ones leave in the early evening; they start at the Haeinsa terminal, about 5 km from the park, so take a taxi there unless you have confirmed a stop at the park. From Seobu Bus Terminal Station ride Line 1 to Dongdaegu for the KTX to Seoul (about 1 h 40 m–1 h 45 m). A new KTX timetable starts on 1 November 2026, the festival's last day: check the last bus at the terminal and the last KTX in the Korail app (코레일+) before the festival day. | No festival shuttle bus was documented for 2026 on the pages opened. |
| Janghang 1931 Night Tour | Seocheon, Chungcheongnam-do | The event runs 17:00–21:00. In the mid-October 2026 timetable the last train from Janghang to Yongsan left before the 21:00 close, so you cannot stay to the end and still get back to Seoul by train; allow for the taxi of about 6 km to the station. The trains on 30 and 31 October were not checked: look up the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+) or at the station before you go. To stay for the whole evening, sleep in Janghang or in Gunsan, across the Geum River and 7 km further along the line. | No festival shuttle was published for 2026. |
| DMZ OPEN Festival | Paju, Gyeonggi-do | Camp Greaves closes at 17:00 (ticket sales end at 16:00) and the gondola at 18:00 every day, with ticket sales ending at 17:30 (operator's fare page). Gyeongui–Jungang Line trains from Munsan back towards Seoul run well into the evening, and those that run to Seoul Station itself are about hourly outside rush hours; check the last train to your station in the Korail+ app (코레일+) or at Munsan Station before you go. For the music festival in Goyang, check the last train for your own route after the concert. | No festival shuttle bus for DMZ OPEN 2026 was found in the sources. The Imjingak Peace Gondola is the way in to the Camp Greaves venues for individual visitors: about 850 m across the Imjin River in about 6 minutes, cabins for up to 10 people. Buy tickets on site the same day or online; every adult signs a security pledge and shows ID (a passport for foreigners), and the QR ticket is checked on the way in and out. The gondola may not run in bad weather. |
| Nowon Moonlight Walk | Seoul | The lights go off at 22:00. Line 4 and Line 7 trains keep running well after that, so getting home is easy; if you linger nearby, check the last train in a map app. | — |
| Mungyeong Apple Festival | Mungyeong, Gyeongsangbuk-do | The festival closes at 18:00. Only about four KTX-Eum trains a day run from Mungyeong Station to Pangyo (1 h 34 m), and buses from the Mungyeong bus stop to Dong Seoul stop in the evening. Korail's timetable changes on 1 November 2026, the festival's last day, so check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+, where KTX and former SRT trains are now booked) or at Mungyeong Station, and the last bus at the Mungyeong bus stop, before the festival day; on a day trip, plan on an afternoon train rather than the last one. | No festival shuttle was documented. Mungyeong's city buses have been free for everyone, tourists included, since 1 January 2025, and during the 2025 festival free buses ran between KTX Mungyeong Station and the festival site. A 2026 travel blog lists routes 10-3, 21 and 21-2 from Mungyeong Station (about 15 minutes), 10-3 and 21 from the Mungyeong bus stop (about 10 minutes) and 21 from Jeomchon terminal (about 45 minutes). |
| Hampyeong Grand Chrysanthemum Festival | Hampyeong, Jeollanam-do | The grounds close at 18:00. Direct buses from Hampyeong to Seoul run only twice a day, so most travellers return via Gwangju (30 minutes to 1 hour by bus), then take the KTX from Gwangju Songjeong to Yongsan or Suseo (about 2 hours) or one of the frequent express buses from Gwangju U-Square to Seoul Central City. Last-train and last-bus times for the festival dates were not verified, and a new KTX timetable starts on 1 November 2026: before the festival day, check the last KTX in the Korail+ app (코레일+) or at the station and the last bus from Hampyeong to Gwangju at the terminal, and leave Hampyeong in the early evening. | No 2026 festival shuttle was published on the pages opened. |
| Iksan Ten Million Chrysanthemum Festival | Iksan, Jeonbuk State | The grounds close at 21:00. KTX trains from Iksan to Yongsan take about 1 h 17 m–1 h 25 m and run many times a day. Last-train times for the festival dates were not verified, and a new KTX timetable starts on 1 November 2026, the festival's last day, so check the last train back in the Korail+ app (코레일+) or at Iksan Station before the festival day, and allow time for the taxi back to the station. | No 2026 shuttle timetable was found. In 2024 free city-tour buses ran from Iksan Station to the festival, and shuttles linked the grounds with car parks at Palbong Sports Complex, Wonkwang University (east car park) and Sinheung-dong. |
| Namsan Night Festival | Seoul | The Campnic ends at 22:00 and the Palgak Club at 21:00, well before the last subway trains. Hoehyeon Station is about 9 minutes' walk from Baekbeom Square; from the summit after the Palgak Club, allow time to walk down or wait for a Namsan bus. | No festival shuttle was announced. The walks end away from their start (Course 1 at the Namsan Library entrance, Course 2 at Namsangol Hanok Village), and no transport back to Baekbeom Square or Namsan Yejang Park was published. Seoul's 01A and 01B Namsan buses run from the bus transfer car park under Namsan Yejang Park towards N Seoul Tower. |
| Gangjin Bay Dancing Reed Festival | Gangjin, Jeollanam-do | Only four direct buses a day run from Gangjin to Seoul Central City, and the last one may leave before the festival closes at 19:00. To stay later, take a bus from Gangjin to Gwangju U-Square (about 19 a day, 1 h 21 m–2 h 19 m), then one of the frequent express buses from U-Square to Seoul Central City, which run late into the evening. Allow 10–15 minutes by taxi from the park to town first. Last-bus times for the festival dates were not verified: check the last buses at Gangjin Bus Terminal (and, if you return by KTX from Gwangju Songjeong, the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+), as a new KTX timetable starts on 1 November 2026) before the festival day. | Gangjin County's festival page offers a 2026 shuttle-bus timetable, but only as a downloadable file that was not read for this page, so routes and times are not given here; check it on the county's festival page before you go. In 2024 four shuttle buses ran continuously at weekends. |
| Pohang Steel Art Festival | Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do | KTO lists closing at 21:00 Tuesday–Saturday and 18:00 on Sunday. The last trains from Pohang to Seoul Station and Suseo were not confirmed for the festival dates, and a new Korail timetable starts on 1 November 2026, part-way through the festival. Check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+, where KTX and former SRT trains are now booked) or at Pohang Station before you go, allow time for the taxi or bus from the harbour to the station (not verified), and leave the evening exhibitions early or stay the night in Pohang. | No festival shuttle was documented for 2026. City bus stops near Dongbin Culture Warehouse 1969, according to a KTO-data mirror: Lotte Department Store (about 62 m; routes 207, 209, 900 and 양덕3), Pohang Customs (about 306 m; routes including circular 121, 207, 209, 216, 600 and 900) and Bukbu Market/Chaeum Hospital (about 350 m). Which routes run from Pohang Station was not checked. |
| Suseong International Biennale | Daegu | The biennale closes at 21:00. Dongdaegu is 13 metro stops from Suseongmot with a change at Myeongdeok, and the KTX from Dongdaegu to Seoul Station or Suseo takes about 1 h 40 min–1 h 50 min. Most of the run falls under the KTX timetable that starts on 1 November 2026, and last-train times for the biennale dates were not verified, so check the last train back in the Korail+ app (코레일+) or at Dongdaegu Station before the day and leave the lake in good time. Line 3 last-train times from Suseongmot were not checked. | No shuttle was announced. City buses including Suseong 1-1, Suseong 3-1, 204 and 814 stop near the lake. |
| Hongseong Global Barbecue Festival | Hongseong, Chungcheongnam-do | A new Korail timetable takes effect on 1 November 2026, the festival's last day, and train times for the festival dates were not verified, so check the last train from Hongseong to Yongsan (about 2 hours) in the Korail+ app (코레일+, where KTX and former SRT trains are now booked) or at Hongseong Station before the festival day. Express buses also run from Hongseong Terminal to Seoul Central City and Dong Seoul; check the last bus at the terminal. The 2026 closing time has not been officially published (a listing site gives 21:00); after the 1 November fireworks (18:00–19:00) allow for crowds. | Hongseong County's 2026 plan includes shuttle buses between the festival sites (reported 20 Oct 2026); routes and times had not been published by 27 October 2026. The county's AI chatbot for the festival is meant to carry shuttle information, or call the enquiries line (041-630-1150). |
| Busan Mackerel Festival | Busan | The programme ends at 21:00 (KTO). Bus 26 takes about 15 minutes between Songdo Beach and Busan Station (travel-site figure), and the KTX from Busan Station to Seoul Station about 2 h 30 m. A new KTX timetable takes effect on 1 November 2026, the festival's last day, and last-train times for the festival dates were not verified, so check the last train in the Korail app (코레일+) or at Busan Station before the festival day and leave Songdo in good time. | No festival shuttle was announced on the pages opened. City buses 26, 30 and 71 stop at the Songdo Beach stop; buses 30 and 71 continue to the Amnam Park stop at the western end of the cable car. |
| Haenam Minam Festival | Haenam, Jeollanam-do | Bus times for the festival dates were not verified. Direct express buses from Haenam to Seoul run only a few times a day and the last one may leave before the evening programs end (the 2025 festival ran to 21:00), so check the last bus to Seoul Central City or Dong Seoul at Haenam terminal before the festival day. To stay later, the usual route is a bus from Haenam to Gwangju U-Square (1 h 24 m–1 h 48 m) and an express bus from there to Seoul; check those last departures at the terminals too. Return times of the local bus from the park were not found, so allow for a taxi back to Haenam terminal. Kumho Express's overnight Incheon Airport bus leaves Haenam just after midnight; check its departure time at Haenam terminal. | No festival shuttle was documented on the pages opened. From Haenam Bus Terminal the Daeheungsa local bus runs about every 30 minutes and takes about 20 minutes (temple guide, undated); check the last bus back at the terminal, or take a taxi. |
| Mokpo National Heritage Night | Mokpo, Jeollanam-do | The programme runs 18:00–22:00 each evening. A new KTX timetable takes effect on 1 November 2026, the festival's last day, and last-train times for the festival dates were not verified, so check the last train from Mokpo to Yongsan in the Korail app (코레일+) or at Mokpo Station before the festival day. Allow 15 minutes to walk back to Mokpo Station, or stay overnight in Mokpo. | — |
| Wolchulsan Chrysanthemum Festival | Yeongam, Jeollanam-do | The listed hours end at 18:00. The last direct bus from Yeongam to Seoul Central City leaves well before closing. To stay until closing, go back via Gwangju: buses from Yeongam to Gwangju U-Square run into the evening (about 1 h 18 m, ₩9,400), and from Gwangju you continue by express bus from U-Square or by KTX from Gwangju Songjeong. These bus times were not checked against the operators' current timetables, and a new KTX timetable starts on 1 November 2026, so check the last bus at Yeongam terminal and the last train in the Korail app (코레일+) before the festival day. | No 2026 shuttle was published in the sources found. In 2024 a shuttle bus linked the festival with the Yeongam camping expo at the Korea International Circuit on 26–27 October. |
| Yecheon Bow Festival | Yecheon, Gyeongsangbuk-do | The festival runs until 21:00. There is no direct fast train: the last intercity bus from Yecheon to Dong Seoul leaves in the early evening, hours before closing, and only two buses a day run from Yecheon to Andong Terminal, next to Andong Station (KTX-Eum to Cheongnyangni). These times were not checked against the operators' timetables for the festival dates, and a new Korail timetable starts on 1 November 2026, the festival's last day, so check the last bus at the Yecheon bus stop and the last train in the Korail app (코레일+) before the festival day. An evening visit means staying overnight or driving. | — |
| Yeongdo Bridge Festival | Busan | The programme ends at 20:00 (KTO). Nampo is two stops from Busan Station on Line 1; from Amir Park, allow time for the bus back to Nampo first. The KTX from Busan Station to Seoul Station takes about 2 h 30 m. A new KTX timetable takes effect on 1 November 2026, the festival's last day, and last-train times for the festival dates were not verified, so check the last train in the Korail app (코레일+) or at Busan Station before the festival day. | No shuttle between the two sites was announced on the pages opened. City buses 66 and 186 link Nampo Station Exit 6, near the bridge, with the National Maritime Museum stop next to Amir Park. |
| Yesan Apple Festival | Yesan, Chungcheongnam-do | The festival runs to 20:00 on Friday 30 October and to 18:00 on Saturday 31 October. Trains from Yesan to Yongsan (about 1 h 45 m–2 h) and buses from Yesan Terminal to Seoul Central City run into the evening, but the last departures on 30–31 October could not be checked against Korail or the bus operator, so check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+, where KTX and former SRT trains are now booked) or at Yesan Station, and the last bus at the terminal, before you go. Allow 20–30 minutes for the taxi of about 6 km back to town. | No festival shuttle information was found for 2026. |
| Masan Gagopa Chrysanthemum Festival | Changwon (Masanhappo-gu), Gyeongsangnam-do | The last train times from Masan for 31 October–8 November were not checked: a new KTX timetable starts on 1 November 2026, so check the last train back to Seoul in the Korail app (코레일+) or at Masan Station before the festival day, and book the return in advance. Festival shuttles stop at 18:00 on weekdays and run later at weekends. The sea nakhwa show on Wednesday 4 November starts at 19:00 and lasts about an hour, and the start time of the opening-night fireworks on Saturday 31 October was not published: staying overnight in Changwon is the safer plan. | 2026: a free circular shuttle from Masan Station, every 30 minutes according to a travel guide's report of the city's schedule, on the loop Masan Station → Odong-dong Culture Plaza → IBK Bank / Hapo Waterfront Park → 3·15 Haeyang Nuri Park → Masan Gagopa Fisheries Market → Masan Station. On weekdays it stops at 18:00 (Maeil Shinmun, 16 October 2026); it runs later at weekends, but the city has not published the weekend end time on the pages read, so check the last shuttle at the stop. Free shuttles to Masan Station also ran every 30 minutes in 2023. |
| Miryang Spicy Food Festival | Miryang, Gyeongsangnam-do | The festival closes at 21:00, and Miryang Station is about 10 minutes away by taxi. Train times for the festival days were not checked: 31 October runs on the October timetable and 1 November on the new KTX timetable that starts that day, so check the last train back to Seoul (or Suseo, which has only a few KTX-Sancheon trains a day) in the Korail app (코레일+) or at Miryang Station before the festival day, and book the return in advance. | No festival shuttle had been published as of 28 October 2026 (the city's 26 October announcement of the programme mentions none). |
| Cheongsong Apple Festival | Cheongsong, Gyeongsangbuk-do | No trains serve Cheongsong. The last buses from Cheongsong and the last trains onward on 4–8 November (under the bus operators' timetables and Korail's timetable from 1 November 2026) were not verified, so no times are given here. The direct bus to Dong Seoul takes about 4 hours (3 h 58 m); other ways back are the bus to Dong-Daegu (2 h 09 m) for a KTX, or the bus to Andong Terminal (1 h 20 m) for a KTX-Eum. The evening concerts started at 18:00 in 2024 and 2025 (2026 times not published), so a same-day return to Seoul may mean missing them. Check the last bus at Cheongsong Intercity Bus Terminal and the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+) before you go, or stay overnight in Cheongsong. | No festival shuttle was documented for 2024–2026. |
| Goesan Kimjang Festival | Goesan, Chungcheongbuk-do | No trains serve Goesan. Last-bus times for the festival dates were not verified against the operators' timetables, so none are given here: check the last bus to Dong Seoul or Seoul Central City at Goesan Intercity Bus Terminal before the festival day. The last kimjang session starts at 16:00, so a day trip should be possible, but the evening concerts and the fireworks on 6 and 8 November need an overnight stay in Goesan or a car. Extra buses during the festival were not announced. | No 2026 shuttle had been announced in the county notices and news read by 27 October 2026. A 2025 travel blog mentioned a shuttle from Goesan terminal, but the county never confirmed it, so do not count on one; the terminal and the festival grounds are in the same town. Drive-through participants need their own car. |
| Jeju Olle Walking Festival | Jeju City, Jeju | Jeju has no trains. KTO lists the festival day as 08:00–16:00. Day 1 finishes at Dongbok-ri Sports Park and Days 2 and 3 at Jeju Batdam Theme Park in Gujwa-eup, so ride the festival shuttle back, or take a taxi or an east-coast city bus to Jeju City. An evening flight to Gimpo after the last day is possible, but staying on Jeju is easier. | Festival shuttle buses run between hubs in Jeju City and Seogwipo and the day's start and finish points. Per a blog summary of the organizer's FAQ, tickets are sold only in advance in the Olle Pass app (no sales on site, and tickets can sell out); the fare it quotes is not in an organizer notice we could open; exchange the app voucher for a paper ticket at your first boarding stop, and lost tickets are not reissued. Routes and times by date are on the festival site's transport page, which could not be opened for this record. |
| Gimhae Buncheong Ceramics Festival | Gimhae, Gyeongsangnam-do | The festival closes at 20:00 on Friday to Sunday and at 18:00 on Monday 9 and Tuesday 10 November; add the taxi or bus ride to whichever station you use (Changwon Jungang or Busan). Korail's timetable changes on 1 November 2026 and the last KTX times for the festival dates were not verified, so check the last train in the Korail app (코레일+ / Korail+) or at the station before the festival day. | No 2026 shuttle had been announced as of 18 October 2026. At the old Jillye site in 2025 the festival ran shuttle buses from temporary car parks. |
| Gumi Ramyeon Festival | Gumi, Gyeongsangbuk-do | The festival is at the station, so you can stay until close (21:00 in the ministry's 2026 listing). The last trains back to Seoul on the festival dates were not verified: Korail's timetable changes on 1 November 2026. Check the last ITX or Mugunghwa from Gumi Station, or the last KTX from Gimcheon(Gumi) Station (a bus or taxi ride away), in the Korail app (코레일+ / Korail+) before the festival day, and book the return in advance. | 2026: Kakao T shuttle buses on 7 routes, from Seoul Station, Jamsil and Sadang in the capital region and from Daegu, Busan, Daejeon and Gwangju, for a round trip to the festival. Return fares are ₩59,000 from Seoul, ₩45,000 from Busan and ₩25,000 from Daegu; each route runs only if demand is enough, and times, pick-up points and booking steps were not in the announcement read. No 2026 notice of local shuttles from car parks had been found by 28 October. |
| Jeju Garden Culture Expo | Seogwipo, Jeju | Jeju has no trains. The expo closes at 19:00 (KTO). The limousine 600 timetable in force in November 2026, including the last bus from the World Cup Stadium stop back to the airport, was not checked: check it at the stop or at the airport bus information desk before you go, allow about 1 h 30 min for the return, and plan to stay the night on Jeju unless you have a late flight. | No expo shuttle had been announced on the pages opened as of 19 October 2026; the official site, jeju-garden-expo.kr, could not be opened. Limousine bus 800 links Jeju Bus Terminal and the airport with Seogwipo Bus Terminal without passing through Jungmun. |
| Yanggu Punchbowl Siraegi Apple Festival | Yanggu, Gangwon State | The national timetable feed lists Yanggu under two terminal names (Yanggu Intercity Bus Terminal and Yanggu Jeongjungang Terminal) with different departure lists, and the return times to Dong Seoul could not be checked against the operator's current timetable: check the last bus at the Yanggu terminal before the festival day. The festival closes at 17:00, and you still have to get back over the pass to Yanggu town; rural-bus times from Haean were not found, so ask at the festival information desk or book a taxi. | No festival shuttle bus was documented for 2024–2026 on the pages opened. Yanggu's county buses, including the rural buses to Haean, have been free for all riders since January 2025 (county announcement of December 2024). |
| Busan Fireworks Festival | Busan | Gwangan Station is jammed after the 20:00 finale. Locals walk one stop west to Geumnyeonsan Station or one stop east to Suyeong Station (both Line 2), or wait about 30 minutes on the beach before moving. In 2024 and 2025 the plan was to add empty trains at Suyeong, Gwangan and Geumnyeonsan and to let trains skip some stations if crowding became dangerous; 2025 had 200 extra runs on Lines 1–3. No 2026 plan had been published by 27 October; do not assume last trains are extended. Back to Seoul: the KTX from Busan Station to Seoul Station takes about 2 h 30 m. Korail's new timetable starts on 1 November and the 7 November last train could not be checked, so check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+) or at the station before you go, and book your return in advance; those tickets are already on sale. Allow at least an hour from Gwangalli to Busan Station (Line 2 to Seomyeon, then Line 1). | The official location guide mentions no festival shuttle. NOL World sold a paid shuttle-and-seat package (pickups 15:00 at Busan Station Exit 6 and 15:20 at Lotte Department Store near Seomyeon Exit 7), which showed as unavailable on 21 October. The organizer provides no parking and asks visitors to use public transport. In 2024 and 2025 the city concentrated extra buses on routes near the venue; the 2026 bus plan had not been published by 27 October. |
| Hwasun Unju Culture Festival | Hwasun, Jeollanam-do | The festival closes at 17:00. Bus times from the Unjusa stop were not verified: in October 2025 a visitor found the timetable posted for bus 318 out of date, with a long wait for the next bus, and suggested walking 10–15 minutes to the main road, where bus 218 runs more often. Back to Seoul, the KTX from Gwangju Songjeong takes about 2 hours, and express buses also run from Gwangju U-Square to Seoul Central City. A new KTX timetable starts on 1 November, so check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+) or at the station, and the last bus at the terminal, before the festival day. | No festival shuttle had been announced on the pages opened; KTO's listing gives no transport details. |
| Jirisan Piagol Autumn Foliage Festival | Gurye, Jeollanam-do | County buses leave Piagol for Gurye every hour, the last at 20:10, and the last bus from Gurye to Seoul Nambu leaves at 19:50 (Gurye County bus timetable dated 1 Oct 2026, checked 21 Oct 2026), so take a county bus from Piagol by about 18:10. By train, the KTX from Guryegu to Seoul Station takes about 2 h 40 m–3 h 20 m; a new KTX timetable starts on 1 November, so check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+) or at Guryegu Station before the festival day. | No 2026 shuttle was published. In 2023 cars were restricted on the foliage road between Pyeongdo and Jikjeon villages and shuttle buses ran from Pyeongdo to the Yeongoksa car park and Jikjeon (frequency not stated). The regular county bus runs hourly from Gurye to Piagol. |
| Goheung Yuzu Festival | Goheung, Jeollanam-do | Direct express buses back to Seoul Central City are few, and their times could not be checked against the operator's current timetable. To stay into the evening, the alternative is an intercity bus from Goheung terminal to the Suncheon Station stop (about 1 h 5 m) and a KTX from Suncheon to Yongsan (most trains about 2 h 35 m–2 h 50 m). A new KTX timetable starts on 1 November, so check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+) or at Suncheon Station, and the last buses at Goheung terminal, before the festival day; allow time for the shuttle or a taxi from the grounds to Goheung terminal. | For 2026 the county says it will add buses and run them more often between Goheung-eup and the grounds; no 2026 route, timetable or fare had been found by 28 October 2026. In 2025 a loop route linked the salt-factory car park, the festival grounds, the township office and the Agricultural Technology Center car park, with wheelchair-accessible vehicles (visitor guide summary). |
| Jinan Highland Kimchi Bossam Festival | Jinan, Jeonbuk State | No trains serve Jinan, and direct buses to Seoul Express Bus Terminal run only twice a day, so for an evening return go via Jeonju: an intercity bus to Jeonju Intercity Bus Terminal (46 minutes; buses run into the evening), then a taxi to Jeonju Station for the KTX or ITX-Maeum to Yongsan (about 1 h 40 m by KTX). A new KTX timetable starts on 1 November 2026, and the last train and last bus for the festival dates were not verified: check the last train from Jeonju in the Korail+ app (코레일+) or at the station, and the last bus from Jinan at the terminal, before the festival day. | In 2025 shuttle buses ran from the Jinan bus terminal to the festival area, according to a community post; times and 2026 plans were not published. |
| Moseulpo Southernmost Yellowtail Festival | Seogwipo, Jeju | Jeju has no trains. The 2026 daily hours are not yet published, and the Sunday closing ceremony and fireworks run into the evening; bus 151 back to the airport and Jeju City takes about 1 h 15 min. Last-bus times for 19–22 November 2026 were not checked: check the last bus 151 at the stop or at the terminal before you go. Staying the night in the southwest or in Seogwipo, or booking a taxi, is safer than a same-day flight home. | A festival shuttle or park-and-ride for 19–22 November 2026 is not yet confirmed. Route 152, still listed on the festival site, stopped running in August 2024; use 151. |
| Pohang International Fireworks Festival | Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do | The 2026 international fireworks show runs 20:00–21:00 on Saturday 21 November. Pohang Station is on the north-west edge of the city and the crowds leave the beach at the same time, so a train back to Seoul or Busan the same night is not reliable: stay in Pohang and take a morning train. A new KTX timetable starts on 1 November 2026, and the last trains and buses for 21 November were not verified: check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+) or at Pohang Station, and the last bus at Pohang Terminal, before the festival day. | No 2026 shuttle plan had been published as of 21 October 2026. At the 2023 edition (Hyeongsan River venue) six shuttle buses ran on three routes from temporary car parks every 30 minutes from mid-afternoon into the night on the main day; those times do not apply to 2026. Before the 2024 Yeongildae edition a travel blog listed temporary car parks at schools, the baseball stadium, Pohang Sports Complex and Pohang Culture and Arts Center, with shuttles expected, but the 2024 timetable was not confirmed. |
| Sunchang Korea Tteokbokki Festa | Sunchang, Jeonbuk State | Direct buses from Sunchang to Seoul Central City run only a few times a day, and the last one may leave before the festival closes at 17:00 on Sunday, so check it at the terminal. For a later return you must first reach Gwangju, Namwon or Jeonju (Sunchang-outbound times were not found, so ask at the terminal), then take an express bus from Gwangju U-Square to Seoul Central City, the KTX from Gwangju Songjeong to Suseo, or the KTX from Jeonju to Yongsan. A new KTX timetable starts on 1 November 2026 and the last trains for 22 November were not verified: check them in the Korail+ app (코레일+) or at the station before the festival day. Staying overnight, or joining Saturday's free camp, is easier. | No festival shuttle was published for 2024–2026. The organizer's directions page lists rural bus routes that stop at Baeksan village and at the folk village (Minsok Maeul) stop, without times. |
| Haeundae Light Festival | Busan | In 2025 the lights stayed on until 23:00, so returning to Seoul the same night means leaving while they are still on. Allow about an hour from Haeundae to Busan Station on the metro (change at Seomyeon). The last trains on the festival dates under the Korail timetable in force from 1 November 2026 were not checked: check the last KTX from Busan Station in the Korail+ app (코레일+; KTX and former SRT trains are booked there since the 1 Sep 2026 merger) or at the station before you go, and book the return in advance. Staying overnight in Haeundae is easier. | — |
| Gwanghwamun Market | Seoul | Ordinary-night last subway trains at Gwanghwamun Station were not checked; if you stay late, look them up in a map app or at the station before you go. On New Year's Eve 2025 the city ran the subway past midnight for the Bosingak bell-ringing, and Line 1 trains skipped Jonggak during the event; the 2026 arrangements had not been announced as of 21 October 2026, so check Seoul's announcement before 31 December. | — |
| Seoul Lantern Festival | Seoul | Lanterns stayed lit until 23:00 in 2025 (2026–27 hours not yet published). Subway Lines 1, 2 and 5 serve the stations around the route into the late evening; if you stay until the end, check the last train for your line at the station or in a subway app before you go, especially if you have to change lines. Walking east to Jonggak or Euljiro stations spreads the crowd leaving Cheonggye Plaza. | — |
| Daegwallyeong Snow Festival | Pyeongchang, Gangwon State | The grounds close at about 17:00–17:30. In October 2026 buses ran from Hoenggye to Dong Seoul and Seoul Nambu, and KTX-Eum trains from Jinbu (Odaesan) to Seoul Station (about 1 h 31 m–1 h 51 m), but the timetables for the 2027 festival dates have not been checked. Check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+) or at the station, and the last bus at the Hoenggye terminal, before the festival day. Local buses from Hoenggye to Jinbu take 16 minutes, and the station is about 2 km beyond Jinbu town, so a taxi is the quickest link. On Lunar New Year weekends book the return early. | Kyongbuk Maeil reported a shuttle bus linked to KTX Jinbu Station during the 2026 festival, but the organizer published no route or timetable. Its directions give the regular route: Jinbu Station to Jinbu bus terminal, bus to Hoenggye terminal, then a 10-minute walk. |
| Cheongju Craft Biennale | Cheongju, Chungcheongbuk-do | Express buses run back from Cheongju Intercity Bus Terminal to Seoul Central City (listed at 2 h 35 m) and Dong Seoul (1 h 42 m), ₩14,000 deluxe. The 2025 biennale closed at 19:00, so a same-day return should be easy; check the last bus at the terminal (or on the bus booking site) before your visit. | — |
| Jarasum Jazz Festival | Gapyeong, Gyeonggi-do | Evening sets end around 20:00–21:30 (the timetable was published only as images). Gapyeong Station has late ITX-Cheongchun and Gyeongchun-line departures toward Seoul, but times were not verified; most visitors either take the 20:30/21:40 Kkotgama coach or stay overnight in a Gapyeong pension or the island campsite. | 2026: free town shuttle on 9 and 10 October only, 11:00–21:00 every 20 minutes (not on Sunday 11 October). Paid Kkotgama coaches to Jarasum from Sadang, Seoul Station, Jamsil Sports Complex Station and Hapjeong, app booking with QR ticket; return departures 20:30 (21:40 on day 3), or 30 minutes after an encore-delayed finish; return routes to Gangbyeon/Seoul/Hapjeong, Jamsil/Gangnam, Express Bus Terminal/Sadang and Migeum/Suwon. Under-filled routes may be cancelled with a refund. |
| Guryongpo Gwamegi Festival | Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do | The 2024 festival ran until 20:00. The last trains from Pohang Station to Seoul Station and Suseo on the festival dates were not checked: check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+, where KTX and former SRT trains are now booked) or at the station before you go. Because the cross-city transfer from Guryongpo to the station is long, leave the festival by early evening or stay the night in Pohang. | No festival shuttle was documented for 2024 or 2025. |
| Gwangbok-ro Winter Light Tree Festival | Busan | The lights go off at 22:00. Busan Station is two stops from Nampo on Busan Metro Line 1, but the last KTX from Busan to Seoul under the timetable in force from 1 November 2026 was not checked, so whether you can get back the same night depends on it: check the last train in the Korail app (코레일+) or at Busan Station before your visit, and book the return in advance. | — |
| Paju Jangdan Bean Festival | Paju, Gyeonggi-do | The festival closed at 17:00 in 2024 and 2025, hours before the last Gyeongui–Jungang trains leave Munsan for Seoul. Trains that run to Seoul Station itself are about hourly outside rush hours. The last festival shuttle from Imjingak to Munsan has not been published, so ask on site, and check the last train back in the Korail+ app (코레일+) or at Munsan Station before you go. | Circular shuttle buses linked Munsan Station on the Gyeongui–Jungang Line with the festival grounds in 2024 and 2025, running frequently; the Herald describes the 2025 service as free. For 2026, the poster printed in K-Festival magazine's October 2026 issue mentions a free shuttle bus from Munsan Station; no timetable or last run from Imjingak has been published, and Paju City has not yet announced the 2026 service. |
| Seocheon Migratory Bird Festival | Seocheon, Chungcheongnam-do | The 2026 dates are not announced, and the last trains from Janghang to Yongsan on the festival date have not been checked. Check the last train back in the Korail+ app (코레일+, where KTX and former SRT trains are also booked since the 1 September 2026 merger) or at Janghang Station before you go, and allow time for the taxi back to the station. | No festival shuttle has been published for 2026; none was reported in 2025. |
| Chilgapsan Ice Fountain Festival | Cheongyang, Chungcheongnam-do | Cheongyang has no train station. Express buses from Cheongyang to Seoul Central City run about six times a day, with a single morning bus to Dong Seoul; times for the 2026–27 season were not verified, so check the last bus at Cheongyang terminal before the festival day. Rural buses between Cheonjang-ri and Jeongsan are infrequent, so plan a taxi back to Cheongyang terminal if you stay for the evening lights (closing 19:00 weekdays, 20:00 weekends in 2025–26). | No festival shuttle was documented. Trazy sells a winter day tour from Seoul on set weekdays, with early-morning pick-ups at Hongik Univ. Station Exit 4, Myeongdong Station Exit 3 and Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station Exit 10 and a return to Seoul in the late afternoon; the season shown was 24 Dec–15 Feb (year not stated), so check the times and dates when booking. |
| Damyang Santa Festival | Damyang, Jeollanam-do | Direct express buses from Damyang Bus Terminal to Seoul Central City stop in the early evening, probably before the Christmas Eve parade, fireworks and concerts finish. To stay later, go back via Gwangju: intercity buses and city bus 311 link Damyang and Gwangju, but return times for the festival date are not published, so leave Damyang with plenty of margin. From Gwangju Songjeong the KTX takes about 2 hours to Yongsan or Suseo, and express buses run from U-Square to Seoul Central City until late at night. Check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+; KTX and former SRT trains are booked there since the 1 Sep 2026 merger) or at the station, and the last buses at the terminal, before you go; seats around Christmas are worth booking early. | No festival shuttle was documented for 2023–2025 in the sources opened. |
| Hangang Festival (Winter) | Seoul | Recent programmes ended by 21:00 (market 21:00 in 2024 and 2025, domes 21:00 in 2024), well before the last subway trains. | No festival shuttle. Hangang Bus river boats stop at Ttukseom Pier; in September 2026 the fare was ₩3,000 and boats ran about once an hour (hgbus.co.kr). Whether they run on the festival days in winter was not checked. |
| Homigot New Year Sunrise Festival | Pohang, Gyeongsangbuk-do | The festival runs until about 09:00 on 1 January, after the sunrise and the tteokguk. The KTX from Pohang to Seoul Station takes about 2 h 20 m–2 h 30 m, but a third-party listing of the October 2026 timetable showed long daytime gaps between Pohang–Seoul Station trains (it appears to show only part of the service), and the 1 January 2027 timetable has not been checked. Check the trains in the Korail+ app (코레일+; KTX and former SRT trains are booked there since the 1 Sep 2026 merger) or at the station before you go, and book an afternoon or evening train: leaving the cape on New Year's morning is slow, with the car parks full and the approach roads crowded. | No shuttle bus from Pohang city (station or bus terminals) to Homigot was documented in the city's plans or the press reports opened for the 2022–23 to 2025–26 editions, so plan on a taxi or a car. Tour coaches have their own parking: the 2022–23 traffic plan set aside space for about 30 large buses on the Daecheon Bridge coastal road. |
| Jeongdongjin New Year Sunrise Festival | Gangneung, Gangwon State | Only a few direct KTX-Eum trains a day run from Jeongdongjin to Seoul Station (about 2 h 10 m); Gangneung Station, a taxi ride north, has many more. Korail's timetable changes on 1 November 2026 and New Year timetables may differ, so check the trains back in the Korail+ app (코레일+) or at the station before the festival day. On 1 January 2023 most KTX from Gangneung to Seoul were sold out and travellers switched to buses, so book the return with the outbound. By car, the expressway operator forecast up to 6 hours from Gangneung to Seoul on New Year's Day 2026. | — |
| Lighting Festival at the Garden of Morning Calm | Gapyeong, Gyeonggi-do | In 2025–26 the lights went off at 21:00 (23:00 on Saturdays). Buses between the garden and Cheongpyeong are sparse in the evening (in 2022 the 30-6 left Cheongpyeong about every 80 minutes), so most visitors without a car take a taxi back to Cheongpyeong Station, about 15 minutes. ITX-Cheongchun and Gyeongchun-line trains run from Cheongpyeong to Seoul into the evening; check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+, where KTX and former SRT trains are now booked) or at the station before you go, especially for a Saturday visit to the late close. | No official festival shuttle was found. The Gapyeong tourist circular bus stops at the garden on course B, which starts at Cheongpyeong Station (one-day ticket with unlimited rides: adults ₩8,000, youth and children ₩6,000, under 3 free; the loop was split into courses A and B in April 2026), but its winter and evening timetable was not found. A travel blog describes a paid evening festival shuttle from Cheongpyeong Station; neither the garden nor KTO confirms it. |
| Seoul Light DDP | Seoul | The shows end by about 22:00, within normal subway hours. The New Year's Eve countdown ran until 01:30 in 2023 and 2024; Seoul has run the subway later than usual on New Year's Eve, but check the city's New Year's Eve transport notice before relying on a late train. Back to Busan the same night: the KTX from Seoul Station takes about 2 h 30 m; check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+, where KTX and former SRT trains are now booked) or at the station before you go. | — |
| Seoul Winter Festa | Seoul | Most programmes end between 21:30 and 23:00, within normal subway hours. On New Year's Eve 2025 the city ran the subway (Lines 1–9, Ui-Sinseol and Sillim, with 104 extra trains) and the buses near Bosingak later than usual, trains did not stop at Jonggak Station around midnight, and the city pointed people to City Hall, Jongno 3-ga, Euljiro 1-ga and Gwanghwamun stations. Check the city's New Year's Eve transport notice for this year before relying on a late train or bus. | — |
| Suseong Light Art Festival | Daegu | Going back to Seoul the same night usually means leaving before the lights go off. Back to Seoul: the KTX from Dongdaegu to Seoul Station or Suseo takes about 1 h 40 min–1 h 55 min and runs until late evening; check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+; KTX and former SRT trains are booked there since the 1 Sep 2026 merger) or at the station before you go. Dongdaegu is 13 metro stops from Suseongmot with a change at Myeongdeok, so leave the lake in good time; Line 3 last trains from Suseongmot were not checked. | No festival shuttle was documented for 2024 or 2025. In 2023 a free Suseong Tour Bus circled the lake on 22–25 December. City buses including Suseong 1-1, Suseong 3-1, 204 and 814 stop near the lake. |
| ASSITEJ Korea Winter Festival | Seoul | Show times vary by production and were not published for 2026–27; Hyehwa is a central Line 4 station, so getting back after an evening show is straightforward. | — |
| Hongcheon River Kkongkkong Festival | Hongcheon, Gangwon State | About 34 buses a day ran from Hongcheon Terminal to Dong Seoul in October 2026, scheduled at 1 h 07 m; the January 2027 timetable has not been checked. Fishing ended at 17:30 in 2026. Check the last bus back at Hongcheon Terminal before the festival day. | Korail's 'Hongcheon city tour by Mugunghwa train' ran 8 times between 13 and 24 January 2026: a Mugunghwa train from Cheongnyangni to Seowonju, then a tour bus to the festival, Sutasa Temple on Gongjaksan, the Hite Jinro brewery, Hongcheon Art Museum and Hongcheon Cathedral; 40 seats per run, first come, first served. Its price was not given in the sources opened. In 2020 the agency Trazy sold a foreigners-only day package from hotels in Hongdae and Myeongdong as a full day trip. No 2027 shuttle had been announced as of 19 October 2026. |
| Hwacheon Sancheoneo Ice Festival | Hwacheon, Gangwon State | Intercity buses ran from Hwacheon Public Bus Terminal to Dong Seoul 8 times a day in October 2026 (scheduled at about 3 h 25 m); the January 2027 timetable has not been checked, and extra buses may run during the festival. Daytime fishing ends at 18:00 and night fishing runs 18:00–21:00. Check the last bus back at the Hwacheon terminal before the festival day; if it leaves before you finish, plan an overnight stay or drive. | Free shuttles every 10–15 minutes ran between the overflow car park (about 500 m away) and the festival entrance in 2026; no Seoul shuttle was documented on the pages opened. |
| Pyeongchang Trout Festival | Pyeongchang, Gangwon State | The site closes at 17:00 (ticket sales end 16:00), so you can take an early-evening KTX back; check the Korail+ app for the timetable in force, and Jinbu Bus Terminal (033-335-6963) for the last bus to Dong Seoul. | No festival shuttle was published for 2026; the organizer's travel/shuttle board was empty. Jinbu Bus Terminal (033-335-6963) and the Jinbu taxi office (033-335-1050) are the local links. |
| Taebaeksan Snow Festival | Taebaek, Gangwon State | The grounds closed at 17:00 in 2026, with the sculptures lit until 22:00. The rail and bus timetables for the 2027 festival dates have not been checked, and winter and Lunar New Year timetables may differ: check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+) or at Taebaek Station, and the last bus at Taebaek Bus Terminal, before the festival day, and book the return early at weekends. | No festival shuttle was documented in the 2026 sources opened. In 2024 free shuttle buses ran on the 1.7 km road between the national park entrance and the Dangol car park. Check the official site (taebaeksnow.com) before you travel. |
| Gangjin Celadon Festival | Gangjin, Jeollanam-do | The festival closed at 18:00 in 2026. Direct buses from Gangjin to Seoul Central City ran only four times a day in October 2026; the other way home is a bus from Gangjin to Gwangju U-Square (1 h 21 m–2 h 19 m) and then an express bus to Seoul Central City or the KTX from Gwangju Songjeong to Yongsan (about 2 h). The timetables for the 2027 festival dates have not been checked: check the last bus at Gangjin Bus Terminal and the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+) before the festival day, and allow about 30 minutes from the festival grounds to Gangjin town first. | 2026 shuttle details were not published on the pages opened. In 2024 shuttle buses ran 24 times a day between the county gym, the county office and Gangjin Bus Terminal. In 2023 two services ran: a Gwangju–Gangjin Terminal–Gaudo–celadon kiln site–Dangmok bus 4–5 times a day (about 1 h 20 m), and a local bus from Gangjin Stadium via the county office and the bus terminal to the site 12 times a day (about 30 minutes). Transport inquiries in 2023: 061-430-3944. |
| Haeundae Dalmaji Hot Spring Festival | Busan | The programme ended at 19:10 in 2025 and 19:20 in 2026. Allow about an hour from Haeundae to Busan Station on the metro (change at Seomyeon); the KTX to Seoul Station takes about 2 h 30 m. The timetable for 21 February 2027 has not been checked, and it is a Sunday: check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+) or at the station before the festival day and book the return early. | — |
| Gurye Sansuyu Flower Festival | Gurye, Jeollanam-do | Guryegu Station had six trains a day to Seoul Station in October 2026, and KTX trains to Yongsan also leave from Suncheon; buses run from Gurye Public Bus Terminal to Seoul Nambu (3 h 13 m). The timetables for March 2027 have not been checked: check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+) or at the station, and the last bus at Gurye Public Bus Terminal, before the festival day. The time of the last county bus from Sandong back to Gurye was not found. | Weekend shuttle buses ran in 2025 and 2026, looping between the parking areas and the main points of the festival (two routes in 2025); check this edition's notice for times. Routes were published only as a map image, and stops, frequency and any fare were not given on the pages opened. |
| Gwangyang Maehwa Festival | Gwangyang, Jeollanam-do | KTX trains run from Suncheon to Yongsan (usually 2 h 25 m–2 h 50 m); the timetable for the 2027 festival dates has not been checked, so check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+) or at the station before the festival day. The 2026 downtown shuttle ran at weekends only; otherwise take bus 15 to Gwangyang Terminal (only a few a day, so check the last one) or bus 35-1 to Hadong, or a taxi (drivers from the village may only agree to go to Gurye). | 2026 (Seoul Shinmun; the city's festival page links a free-shuttle and parking notice): more shuttles between Dunchi parking lot and the grounds, and a new downtown shuttle (Gwangyang-eup – Jungma-dong – festival) six times a day at weekends. Per a visitor guide that could not be rechecked: the Dunchi shuttle covered 1.5 km and ran every day from early morning into the evening; a Sodunchi lot (3 km) shuttle ran on the two weekends only; the downtown shuttle left Gwangyang Terminal via the tourist information centre in the morning, cost about ₩5,000 return and was booked in the MY광양 app with a bank transfer by the day before. Times change each year: check the city's shuttle notice for this edition. |
| Gyeongju Cherry Blossom Festival | Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do | The festival runs until 22:00, with the lights from 20:00. KTX trains from Gyeongju Station back to Seoul Station take about 2 h 15 m. Train times changed on 1 November 2026 and the spring 2027 times are not out yet, so this page gives no last-train time: check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+, where KTX and former SRT trains are booked since the 1 September 2026 merger) or at the station before the festival day, and allow about 20 minutes by taxi from the festival road to the station. | No festival shuttle was reported for 2024–2026; the city asks visitors to use public transport. |
| Jeju Fire Festival | Jeju City, Jeju | Jeju has no trains. Listed hours end at 21:00, and the final-night concert follows the digital fire show, so use the festival shuttle back to Jeju City, Aewol or Seogwipo (last departures not published) or arrange a taxi in advance; the road out along Pyeonghwa-ro has a history of heavy jams when the crowd leaves. Plan to stay the night on Jeju rather than fly back to Seoul the same evening. | In 2026 three festival shuttle routes ran to Saebyeol Oreum every 10–30 minutes: (1) Jeju Sports Complex → Jeju Halla University → Saebyeol Oreum; (2) Aewol Gymnasium → Saebyeol Oreum; (3) Seogwipo 2nd Government Office → Cheonjeyeon entrance → Saebyeol Oreum. Check this edition's notice for the 2027 routes and times; the fare, last return shuttles and whether shuttles ran on the pre-event days were not published on the pages opened. |
| Jinhae Gunhangje Festival | Changwon (Jinhae-gu), Gyeongsangnam-do | No trains in Jinhae itself. Direct buses from Jinhae Intercity Bus Terminal to Seoul (Nambu Terminal or Dong Seoul) take about 4 h 20 m–4 h 50 m; by KTX from Changwon Jungang Station to Seoul Station it is about 2 h 44 m; intercity buses to Busan Seobu (Sasang) take about 1 hour. Korail's timetable changed on 1 November 2026 and the spring 2027 times are not out yet, so this page gives no last-train or last-bus time: check the last train in the Korail app (코레일+ / Korail+) or at the station, and the last bus at Jinhae terminal, before the festival day, and buy the return bus ticket when you arrive. Night-time traffic out of Jinhae is slow on the peak weekend, so seeing Yeojwacheon lit up usually means staying over. | In 2026 three free weekend shuttle routes ran; a local blog gives them as Blue: Bukwon Rotary – Jungang Market – Gyeonghwa Station – Jinhae Station; Yellow: temporary car parks – Jinhae Station – Gyeonghwa Station; Red: main sights. There was also a double-decker 'cherry blossom tour bus' loop from Jinhae Station and a 3.2 km bus-only lane Bukwon Rotary – Jinhae Station – Gyeonghwa Station. Routes and hours are set each year: check this edition's notice. |
| Seogwipo Canola Flower Festival | Seogwipo, Jeju | Jeju has no trains. The 2026 festival ran until 20:00 (KTO). | Biseulsan Azalea Culture Festival | Daegu (Dalseong-gun), Daegu | Bus 600 runs only at weekends and on public holidays, every 40–60 minutes; its last departure from the forest was not found, so allow time. Back to Seoul, KTX trains from Dongdaegu take about 1 h 40 min–1 h 50 min. Train times changed on 1 November 2026 and the spring 2027 times are not out yet, so this page gives no last-train time: check the last train in the Korail app (코레일+ / Korail+) or at the station before the festival day. The 2026 main-event programme ran 08:00–16:00. | 2026: free shuttle buses ran often from two temporary car parks near the recreation-forest entrance junction (Yong-ri 444-1 and 889-1, Yuga-eup) to the event site, and free electric buses carried visitors from the Biseulsan Youth Hostel to the azalea field from the morning: 14 buses about every 5 minutes, about 20 minutes each way, with waits of more than two hours on Sunday 19 April. In 2023 visitors took a ticket at the ticket office and waited to be counted onto a bus. In 2025 the azalea tour bus was scheduled from 29 March to 6 May and free only for ten days from 11 April; the current fare outside the free days was not found. |

Direct express buses from Gochang Munhwa Terminal to Seoul Central City take about 3 h 06 m; allow about 40 minutes from the farm back to Gochang by rural bus and taxi via Mujang, and more if you wait for a bus. The other way back is a bus to Gwangju U-Square (48 minutes) and an express bus on to Seoul Central City, or stay overnight in Gochang. Bus times for spring 2027 are not out yet, so this page gives no last-bus time: check the last buses at Gochang Munhwa Terminal before the festival day. Going back by KTX from Jeongeup, check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+; KTX and former SRT trains are booked there since the 1 September 2026 merger) or at the station before you go. | Shuttle buses ran at weekends during the 2026 festival, and Wikitree notes that direct shuttles from Gochang terminal run on some festival weekends; routes and times were not published in the sources opened, so check Gochang County's tourism site before you go. Direct buses from Hampyeong to Seoul run only twice a day. Train times changed on 1 November 2026 and the spring 2027 times are not out yet, so this page gives no last-train or last-bus time: check the last train in the Korail app (코레일+ / Korail+) or at the station, and the last buses at the terminal, before the festival day. | In 2026 KTX trains made temporary stops at Hampyeong Station on 24–26 April and 1–5 May (eight days), and one shuttle bus, for KTX passengers only, linked the station with the festival's Butterfly car park: two trips to the park in the morning and two back to the station in the afternoon. KTX passengers got 10% off admission and a small souvenir. In 2024 the shuttle ran between Hampyeong Station and Expo Park and riders were given Hampyeong farm produce. Train and shuttle times were not published on the pages opened. |
| Jeonju International Film Festival | Jeonju, Jeonbuk State | KTX trains from Jeonju to Yongsan take about 1 h 40 m (fastest 1 h 26 m). Train times for the 2027 festival dates are not out yet, so this page gives no last-train time: check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+, where KTX and former SRT trains are now booked) or at Jeonju Station before you go, especially if you plan to stay for a 20:00 alley screening or an evening film, and allow for the taxi ride from Film Street to the station. | The festival said it improved its shuttle buses for 2026; routes and times were not published in the sources reviewed. |

Allow time to get from the Open Set back to the park entrance. | In 2026 shuttle buses ran between KTX Mungyeong Station and the festival, a shuttle linked the car parks with the venue, and electric carts stopped at the Open Set (routes and times were not published on the pages read). In 2025 free city buses were timed to KTX trains, with extra buses at weekends and on holidays. Mungyeong's city buses have been free for everyone, tourists included, since 1 January 2025; a 2026 travel blog lists routes 10-3, 21 and 21-2 from Mungyeong Station (about 15 minutes) and 10-3 and 21 from the Mungyeong bus stop (about 10 minutes). |

The expo closed at 18:00 in 2026; staying for the evening light show (to 21:30) needs a car or a night in Taean. | No festival shuttle from Seoul or from Taean terminal was documented for 2026. Inside the grounds a paid electric cart tour ran (a few thousand won), and Korail weekend day-trip packages combined the expo with Anmyeondo sights (blog-reported; no fare given). |
| Yeon Deung Hoe (Lotus Lantern Festival) | Seoul | The parade ends about 21:30 and the Jonggak party about 23:00, within normal subway hours; Jonggak (Line 1) and Anguk (Line 3) are a few minutes' walk from Jogyesa. Expect Jongno surface buses to be diverted while the road is closed (ten median bus-lane stops were relocated in 2026). If you are going back to Busan or another city by KTX the same night, check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+, where KTX and former SRT trains are now booked) or at Seoul Station before you go. | — |
| Boseong Green Tea Festival | Boseong, Jeollanam-do | Direct express buses from Boseong to Seoul Central City are few and leave early, so after the 19:00 close go back via Gwangju: a Mugunghwa train from Boseong Station to Gwangju Songjeong (about 1 h 20 m), then a KTX to Yongsan or Suseo (about 2 h); or an intercity bus from Boseong Bus Terminal to Gwangju U-Square (about 1 h 20 m–1 h 45 m), which has express buses to Seoul Central City late into the evening. Check the last train in the Korail app (코레일+ / Korail+) or at the station, and the last bus at the terminal, before the festival day. Weekday and Sunday times differ, so check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+) or at the station before you go and compare it with the end of the evening programme. The overnight Dokkaebi Nanjang runs to 05:00, so stay the night in Chuncheon or wait for the first morning train. Gyeongchun Line (Seoul Metro) trains also run to Seoul; their times were not checked. | No festival shuttle bus was documented for 2024–2026 in the sources opened; check mimefestival.com before the night events. |
| Damyang Bamboo Festival | Damyang, Jeollanam-do | Direct express buses run from Damyang Bus Terminal to Seoul Central City about 7 times a day (about 3 h 45 m); in recent timetables the last one left before Juknokwon's 21:00 night closing, so check it at the terminal. From Gwangju, express buses leave U-Square for Seoul Central City into the evening and KTX trains run from Gwangju Songjeong to Seoul (about 2 h); check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+) or at the station before you go. | The 2026 official transport page shows only a QR code; no shuttle details were published on the pages opened. |

| Gwangalli Eobang Festival | Busan | The evening programmes run late: the musical starts at 20:10 on Friday and Saturday, the Jindueohwa boats sail at 21:00 and the folk village closes at 22:00. Back to Seoul: the KTX from Busan Station to Seoul Station takes about 2 h 30 m, and Gwangalli to Busan Station takes Line 2 to Seomyeon and then Line 1, so a same-day return to Seoul means leaving before the night programmes; to see the boats, stay the night. Once the 2027 dates are known, check the last train in the Korail app (코레일+ / Korail+) or at the station. | — |
| Haeundae Sand Festival | Busan | Festival programmes ran until 21:00 in 2026. Hangang Bus river boats stop at Yeouido Pier and at Apgujeong Pier, which the city suggested for Jamwon and the Jamsu Bridge festival in spring 2026; in September 2026 the fare was ₩3,000 and boats ran about once an hour. | Daegu International Musical Festival | Daegu | Evening shows start at 19:30 on weekdays and 19:00 at weekends (Turandot 2026, 140 minutes with the interval), so they finish around 21:20–21:50. To get back to Seoul after an evening show, check the last KTX from Dongdaegu in the Korail app (코레일+ / Korail+) or at the station before the festival day, allowing for the metro: Line 1 runs direct from Seobu Bus Terminal to Dongdaegu (12 stops). A weekend matinee at 14:00 suits a day trip. | No festival shuttle was announced in the sources found. Venues are spread across the city, so use the metro or a taxi between them. |
| Boryeong Mud Festival | Boryeong, Chungcheongnam-do | Trains from Daecheon back to Yongsan take about 2 h 30 m–2 h 50 m, and express buses run from Boryeong Bus Terminal to Seoul. Busan Station is 18 stops away on Line 1, so after the 20:00 fireworks or the 19:00–19:30 sunset concerts, staying the night in Busan is the safe plan. | No festival shuttle was announced in the 2024–2026 notices opened; Busan city asks visitors to come by public transport. |
| Daegu Chimac Festival | Daegu | Last metro and KTX times for the 2027 festival dates were not checked. In 2026 the organizer's directions page noted that Line 1, which you need at Banwoldang for Dongdaegu, stops earlier than Line 2 at Duryu, so for Dongdaegu don't wait for the last Line 2 train. Back to Seoul, the KTX from Dongdaegu takes about 1 h 50 min; allow about 30 minutes from Duryu to Dongdaegu (Line 2 to Banwoldang, then Line 1). The programme ran to 23:00 on most nights in 2026. Check the last metro at the station and the last KTX in the Korail app (코레일+ / Korail+) before the festival day. | No festival shuttle in 2026; the organizer's directions page listed extra bus service as 'to be determined'. Trazy sold a foreigners-only round-trip package on 1 and 8 August 2026: 08:00 Hongik Univ. | Iho Tewoo Festival | Jeju City, Jeju | Jeju has no rail. Night concerts end at 22:00; arrange a taxi or check the last city bus from the beach, since the festival publishes no late transport. | — |
| Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival | Incheon | Shows end by 22:30 and the station is the line's terminus, so every train leaves northbound; the exact last departure on festival nights was not verified. Expect long platform queues after the headliner; the Bupyeong transfer to Seoul Line 1 is the pinch point. | No public shuttle was announced for 2026; the organizer relies on Incheon Line 1 and split the entrance into two routes to shorten queues. |
| Jeongnamjin Jangheung Water Festival | Jangheung, Jeollanam-do | Last departures for the 2027 festival dates were not checked. In autumn 2026 the last direct bus from Jangheung to Seoul Central City left in the afternoon, before the evening concerts; later journeys went via Gwangju (bus to U-Square, about 1 h 30 m, then an express bus to Seoul, or the KTX from Gwangju Songjeong to Suseo, about 2 h). The night concerts ran to about 22:00 in 2026, so for the evening programme plan to stay overnight. Check the last bus at Jangheung Intercity Bus Terminal and the last KTX in the Korail app (코레일+ / Korail+) before the festival day. | The county ran shuttle buses in 2026. A visitor's post describes a free loop between Jeonnam Jangheung Station, the Pyeonbaek Forest Woodland, the public stadium and Papillon Zip, plus paid express shuttles to Gwangju, Mokpo, Suncheon and Busan (fares and times not published on the pages opened). |

The 2026 One Summer Night concerts started at 19:30 and were listed at about 240 minutes, so concert-goers should plan a night in Jecheon. | — |
| Muju Firefly Festival | Muju, Jeonbuk State | Only four buses a day run between Seoul Nambu Terminal and Muju and the firefly tour ends at 21:00, so a same-night return to Seoul by public transport is not realistic; stay in Muju-eup or book the round-trip Kakao T shuttle. Buses between Daejeon and Muju run until 21:00 in the Daejeon→Muju direction. | 2026: Kakao T app-only festival shuttle on 4, 5, 6, 11 and 12 September from 21 stops nationwide (Seoul Gangnam, Sadang, Seoul Station, Jamsil, Hapjeong; Seongnam Migeum, Suwon Yeongtong, Incheon Bupyeong; Daejeon Bokhap Terminal and City Hall; Daegu Banwoldang and Yongsan; Busan Dongnae and Seomyeon; Gwangju Sangmu Station and the bus terminal; Suncheon, Yeosu, Iksan, Gunsan, Jeonju World Cup Stadium) to Jinam Park P2 car park, round trip or one way. In autumn 2026 the last regular buses to Seoul left Tongyeong in the early evening, before it ended, and only a night bus to Nambu (arriving in the small hours, ₩49,200) ran later. Buses to Busan Seobu (Sasang) ran until late evening in autumn 2026 (₩18,100 for the last). | No 2026 festival shuttle or temporary car-park plan was found on the pages opened; a travel guide notes that temporary car parks and shuttles have run in some years. |

Daytime programmes end at 18:00. The Friday and Saturday concerts ran to 21:00 and 21:30 in 2026, so for a concert night consider staying overnight. | 2026: a third-party guide reported a free circulating shuttle between the Yeongdong Station plaza and the festival plaza (frequency not published). News reports confirm more circulating shuttles and expanded parking after the 2025 edition, and a visitor reported extra circulating buses between the car parks and the venue and a free shuttle taxi for visitors from outside the county. The same guide describes a free delivery and pick-up zone for fruit bought on site. In 2024 seven electric circulating buses ran. |
| Andong Maskdance Festival | Andong, Gyeongsangbuk-do | Last trains from Andong Station to Cheongnyangni and Seoul Station, and last express buses from Andong Bus Terminal (next to the station) to Dong Seoul and Seoul Express Bus Terminal, for the 2027 festival dates were not checked; check the last train in the Korail app (코레일+ / Korail+) and the last bus at the terminal before the festival day. In October 2026 the last express buses to Seoul left later than the last trains. The night program runs to 22:00, so a same-day return means leaving the grounds well before the end. | 2026: free shuttles linked the grounds, Andong Bus Terminal/Andong Station and Hahoe Village ticket office. Grounds→Hahoe on the hour from 10:00 (last 17:00 weekdays, 20:00 weekends/holidays, no departures 12:00–12:59 and 18:00–18:59); Hahoe→Andong Station→grounds with Hahoe departures on the hour and station departures at :30 (last about 17:30 weekdays, 21:30 holidays). Gongju 2026 shuttle details were not published in text form. |
| Busan International Film Festival | Busan | The closing ceremony starts at 19:00 and evening screenings finish late, so most visitors stay the night. Back to Seoul, the KTX from Busan Station takes about 2 h 30 m; last-train times for the 2027 festival dates were not checked, so check the last KTX in the Korail app (코레일+ / Korail+) or at Busan Station before the festival day. Allow up to an hour from Centum City to Busan Station (Line 2 to Seomyeon, then Line 1). | — |
| Cheonan World Dance Festival | Cheonan, Chungcheongnam-do | Cheonan has frequent evening trains to Seoul (about 26 ITX/Mugunghwa a day plus Line 1 subway); the exact last departures on festival nights were not verified, and the stadium's closing programme ends around 22:00. | 2026: the Cheonan Foundation ran circular shuttle buses between Cheonan Stadium and Samgeori Park; a blog reported 15 shuttles at 15-minute intervals from temporary car parks (including Cheonan Museum) to Samgeori Park. First/last times were not published. |
| Chilgok Transmedia Festival | Chilgok, Gyeongsangbuk-do | The exhibition closes at 18:00. Direct trains from Waegwan back to Seoul Station run into the evening, but the last-train times for 24–25 October 2026 were not checked against Korail's timetable: check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+, where KTX and former SRT trains are now booked) or at Waegwan Station before you go, and book the return in advance. For a later return, take the Daegyeong Line to Dongdaegu and the KTX from there; check both last trains the same way. Direct trains to Busan also run into the evening. | None: the 11 spaces are on a walking route through Waegwan's old town. The Daegyeong Line commuter railway, open since 14 December 2024, links Waegwan with Gumi, Seodaegu, Daegu and Dongdaegu. |
| EX Pumpkin Night | Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do | EX Pumpkin Night closes at 22:00 (last entry 21:00), and Gyeongju Station is about 30 minutes away by taxi. The last KTX trains from Gyeongju to Seoul on the remaining festival evenings (22–24 October) were not checked for this record, so a same-day return is tight at best: arrive at the 18:00 opening, check the last train for your date in the Korail+ app (코레일+, where KTX and former SRT trains are now booked) or at the station and book the return in advance, or stay the night in Bomun. | No event shuttle was found in the 2026 announcements. |
| Geumsan World K-Insam Festival | Geumsan, Chungcheongnam-do | Buses between Geumsan and Daejeon Bokhap Terminal run until about 21:30 (52 min), and Seoul–Daejeon KTX trains are frequent into the evening; the festival closes at 21:00, so leave the square by 20:00 for a same-night return to Seoul. | 2026: round-trip festival shuttle between Daejeon Station and the square during the festival (timetable and fare not published), plus weekend/holiday shuttles between the square and temporary lots at the Geumsan History Museum and the sports complex. |
| Gyeongbokgung Starlight Tour | Seoul | The later session ends at 21:20, well before the last subway trains, and Gyeongbokgung Station is a few minutes' walk from the palace. | — |
| Hyoseok Culture Festival | Pyeongchang, Gangwon State | KTX-Eum trains from Pyeongchang back to Seoul Station take 1 h 31 min–1 h 45 min, and buses from Jangpyeong to Dong Seoul about 2 hours; buses from Jangpyeong to Seoul Nambu are few. The festival's daytime programme ends around 17:00, so a day trip is easy. Korail adjusted the Gangneung Line's last trains in October 2026, so check the last train in the Korail app (코레일+) or at the station, and the last bus at Jangpyeong, before the festival day. Shuttle times back to the station were not published. | A free shuttle bus ran from Pyeongchang Station to the festival grounds in 2026 (KTO); in 2024 it also linked the village with Phoenix Park, about 7 km (8 minutes by car) away. No timetable was published in the sources we could open. A travel blog also mentions shuttles from temporary car parks near the festival. |
| Icheon Pet Festival | Icheon, Gyeonggi-do | The festival closes at 17:00. Gyeonggang Line trains toward Pangyo run until late evening; check the last one from Sindundoyechon in the Korail+ app (코레일+) or at the station before you go. Evening times of buses 24 and 24-1 to the station were not verified; a taxi is the fallback. | No festival shuttle was announced in the 2026 sources checked. |
| Jeongseon Arirang Festival | Jeongseon, Gangwon State | Buses back from Jeongseon to Dong Seoul take about 2 h 45 m and are infrequent, so check the last bus at Jeongseon Bus Terminal (or on the intercity bus booking site) before the festival day, and book the return early on festival weekends. The festival runs until 22:00 and opening night's drones and fireworks follow a 19:00 ceremony, so evening programmes are likely to need a night in Jeongseon. The Jeongseon Line train is not a practical way back to Seoul. | In 2026 shuttle buses ran 12:00–22:00 during the festival, departing on the hour and half hour on a loop of about 30 minutes via the Jeongseon Sports Complex, Jeongseon Station square and the Public Stadium (official site map, as summarised by a travel blog). Fares, if any, were not published. |
| Namhansanseong Autumn Festa | Gwangju (Gyeonggi-do), Gyeonggi-do | Programmes run in the daytime (10:00–16:00 in 2024 and 2025) and the Haenggung closes at 18:00, long before the last Line 8 trains. Last bus times from the fortress down to Sanseong Station were not found; a taxi takes about 11 minutes. | No festival shuttle was announced in the sources opened. City buses 9, 9-1 and 52 run from Sanseong Station to the Namhansanseong Provincial Park terminus. |
| Seogwipo Chilsimni Festival | Seogwipo, Jeju | Jeju has no trains. KTO lists festival hours to 22:00. The current limousine 600 timetable, including the last bus from the airport and the last bus back from Seogwipo, was not confirmed for the festival dates: check at the airport limousine stop or the bus information desk before you go. With 1 h 30 min or more on the bus each way, stay the night in Seogwipo rather than flying back to Seoul the same evening. | No festival shuttle had been announced on the pages opened as of 18 October 2026. |
| Seosan Haemieupseong Festival | Seosan, Chungcheongnam-do | Haemi has no railway. Buses from the Haemi stop back to Seoul Nambu take about 1 h 50 m, and only a few run in the evening. The festival ran until 22:00 in 2026, and the drone show, media façade and EDM party are after dark, so seeing them and getting back to Seoul the same evening is likely to need a car; otherwise stay in Seosan. Check the last bus at the terminal (or on the intercity bus booking site) before the festival day. | In 2025, 19 shuttle buses ran every 20 minutes during the festival, linking the Hanseo University car park and 10 nearby lots with the fortress. No 2026 shuttle timetable was found as of 19 October 2026. |
| Seoul International Fireworks Festival | Seoul | No later last trains were announced in 2026; Line 5 ran 18 extra trains and Line 9 65 on festival day. The city asks people to wait ten minutes before leaving ('10 minutes slower') to spread the crowd at Yeouido, Mapo and Saetgang stations. | — |
| Seoul Music Festival | Seoul | The concert ends at 21:00, long before the last Line 9, Line 1 and Line 4 trains; expect a queue at Nodeul Station when the crowd leaves together. | — |
| Suwon Hwaseong Cultural Festival | Suwon, Gyeonggi-do | The night shows end at 21:00–22:00; take bus 11/13/60/7-2 back to Suwon Station for Line 1 toward Seoul (last-train times not published on the festival site; check a transit app). | 2026: Seoul–festival round-trip shuttle twice daily, 4–11 Oct, from Myeongdong/Dongdaemun and Hongdae, and 7–11 Oct from Gwanghwamun; tickets via Trip.com. |
| Ulsan Whale Festival | Ulsan | In autumn 2026 the last KTX-Eum from Taehwagang to Cheongnyangni left in the late afternoon or early evening, while KTX trains from Ulsan Station to Seoul Station ran until later in the evening, so for an evening visit Ulsan Station is the better bet. Ulsan Station is on the city's outskirts, so leave Jangsaengpo well ahead; staying the night in Ulsan is easier. Check the last train in the Korail app (코레일+) or at the station before the festival day. | 2026: free shuttle buses every 30 minutes between Taehwagang Station and the festival on all four days. 2024: free shuttles on four routes, from KTX Ulsan Station, Okdong public car park, Munsu Sports Park and Nam-gu Office, plus an on-site loop. 2023: four free routes, including a direct route to Taehwagang Station, and a circular bus. |
| Anseong Namsadang Baudeogi Festival | Anseong, Gyeonggi-do | No trains: Anseong has no railway. On the weekday timetable the last express bus from Anseong Terminal to Seoul Express Bus Terminal leaves at 22:50 (37 a day, scheduled at 1 h 25 min). The grounds close at 21:00 and the festival shuttles run until about 22:00, so a same-day return is easy if you leave before the evening crowds; weekend and holiday bus times were not checked separately. | 2026: six shuttle routes to the festival's east gate, running about 09:20–22:00: Hankyong National University (09:30–22:00, 144 trips), Anseong Sports Complex (09:40–22:00, 154), an inner-city loop (10:00–22:00, 140), Gongdo-eup Administrative Welfare Centre (09:20–22:00, 96), Anseong Machum Art Hall (09:30–22:00, 24) and Bogae-myeon Administrative Welfare Centre (09:40–22:00, 24), as summarised from the city's festival portal. In 2025 the shuttles were free and ran 09:00–22:00 with 40–140 trips per route; whether they were free in 2026 was not stated. |
| Busan Folk Arts Festival | Busan | The festival closes at 17:00, so a same-day return to Seoul is easy: KTX trains from Busan Station to Seoul Station (about 2 h 30 m) run into the late evening. Check the last train for your date in the Korail+ app (코레일+) or at the station before you go. Busan Station is seven stops south of Bujeon on Line 1. | No festival shuttle was announced. City buses 63 and 179 run from near Yangjeong Station Exit 5 (Line 1) to the Busan Citizens Park stop. |
| Busan International Rock Festival | Busan | In 2026 the last shuttle left the park at 23:00; 2027 shuttle times are not yet published. Sasang is on Line 2 and the Busan–Gimhae Light Rail, so most of Busan is reachable after the final set (Busan Metro last-train times were not checked). Back to Seoul: the KTX from Busan Station takes about 2 h 30 m, and Busan Station is about 35–40 minutes from Sasang by metro (change at Seomyeon), so a same-night return means leaving the park well before the last sets. Gupo Station is closer, but in autumn 2026 its last KTX to Seoul left in the early evening. Check the last train in the Korail app (코레일+) or at the station before the festival day. | 2026: free Sasang Station circular shuttle between Sasang Station (Line 2) Exit 3 and the underpass at Samnak Ecological Park, every 5–10 minutes, first departure from Sasang 09:30, last departure from the park 23:00, first-come first-served with extra buses added when queues build; bookable shuttle routes were also offered through Kakao T and k.ride pages on the official site. |
| Busan Jagalchi Festival | Busan | The 2026 programme ran to 22:00 (KTO). Busan Station is three stops from Jagalchi on Line 1, and the KTX to Seoul Station takes about 2 h 30 m. Check the last train back to Seoul in the Korail app (코레일+) or at the station before the festival day, and leave the market with time to spare. | No festival shuttle was announced on the pages opened. In 2015 a festival boat ran to Taejongdae; no boat service was found for 2026. |
| Chungjang Festival of Memories | Gwangju | Programmes run until 22:00 (KTO). The KTX from Gwangju Songjeong to Yongsan or Suseo takes about 2 hours, express buses run from Gwangju U-Square to Seoul Central City, and a taxi from the Asia Culture Center area to Gwangju Songjeong takes about 15–20 minutes. Last-train and last-bus times for the 2027 dates are not given here because timetables change (Korail's changed on 1 November 2026): check the last train in the Korail app (코레일+ / Korail+) or at the station, and the last bus at U-Square, before the festival day. | No festival shuttle bus was mentioned in the sources opened. |
| Dream Park Chrysanthemum Festival | Incheon | Last entry is 17:00 and the grounds close at 18:00, so there is time to spare. The last bus 43 back to Geomam and the last AREX train from Geomam towards Seoul on the festival dates were not verified; check them in Kakao Map or at Geomam Station before you go. | No festival shuttle bus was published for 2024, 2025 or 2026 on the pages opened; the organizer's and city's notices give no public-transport directions. |
| Gangneung Coffee Festival | Gangneung, Gangwon State | The last KTX-Eum from Gangneung to Seoul Station and Cheongnyangni on the festival dates was not checked against Korail's own timetable: check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+) or at Gangneung Station before you go, and book the return ahead. Listed hours end at 20:00; the single fireworks show is on Saturday 24 October at 20:00, and other evening beach program times were not published by 19 October. The free shuttle stops at 20:00, so after the fireworks or the evening program allow time for a taxi back to the station. | Free loop shuttle, five buses every 15 minutes, 10:00–20:00 daily on 21–25 Oct 2026. It starts at Gangneung Station and runs via Gangneung Sports Complex, Gangneung Convention Center and the Gangneung Green City Experience Center (E-zen) to the Coffee Street venue, linking 13 parking lots and city hubs (Gangneung City notice, 13 Oct 2026; Financial News, 14 Oct 2026). |
| Gimcheon Gimbap Festival | Gimcheon, Gyeongsangbuk-do | The festival closes at 18:00, and the festival shuttles run until 19:00 with a break 16:00–17:00 (Gimcheon City's 2026 plan). KTX trains run from Gimcheon(Gumi) Station to Seoul Station and Suseo into the evening, and ITX-Saemaeul, ITX-Maeum and Mugunghwa trains from Gimcheon Station to Seoul Station, but the last-train times for 24–25 October 2026 were not checked against Korail's timetable: check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+, where KTX and former SRT trains are now booked) or at the station before you go, and book the return in advance. Leave plenty of time for the shuttle queue and the drive to the station. | 2026 (Gimcheon City's plan, as reported on 5 and 23 October 2026): about 60 shuttle buses run non-stop to Jikji No. 2 public car park at the venue from Gimcheon Sports Town car park (40 buses), Gimcheon(Gumi) Station (KTX, 14) and Gimcheon Station (6), about every 20 minutes depending on traffic: from 10:00 on Friday 23 October and from 08:00 on 24–25 October, until 19:00, with breaks 12:00–13:00 and 16:00–17:00. The fare was not stated (in 2025 the station shuttles were free). Sopung Taxi, a tourist taxi booked in its app or by phone, links the same points with the venue: ₩8,000 one way from either station, ₩5,000 from Sports Town, up to 4 riders. Kakao T Shuttle coaches run direct from Seoul (Seoul Station, Jamsil, Sadang), Daejeon, Daegu, Gwangju and Busan: book in the Kakao T app (Shuttle menu). In 2025 visitors waited 1–2 hours for shuttles. |
| Gimje Horizon Festival | Gimje, Jeonbuk State | Last shuttles left Byeokgolje around 22:00 (22:05 on some routes 3–5 Oct). KTX back to Seoul from Gimje is limited to one or two trains a day, so for an evening departure go to Iksan Station, which has frequent late KTX services. | 2026: free shuttles on five routes to Byeokgolje from Gimje City Hall, the Civic Sports Ground, the intercity bus terminal, Gimje Station and Gusan Intersection, all via Jungang Hospital; 14 buses on weekdays and 20 at weekends, every 15–30 minutes, with 12 low-floor trips a day on the terminal and Gusan routes. A village loop bus ran on holidays from Habang Samgeori to the Byeokgolje Gujeong Gate. Civic Sports Ground route suspended 08:00–13:00 on 3 Oct for the marathon. |
| Gochang Moyangseong Festival | Gochang, Jeonbuk State | The festival ran until 22:00 in 2026. Direct buses from Gochang Munhwa Terminal to Seoul Central City take about 3 h 20 m, and in autumn 2026 the last one left in the early evening, well before the end of the programme. To stay for the night dapseong, the alternatives are a bus to Gwangju U-Square (48 minutes) and an express bus on to Seoul Central City, or an overnight stay in Gochang. Check the last buses at the terminal (or on the bus booking sites) before the festival day. Gochang–Jeongeup return times were not checked. | No festival shuttle bus was documented in the sources opened. |

To stay for the evening Jjamppong Restaurant, book a room in Gunsan. | No festival shuttle was found for 2024–2026. A city bus stop named after the Gunsan Modern History Museum (근대역사박물관) is about a minute's walk from the museum in the old port district. |
| Gwangju World Kimchi Festival | Gwangju | The festival closes at 20:00, and the Kimchi Party on 23 and 24 October also ends at 20:00. KTX trains run from Gwangju Songjeong to Yongsan and Suseo into the late evening, and express buses from Gwangju U-Square to Seoul Central City run late too, but the last-train and last-bus times for 23–25 October 2026 were not checked against Korail or the bus operators: check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+, where KTX and former SRT trains are now booked) or at the station, and the last bus at the terminal, before you go. Allow time for Line 1 or a taxi back to Gwangju Songjeong. | No festival shuttle bus was mentioned in the sources opened. |

For the Hangang Forest Adventure at Gangseo Hangang Park, a free shuttle bus runs on Sat 24 and Sun 25 Oct, 12:00–18:00 every 20 minutes, between Banghwa Station (Line 5; stop in front of the Paris Baguette near Exit 2) and the park; seated passengers only, so if a bus is full wait for the next one (festival notice of 21 Oct). Hangang Bus river boats stop at Apgujeong Pier (for Jamwon) and Ttukseom Pier (for The Road Chef); in September 2026 the fare was ₩3,000 and boats ran about once an hour. Timetables are at hgbus.co.kr. |
| Hwangmaesan Silver Grass Festival | Hapcheon, Gyeongsangnam-do | There is no train. Only two direct buses a day leave Hapcheon for Seoul Nambu (about 4 h 14 m), the last in the late afternoon; buses to Busan Sasang (about 2 hours), Daegu Seobu (46 minutes) and Jinju (42 minutes) run on into the evening. The timetable valid on the festival dates was not checked with the operator, so check the last bus at Hapcheon terminal before you go. The taxi down from the mountain to Hapcheon town comes first: if you need the Seoul bus, leave the park by mid-afternoon; on weekends the stage programme ends at 15:00. | In 2024 and 2025 a shuttle ran on weekends and holidays between the lower Deokman car park and the Ginkgo (Eunhaengnamu) car park for a small fare, and taxis covered the same stretch; whether it runs in 2026, on which days and at what fare, was not published. The Ginkgo lot is about a 10-minute walk from the silver grass. The free weekday Nanum Cart tour is for eligible visitors only; in 2024 it left from the summit car park. |

KTX trains from Gwangju Songjeong to Yongsan and Suseo take about 2 hours, but the last departures on the festival dates were not checked with Korail: check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+, where KTX and former SRT trains are booked) or at the station before you go, and the last express bus to Seoul Central City at Gwangju U-Square. | Hwasun County says it runs a loop bus during the 2026 festival, besides more than 2,000 parking spaces, but routes and times were not published on the pages opened. Arrangements from earlier editions do not apply to this one: in 2024 tourist shuttles ran from Hwasun town and a free loop bus linked the Chunyang and Dogok sides, and in 2023 free shuttles ran from Sotae Station in Gwangju. |

A third weekend-only route serves Songjeong-dong apartment stops. An electric cart links the farther car parks to the gate. |

A same-day flight back to Seoul is possible, but Jeju–Gimpo times for Sunday 25 October, when a new flight schedule begins, were not checked; arrange a taxi back to the airport or Jeju City in advance. | No festival shuttle had been announced for 2026 by 18 October; KTO's listing mentions none. |
| Jeonju Bibimbap Festival | Jeonju, Jeonbuk State | Trains from Jeonju to Yongsan take about 1 h 40 m by KTX and about 3 h 30 m by ITX-Maeum. | Jeonju International Sori Festival | Jeonju, Jeonbuk State | Trains from Jeonju to Yongsan take about 1 h 40 m by KTX and about 3 h 30 m by ITX-Maeum. Last-train times are not given here because Korail's timetable changes (a new one took effect on 1 November 2026). Evening shows can end late, so check the last train in the Korail app (코레일+ / Korail+) or at Jeonju Station before the festival day. | — |
| Jeonju Makgeolli Festival | Jeonju, Jeonbuk State | The festival runs until 22:00. The KTX between Jeonju and Yongsan takes about 1 h 40 m, but last-train times for 23–24 October were not confirmed from Korail's timetable for those dates, so check the last train back in the Korail+ app (코레일+) or at Jeonju Station before you go, and allow for the taxi from the campus to the station. Staying to the close may mean a night in Jeonju. | No festival shuttle was announced for 2026 in the KTO listing or the news reports reviewed. |
| Jinju Namgang Yudeung Festival | Jinju, Gyeongsangnam-do | In 2026 the last KTX from Jinju to Seoul left before the evening fireworks. Jinju Station is outside the centre, so plan to stay overnight, or take an intercity bus to Busan Sasang. Timetables change (Korail's changed on 1 November 2026): check the last train in the Korail app (코레일+ / Korail+) and the last bus at Jinju Intercity Bus Terminal before the festival day. | 2026: seven free shuttle routes on 3–5, 9–11 and 16–18 October, 16:00–23:00, from outlying lots — Jinju IC (Wings Tower/Hyeoksin City), Munsan IC (broadcast site/Jinju Stadium), Uiryeong-Hapcheon direction (wholesale market/Chojeon Park), Jinju Station (route 4), Seo-Jinju IC toward Sancheong (public stadium), Seo-Jinju IC toward Hadong (Pangmun stream park/Pyeonggeo-dong) and Sacheon IC (Jeongchon-myeon lot). |
| Jirisan Walking Festival | Sancheong, Gyeongsangnam-do | The festival closes at 17:00. From Sancheong, buses run to Seoul Nambu 5 times a day (about 3 h 36 m, ₩30,800) and to Jinju about 31 times a day (about 43 minutes), and KTX trains run from Jinju to Seoul about 9–11 times a day; Jinju Station is outside the town centre, so allow time for a taxi. Direct buses to Busan Sasang are few and the last may leave before the festival ends, so going via Jinju is safer. The last bus and train times for 24 October 2026 have not been confirmed from the operators' timetables: check the last bus at Sancheong Bus Terminal and the last KTX in the Korail+ app (코레일+) before you set off. | — |
| K-Wave Dance Festival | Seoul | The 2026 programme ended at 21:00, well before the last Line 6 trains. | — |
| MAMF (Migrants' Arirang Multicultural Festival) | Changwon (Seongsan-gu), Gyeongsangnam-do | The festival closes at 20:30, and the last KTX trains from Changwon Jungang Station to Seoul Station and Suseo leave in the evening (the last to Suseo much earlier than the last to Seoul Station). The times for 23–25 October 2026 have not been confirmed from Korail's timetable for those days, so check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+) or at the station before you go, leave well before the end, or stay overnight in Changwon or Busan. The last bus from Changwon Central Bus Terminal to Busan was not checked. | No festival shuttle was found in the sources checked. City buses run along Jungang-daero past the Gyeongnam Provincial Office and the Office of Education, for example express buses 3000 and 3004 and seated buses 730 and 740 (per the Office of Education's directions page); expect detours while the road is closed for the parade. |
| Mungyeong Yakdol Hanu Festival | Mungyeong, Gyeongsangbuk-do | The festival closed at 17:00 in 2025. Only about four KTX-Eum trains a day link Mungyeong Station with Pangyo, and train and bus times change (Korail's timetable changed on 1 November 2026): check the last train in the Korail app (코레일+ / Korail+) and the last bus from the Mungyeong bus stop to Dong Seoul at the terminal before the festival day. Allow time for the bus or taxi from Saejae to the station or bus stop. | No festival shuttle was documented. Mungyeong's city buses have been free for everyone, tourists included, since 1 January 2025, and the city says it is adding buses timed to KTX trains at Mungyeong Station and a tourist loop linking the station with Saejae; a travel blog names the Express 1 route (… Maseong → Mungyeong Station → Mungyeong Saejae). In 2025, festival-goers who came by KTX received a raffle ticket, a local-products coupon and a souvenir. |

The KTX from Osong to Seoul Station takes about 50 minutes, but allow about 45 minutes by BRT and on foot from the park to Osong. Express buses from Sejong Express Bus Terminal to Seoul Express Bus Terminal take 2 h 29 m. Timetables change (Korail's changed on 1 November 2026): check the last train in the Korail app (코레일+ / Korail+) or at the station, and the last bus at the terminal, before the festival day. | No festival shuttle bus was documented in the sources we could open. The festival website (sjfestival.kr) posts a public-transport guide and a parking map for each edition. |
| Seoul Design Week | Seoul | The exhibitions close at 20:00 (18:00 on 25 October), long before the last subway trains. | — |
| Seoul Silver Grass Festival | Seoul | The festival closes at 21:00, well before the last Line 6 trains; allow 30–40 minutes to walk back down to World Cup Stadium Station. | The Maengkkongi electric shuttle runs from the Nanjicheon Park car park to the top of Haneul Park in about 5 minutes. Fares listed by KTO and the city's 2023 page: adults ₩2,000 one way or ₩3,000 return, children 4–12 ₩1,500 or ₩2,200. There is no ticket booth at the top, so buy a return at the bottom; weekend queues are long. Festival-week hours for 2026 were not published. |
| Silla Culture Festival | Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do | The festival runs until midnight, and the Woljeonggyo show ends at about 19:40. The KTX from Gyeongju Station to Seoul Station takes about 2 h 15 m; allow about 20 minutes by taxi from the centre, more with festival road closures, and staying the night is easier. Train times change (Korail's timetable changed on 1 November 2026), so check the last train in the Korail app (코레일+ / Korail+) or at the station before the festival day. | No festival shuttle was reported for 2026. |
| Suncheon Naganeupseong Folk Culture Festival | Suncheon, Jeollanam-do | The festival programme ends at 17:00 and the village closes at 18:00 in October. KTX trains from Suncheon to Yongsan run into the late evening, so a same-day return to Seoul is realistic; Suncheon–Suseo trains are only a few a day, so plan on Yongsan. The times for 24–25 October 2026 have not been confirmed from Korail's timetable for those days: check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+, where KTX and former SRT trains are now booked) or at Suncheon Station before you go. Bus times from Naganeupseong back to Suncheon were not verified; a taxi takes about 25 minutes. | — |
| Tamna Culture Festival | Jeju City, Jeju | No trains. After the 20:00 performance a taxi is the practical way back to the airport area or downtown; taxi and lodging demand will be high during the National Sports Festival (16–22 Oct), so book accommodation early. | No festival shuttle had been announced by 16 October 2026; the plaza is near Jeju Stadium, a National Sports Festival competition venue. |
| UN Peace Festival | Busan | The festival closes at 21:00 (KTO). The last KTX trains from Busan Station to Seoul Station leave in the late evening, and from Daeyeon, Busan Station is reached on Line 2 to Seomyeon and then Line 1 (ride time not checked), so staying to the close and catching the last KTX is tight. The last-train times for 24–25 October 2026 were not checked against Korail's timetable: check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+, where KTX and former SRT trains are now booked) or at the station, leave earlier if you must be back in Seoul the same night, and book the return in advance. | No festival shuttle was announced for 2026. |
| Wonju Mandu Festival | Wonju, Gangwon State | The festival closes at 21:00. Train and bus times back to Seoul were not verified for this record: check the last KTX-Eum from Wonju Station in the Korail app (코레일톡) or at the station before you go, and allow time for the shuttle or a taxi from the old downtown to the station (2026 shuttle times are published only as an image on the official site). | Three shuttle routes in 2026 link Wonju City Hall, Wonju Station and the Dancing performance hall (댄싱공연장) with the festival grounds; stops and times are published only as an image on the official site (셔틀버스안내 page). The 2025 shuttles were free; whether the 2026 shuttles are free, and when the last one runs, was not stated in text, so check the official site before relying on a late shuttle. |
| World Heritage Joseon Royal Tombs Festival | Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do | In October Yungneung and Geolleung close at 18:00 (last entry 17:00), long before the last Line 1 trains to Seoul. The musical runs in the evening; the last bus from the tombs to Byeongjeom or Suwon Station was not published, so check a transit app or plan on a taxi. | No festival shuttle between stations and tombs, or between tombs, was announced in the sources opened. |
| Yangyang Pine Mushroom and Salmon Festival | Yangyang, Gangwon State | No trains serve Yangyang. Buses from Yangyang to Seoul Express Bus Terminal are scheduled at 3 h 03 m in this direction, and late-night departures have cost more (₩26,000); buses also run to Dong Seoul. The 2026 festival ran until 21:00, so staying for the evening concerts depends on a late-night bus to Seoul Express (check that one runs) or a night in Yangyang. Bus times change, so check the last buses at Yangyang bus terminal before the festival day. | A free shuttle bus ran at the 2023 festival. No shuttle plan for 2026 was published on the pages opened, including any link between the riverside and the treasure-hunt forest. |
| Yeoju Ogok Naru Festival | Yeoju, Gyeonggi-do | The festival closes at 21:00 (Friday to Sunday). Gyeonggang Line trains toward Pangyo run until late in the evening, after the festival closes, but the last departure from Yeoju on 23–25 October was not confirmed, and some trains start at Bubal instead of Yeoju: check the last train in the Korail app (코레일톡) or at Yeoju Station before you go. The weak link is the 25-minute ride from Silleuksa back to Yeoju Station, where regular buses are scarce at night: use the festival shuttle if one runs, or a taxi. | In 2024 shuttles ran between Yeoju Station and the festival site; in 2025 shuttle and tourist circulation buses linked Yeoju Station, the site and the downtown shopping area, with wheelchair-lift buses. No 2026 shuttle timetable was found in the sources checked as of 22 October 2026. |
| Yeoncheon Chrysanthemum Festival | Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do | The grounds close at 18:00. In the December 2023 weekend timetable, Yeoncheon-bound trains left City Hall about once an hour, with none in the 13:00, 17:00 or 18:00 hours, and the last at 22:36; return times from Jeongok were not found and timetables may have changed since, so check the next southbound train in the Korail app before leaving. Soyosan-bound trains ran about every 30 minutes, and local buses link Jeongok with Soyosan and Dongducheon stations if no through train is due. | No festival shuttle bus was found for 2026. The free shuttles from Jeongok Station seen at the county's Paleolithic Festival in May were not announced for the chrysanthemum festival. |
| Yeoncheon Job's Tears Festival | Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do | The market closes at 17:00 (the chrysanthemum displays at 18:00). Return times from Jeongok on 23–25 October were not confirmed, and Yeoncheon-bound Line 1 trains have run only about once an hour off-peak, so check the next southbound train in the Korail app (코레일톡) or at Jeongok Station before you leave the site. Soyosan-bound trains ran about every 30 minutes, and local buses link Jeongok with Soyosan and Dongducheon stations if no through train is due. | No festival shuttle bus was found for 2026. The promotion committee said in July 2026 that it was reviewing traffic, parking and safety; no plan was published on the pages opened. |
| Yeongdeungpo Seonyudo Garden Festival | Seoul | The festival closes at 20:00 (2026 KTO listing), well before the last Line 9 and Line 2 trains; Seonyudo Station is about 10 minutes' walk from the park. | No festival shuttle was announced. |
| Yeongju Punggi Ginseng Festival | Yeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do | The grounds stay open until 20:00 (2026), and only a few trains a day run from Punggi to Cheongnyangni (KTX-Eum about 1 h 30 m–1 h 40 m, ITX-Maeum about 2 hours); intercity buses also run from the Punggi IC stop to Dong Seoul (2 h 07 m). Train times change (Korail's timetable changed on 1 November 2026), so check the last train in the Korail app (코레일+ / Korail+) and the last bus at the terminal before the festival day. A rail day trip means leaving the riverside before the last train rather than at closing. | 2026: shuttle buses linked Yeongju Station, Yeongju Integrated Bus Terminal, Punggi Station and the festival grounds, and a circular bus ran between the grounds and Punggi's ginseng markets. Routes, times and any fare were not published on the pages opened. |
| Yesan Market Samguk Festival | Yesan, Chungcheongnam-do | In the national timetable data for 22–28 October 2026, the same on every festival day, the last trains from Yesan to Yongsan are the 19:50 ITX-Maeum (arrives 21:36), 20:02 Mugunghwa (arrives 22:01), 21:00 Saemaeul (arrives 22:48) and 22:02 Mugunghwa (arrives 23:55). The festival closes at 20:00, so the late trains work; check the Korail app (코레일톡) on the day. Buses from Yesan Terminal to Seoul run into the evening, but their times for the festival days could not be confirmed: check the last bus at the terminal before you go. | No festival shuttle information was found for 2026. |
| Jindo Miracle Sea Road Festival | Jindo, Jeollanam-do | Not a day trip from Seoul: the direct express bus takes about 4 h 40 m each way (4 a day) and the evening sea-road window ends around dusk, so plan to stay on Jindo or in Mokpo. Check the last bus at Jindo Public Bus Terminal, and for the Mokpo route check the last train in the Korail+ app (코레일+, where KTX and former SRT trains are booked since the 1 Sep 2026 merger) or at the station, before you go. | A shuttle-bus section existed in the 2026 visitor guide but its routes were published only as images; not verified. |
| Daejeon Science Festival | Daejeon | The festival closes at 18:00. KTX trains from Daejeon to Seoul Station take about an hour and run every 5–30 minutes, and blue bus 707 back to Daejeon Station runs every 20–24 minutes, so an evening return is easy. Train times changed on 1 November 2026 and the 2027 dates are not set, so this page gives no last-train time: check the last train in the Korail app (코레일+ / Korail+) or at the station before the festival day. | — |
| Seoul Petlympic | Seoul | The festival closes at 17:00, well before the last Line 6 trains. | No festival shuttle was announced. Before the festival the city ran special Seoul City Tour Bus trips for dogs and owners from 29 September to 22 October 2026, with schedules and booking on the official site. |
| Seomjingang International Experimental Art Festival | Gokseong, Jeollanam-do | Guryegu has about six trains a day back to Seoul Station (late October 2026, from a third-party copy of the timetable), and the last of them leaves in the early evening: before the 23 October opening ended at 21:00, so that night needed a stay in Gurye, Gokseong or Suncheon. Later Yongsan-bound KTX trains run north from Suncheon, but whether they stop at Guryegu or Gokseong was not checked. For the archive exhibition (to 30 October, 11:00–20:00), plan to leave in the afternoon, and check the last train for your date in the Korail+ app (코레일+, where KTX and former SRT trains are booked) or at the station before you go. | No festival shuttle had been announced on the pages opened. |
| Ulsan Jung-gu Heritage Night | Ulsan | Last-train times for 23–25 October 2026 could not be confirmed from a Korail timetable, so none are given here: check the last KTX from Ulsan Station to Seoul in the Korail app (코레일톡) or at the station before you go. Ulsan Station is far from the old town, the transfer time was not verified and the programme runs until 22:00, so staying the night in Ulsan is the easier plan. | — |
| Geoje Island Flower Festival | Geoje, Gyeongsangnam-do | Geoje has no railway. Buses from Gohyeon run back to Seoul Nambu (about 4 h 30 m), Dong Seoul (about 4 h 45 m) and Busan Sasang (about 1 h 15 m); in autumn 2026 there were also late-night buses to Seoul Nambu. If you are connecting to a KTX at Busan Station, allow time for the bus and the metro across Busan. The 2025 grounds closed at 20:00, so after the night lights the realistic options are a night bus to Seoul, if one runs, or an overnight stay. Check the last bus at Gohyeon Bus Terminal and the last train in the Korail app (코레일+) before the festival day. | 2025: festival shuttle buses ran between Gohyeon Bus Terminal and the Agricultural Development Center, and an 'island and flower tour' bus linked the grounds and the Botanical Garden. Free weekend shuttles ran 09:00–18:00 from outlying car parks: Mullyangjang (물량장) to the Sports Park every 30 minutes, Jeil High School to the Sports Park every 20 minutes, and Oegan Elementary School to the microbial culture lab every 30 minutes. No shuttles in 2026 (festival cancelled). |
| Inje Icefish Festival | Inje, Gangwon State | Buses ran from Sinnam to Dong Seoul 7 times a day in October 2026; the January 2027 timetable has not been checked, and extra buses may run during a festival. Fishing hours were 10:00–17:00 in 2020. Check the last bus back from Sinnam at Dong Seoul Terminal before you set out. | No festival shuttle was documented for 2023 on the pages opened. In 2020 the agency Trazy sold a foreigners-only day package from hotels in Hongdae and Myeongdong that included the ice-fishing fee and a rod. |
Two habits help everywhere. First, check the last departure on the Korail+ app for the exact date, because weekend timetables differ. Second, after a crowded evening event in Busan or Seoul, walk to the next station along the line rather than queueing at the nearest one; the walk is usually 10–15 minutes and the platform is empty.
If the last train is before the show ends, stay the night: a motel or guesthouse within walking distance costs less than the taxi queue in frustration.

Goheung Nokdong Port Drone Show
The Goheung Nokdong Port Drone Show (고흥 녹동항 드론쇼) is a free drone light show over Nokdong Port in Goheung, Jeollanam-do, with Sorok Bridge behind it, held every Saturday at 21:00 from 4 April to 31 October 2026 (900 drones, busking from 20:00) and on the last Friday of each month in Goheung-eup. As of 19 October 2026 the season's last shows are Saturday 24 October, Friday 30 October (Goheung-eup) and Saturday 31 October; the 2027 season is expected from April.

Jeonju Hanok Village Traditional Performing Arts Parade
The Jeonju Hanok Village Traditional Performing Arts Parade (노상놀이야) is a free, one-hour folk parade along Taejo-ro, the main street of Jeonju Hanok Village, led by the giant dragon banners of Jeonju Gijeop-nori and pungmul drummers, with comic street plays on the way and a closing communal play in front of Gyeonggijeon Shrine. The 2026 season runs every Saturday, 15:00–16:00, from 18 April to 31 October, so the last two dates are 24 and 31 October; the 2027 season had not been announced as of 19 October 2026.
Naora Show
The Naora Show (나오라쇼, "Night of Light Show") is a free evening show at the Ganhyeon Tourist Area below Sogeumsan Grand Valley in Wonju, Gangwon: a media façade projected onto a river cliff about 250 m wide and 70 m high, with a music fountain that shoots up to 60 m. The 2026 season runs 25 April–31 October on Saturdays and public holidays only (none in July and August), 19:50–21:00, so the last 2026 shows are on Saturday 24 and Saturday 31 October; the 2027 season is expected from late April.
