What it is like
Pentaport began in 2006 (a 1999 precursor, Triport, was cut short by torrential rain in its first year) and is hosted by Incheon Metropolitan City with the Incheon Tourism Organization and the Kyeonggi Ilbo newspaper. The venue is Songdo Moonlight Festival Park, an open park with little shade at the southern end of Songdo, with a station of the same name about ten minutes' walk from the gate. Three stages run from mid-morning until about 22:30; the 2026 edition had 66 acts including Khruangbin (Friday), Massive Attack and Hyukoh (Saturday) and Pixies and Silica Gel (Sunday), with a kids' zone, a Musinsa merchandise collaboration and an official app for the timetable. Tickets go on sale in stages: a 3-day early bird (₩204,000) sold out within hours of the first lineup on 8 May 2026, a 1-day early bird (₩102,000) sold out on 14 May, and regular tickets (₩120,000 a day, ₩240,000 for three days) followed; 2-day passes are no longer sold. The honest caveat is heat. Songdo hit 36 °C on 2 August 2026, at least three people were taken to hospital with heat illness, and the organizer's cool zone (expanded to hold 3,500) was packed by early afternoon. There is almost no shade, so bring water (no limit on what you carry in), a hat and sunscreen, and expect a crowded terminus station after the last encore.

Who it suits. Best for rock and indie fans who want international headliners without leaving the Seoul subway network, and for groups happy to stand in the sun all day. Less suited to anyone sensitive to heat, to travellers expecting seating, or to those who want Korean traditional culture, which is not part of the programme.
Getting there
From Seoul
Seoul Metro Line 1 to Bupyeong (about 46 minutes from Seoul Station; express trains from Yongsan about 34 minutes), transfer to Incheon Line 1 southbound to its terminus, Songdo Moonlight Festival Park station (about 35 minutes); leave by Exit 4 and walk about 10 minutes (550 m) to the park gate. Alternatively Suin-Bundang Line to Woninjae and transfer to Incheon Line 1. Buses 909, 4200, 6405 and 6724 pass near the park.
From Busan
KTX from Busan to Seoul Station, then Line 1 to Bupyeong and Incheon Line 1 to the terminus as above.
From Incheon Airport
AREX from Terminal 1 or 2 to Gyeyang, transfer to Incheon Line 1 southbound to the terminus at Songdo Moonlight Festival Park.

Incheon Subway Line 1 (southern terminus, station I139), Exit 4. About 10 minutes / 550 m to the park (the Korean Wikipedia entry says 11 minutes or more); in 2026 one of the two entry gates was set up near the station, the other at the park entrance.
Festival shuttle
No public shuttle was announced for 2026; the organizer relies on Incheon Line 1 and split the entrance into two routes to shorten queues.
Getting home
Shows end by 22:30 and the station is the line's terminus, so every train leaves northbound; the exact last departure on festival nights was not verified. Expect long platform queues after the headliner; the Bupyeong transfer to Seoul Line 1 is the pinch point.
Parking
No festival parking is offered; the organizer and local guides advise public transport because traffic around the park jams at closing time.
How to switch Naver Map and Kakao Map to English
Google Maps shows train, subway and bus routes in Korea but not walking or driving directions yet, so for the walk from the station Naver Map or Kakao Map is more reliable.

Use Naver Map or Kakao Map for walking and bus directions; Google Maps does not yet give walking directions in Korea. Both apps can be switched to English. Naver Map: Menu (≡) → Settings → Language (Japanese and Chinese also available). Kakao Map: Menu (≡) → Settings → App settings → Language. If the option is missing, change your phone’s language and reopen the app. Small shop names and some reviews stay in Korean.
Trains and buses
Book trains on Korail’s English site and express buses on Kobus. Holiday weekends sell out first.
