Privacy

This page describes what the site stores and why. It was last updated on 16 October 2026.

Forms

The correction, festival-submission and partnership forms send what you type (your name, email address, organization, festival and message) through Cloudflare straight to the editors’ mailbox, so we can reply. The site itself keeps no copy, and your IP address is used only briefly to stop the same sender posting many times in a minute. We use what you send only to handle your request.

Saved festivals

Your saved list lives in your browser's local storage under fak-saved. It is not sent to the server and does not follow you to another device. Clearing site data removes it.

Visit statistics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views without cookies, fingerprinting or personal identifiers. Clicks on a few planning buttons (Official site, Add to calendar, Directions, Compare, Save, Share, and the Korail and Kobus links) are also counted through Cloudflare Zaraz and stored in Cloudflare: which button, which festival page, the page language and your country. No cookies are set and no IP address is stored.

No trackers

There is no advertising pixel or social-media embed. Fonts are served from this site, not from Google. The map view loads its map from OpenFreeMap (tiles.openfreemap.org) only when you open it, and your browser then connects to that service directly. Some festival photographs are shown directly from Wikimedia Commons, so your browser loads them from Wikimedia's servers without sending which page you were on.

External links

Official festival sites, ticket sellers and map services have their own privacy practices. Opening a link takes you to them.

Hosting

The site runs on Cloudflare, which processes requests to deliver and secure it under its own privacy policy.
