Music festivals in Korea

Pentaport in Incheon (rock, late July or early August), the Busan International Rock Festival (the first weekend of October) and Jarasum Jazz on an island in the Bukhan River (October) anchor the calendar. Tickets are sold online in advance; Pentaport and Jarasum day passes run from about ₩88,000 to ₩120,000. Elsewhere the music is mostly free: concerts on Dadaepo Beach at the Busan Sea Festival between late July and mid-August, and Jeongseon Arirang, the county's own form of Korea's UNESCO-listed folk song, at the Jeongseon Arirang Festival in late September or early October. The Jeonju International Sori Festival of pansori, Korean traditional music and world music, planned for October in 2027, mixes ticketed indoor concerts with free outdoor programmes.
