活動特色
朝鮮時代，王宮各門由守門將率領的守門軍把守。守門將是從六品武官，負責指揮守門士兵、盤查出入並帶隊巡邏。自1996年起，首爾市政府在面向首爾廣場的德壽宮正門大漢門前重現這段換崗場面。儀式依據史料編排，以朝鮮後期的德壽宮為背景。演員扮演七種角色：守門將、其屬下軍官與守門軍、傳達王命並監督交接的王室祕書官、掌管宮殿鑰匙的官員、軍樂隊，以及以鼓聲標示每個環節的鼓手。
儀式全年週二至週日11:00和14:00舉行；週一是德壽宮休館日，不舉行。每場約20分鐘：開場鼓、交接雙方核對當天的口令、交接宮門、短暫巡邏和閉幕，全程有軍樂伴奏。現場廣播和語音解說提供韓語、英語、中文和日語。至少到2020年還有15:30的第三場，有些旅遊網站至今仍列出這一場；而韓國觀光公社和文化體育觀光部2026年的資訊只列11:00和14:00兩場。
遊客也可以參與。週末和國定假日10:30–15:30，任何人都可在門旁的體驗處免費穿上朝鮮時代服裝。另有兩個角色每場各限1人，需在主辦單位網站事先申請：敲響開啟儀式的大鼓（「開式打鼓」），以及穿上制服加入守門軍（「我也是守門將」）。與守門軍合照的「我人生中特別的一天」在週二、週三和週五的10:00、13:00和15:00舉行，每場1組、最多5人，可獲得1張拍立得照片。
有幾點要先知道：遇大雨、大雪或酷暑嚴寒（據2026年一份旅遊指南，低於零下5℃或達到35℃以上），為了守衛的安全，儀式可能取消或縮短，觀眾區也沒有遮蔽。2024年8月，市政府在最熱的幾週把白天場改為夜間活動；2025年和2026年未見類似的夏季調整。2015年觀眾超過100萬人，約一半來自海外，因此門前很快就會擠滿人。另外，它不是景福宮光化門的守門將交接儀式；後者是另一項國家級活動，時間和規則都不同。

搭地鐵1號線或2號線到市廳站。從1號或2號出口步行到德壽宮正門大漢門都只要1至2分鐘（依市政府資料，1號出口距離96公尺）。從首爾站出發，搭1號線往清涼里方向（北行）到市廳站。光化門廣場和清溪廣場沿世宗大路往北走一小段即可抵達。
從釜山出發
從釜山站搭KTX到首爾站，約2小時30分鐘（自2026年9月1日起一般車廂票價₩54,400），再轉乘1號線到市廳站，從1號或2號出口出站。
從仁川機場出發
搭機場鐵路（AREX）到首爾站，再轉乘1號線到市廳站，從1號或2號出口出站。
從市廳站到會場
首爾地鐵1號線和2號線，1號或2號出口。步行1至2分鐘到大漢門；依市政府資料，1號出口距離96公尺
回程交通
不必擔心：最後一場14:00開始，德壽宮本身開放到21:00。
在韓國，Google 地圖可以查詢火車、地鐵和公車路線，但還不支援步行和開車導航；從車站步行前往時，Naver Map 或 Kakao Map 較可靠。

- 最佳造訪時間
- 春季或秋季最好，因酷暑嚴寒規定而取消的機率最低。稍早抵達，站在大門左側（市廳一側）的坡道上——一份旅遊指南推薦這裡，能看到守門軍進場和退場。

周邊景點
- 德壽宮 (덕수궁) — 穿過大漢門即到。大門後方的宮殿，有西洋式建築石造殿（內部參觀需預約）；除週一外09:00–21:00開放，閉館前1小時停止入場，成人₩1,000。
- 德壽宮石牆路 (덕수궁 돌담길)。從大漢門沿宮牆通往貞洞的小路；2024年8月，守門軍的夜間巡邏就走這條路。
- 首爾燈節 (서울빛초롱축제)。冬季在清溪川沿岸、從清溪廣場開始展出的燈飾，12月中旬至隔年1月；沿世宗大路往北走一小段即到。
- 光化門市集 (광화문 마켓)。12月中旬至新年期間在光化門廣場舉辦的夜間聖誕市集，位於世宗大路北端。
- 景福宮星光夜行 (경복궁 별빛야행)。需購票的景福宮夜間導覽，附宮廷風格晚餐，秋季舉行，有些年份春季也有；名額以抽籤分配。

全年週二至週日11:00和14:00，在大漢門前舉行。週一不舉行。有些旅遊網站仍列有15:30的場次，但韓國觀光公社和文化體育觀光部2026年的資訊只有11:00和14:00。
儀式持續多久？

- The organizer's site (royalguard.kr) could not be opened (the fetch was not approved), so its current notices, application pages and holiday schedule were not checked; times come from the 2026 KTO and ministry listings and the city's July 2024 report.
- Current running time of each run: about 20 minutes per the city's 2010 breakdown (the city's Chinese page lists the same steps); a 2022 listing gave 40-minute slots. Not confirmed for 2026.
- Whether a summer night programme or an August pause was held in 2025 or 2026 (in 2024 the 'Night Royal Guard' replaced the daytime runs from 6 to 31 August).
- The weather thresholds (heavy rain or snow, below −5°C, 35°C and above) come from a 2026 travel guide; the organizer's own rule was not seen.
- Whether the patrol still marches out after the 11:00 run, and its current routes (in 2020 it went to a different place each weekday; a 2026 travel guide mentions Gwanghwamun).
- Whether the ceremony runs on Seollal and Chuseok holidays that fall between Tuesday and Sunday.
- Japanese and Simplified Chinese names were not found on a KTO or official page (Seoul city's Traditional Chinese site uses 王宮守門將交接儀式).
- Deoksugung admission figures come from a travel guide, not the palace's own page.
- Whether the photo session and the hands-on roles are free, and how the online application works for foreign visitors.
- The ministry's listing page shows another festival's name (서대문독립민주축제) in its header although the body describes this ceremony.
- Restrooms and step-free access around Daehanmun were not checked.
