活動特色
朝鮮王朝時期，王宮各宮門由稱為「守門將」的守門長官與其士兵把守，他們查驗進出人員，並在規定時間開關宮門。據《朝鮮王朝實錄》記載，這個職位設於1469年。自2002年起，國家文化遺產機構在朝鮮王朝的正宮景福宮重現這段換崗過程，服裝與兵器都仿照朝鮮初期士兵的樣貌。目前由國家遺產廳宮陵遺跡本部與國家遺產振興院（前身為韓國文化財財團）負責營運。
每天的流程是固定的。09:35和13:35，守門軍在協生門外進行約15分鐘的公開訓練。10:00和14:00是主要的交接儀式，約20分鐘，在正門光化門與其後的興禮門之間的廣場舉行；自2023年起，修復後的光化門前石造月臺也成為儀式場地。11:00和13:00有約10分鐘的簡短把守儀式（파수의식），檢查並替換駐守光化門的守衛。儀式之間守衛在門前值勤，儀式前後遊客可以和守衛合照，還能試穿守衛服裝。

觀看免費，不需預約。只有穿過興禮門進入景福宮內時才需要門票：成人₩3,000，穿韓服者、18歲以下的外國人與65歲以上者免費。
有幾點要先知道：宮殿休館的週二沒有儀式；雨雪天則改為在興禮門進行簡化的站崗；夏季與冬季遇到酷熱或嚴寒天氣時，把守儀式會縮短。2026年8月5日新設的酷暑重大警報發布後，全部活動自開辦以來首次停止，幾天後恢復。此外，這也不是德壽宮大漢門前的王宮守門將交接儀式；那是首爾市另行舉辦的活動，時間與休息日都不同。

從釜山出發
從釜山站搭KTX到首爾站約2小時30分鐘（2026年9月1日起一般車廂票價₩54,400），再搭1號線坐3站到鐘路3街，轉乘3號線坐2站到景福宮站5號出口。
從仁川機場出發
搭AREX到首爾站，再搭1號線坐3站到鐘路3街，轉乘3號線坐2站到景福宮站5號出口。

- The organizer's own current schedule page (Korea Heritage Service / National Heritage Promotion Agency) was not found or opened; the times come from KTO's English listing (2025 data), NOL World, Yonhap via Segye (Aug 2026), a YTN interview (Jun 2026) and Seoul Mediahub, which all agree.
- Exact temperature thresholds for shortening the gate-guard ceremony in winter and summer: NOL World gives 'below 10°C or above 30°C', which may be a garbled 'minus 10°C'.
- Times, place and any fee for photo time and the guard-uniform try-on.
- Whether the ceremony runs when a public holiday falls on a Tuesday, and on Seollal and Chuseok.
