  • Sat 14 Dec 17:30–19:00opening ceremony, followed by a parade through the festival area
  • Christmas displays with glowing reindeer, sleighs and trees; a snow photo spot where fake snow fell every five minutes
  • Tue 31 Dec 23:00–01:00New Year countdown with artists and DJs from 23:00 and a show of about 1,000 drones just before midnight

About the festival

The Haeundae Light Festival (해운대 빛축제) is Haeundae-gu's free winter illumination along Gunam-ro, the street from Haeundae Station down to the sea, and on the sand of Haeundae Beach in Busan, held every winter since 2014. The 13th edition runs 28 November 2026–10 January 2027, as listed in Haeundae-gu Office's 2026 events calendar, which notes that dates may change; lighting hours and the programme are not yet published. The 12th edition ran 29 November 2025–18 January 2026, lit 18:00–23:00 daily. Take Busan Metro Line 2 to Haeundae Station, Exit 3 or 5.
