  • Sat 29 Nov, Haeundae Beach18:00 opening performance, 18:30 speeches and lighting performance, 19:00–19:05 fireworks over the sea, 19:10–19:40 concert by DK (December)
  • Gunam-roStarlight Gate at the entrance, a 4 m star sculpture in the middle of the street, Christmas trees of 3 m, 5 m and 8 m, and the Stellar Wave Zone of lights rolling towards the sea
  • Haeundae Universe Zone on the sand: a 10 m Earth model used for media art, beside a 180 m Milky Way zone of LED lights with planets, stars and spacecraft
  • Starlight Square at the beach event square, 18:00–22:00 daily: sand art, line art and pedal-powered light bicycles; Christmas photo booth with free prop rental during the Christmas season
  • Street busking on Gunam-roweekdays 19:00–21:00 and weekends 18:30–21:30 (per a travel blog)

Notes on the 2025 edition

12th edition, 51 days; theme "STELLAR HAEUNDAE: waves of stars roll in" (별의 물결이 밀려오다). The fireworks were on opening night only. Contact: Haeundae-gu Office, 051-749-4062.

About the festival

The Haeundae Light Festival (해운대 빛축제) is Haeundae-gu's free winter illumination along Gunam-ro, the street from Haeundae Station down to the sea, and on the sand of Haeundae Beach in Busan, held every winter since 2014. The 13th edition runs 28 November 2026–10 January 2027, as listed in Haeundae-gu Office's 2026 events calendar, which notes that dates may change; lighting hours and the programme are not yet published. The 12th edition ran 29 November 2025–18 January 2026, lit 18:00–23:00 daily. Take Busan Metro Line 2 to Haeundae Station, Exit 3 or 5.
