活動特色
光州自1994年起舉辦泡菜慶典，韓國觀光公社的介紹稱這座城市是泡菜的故鄉。早年曾在南區的光州泡菜村（광주김치타운）等地舉行，2023年在尚武市民公園舉辦，2024年起移到西區治平洞光州市政府的廣場、露天音樂台和草坪。韓國觀光公社和文化體育觀光部現在將會場列為全南光州統合特別市（전남광주통합특별시）光州辦公大樓，第33屆就在這裡舉行，日期為2026年10月23日（週五）至25日（週日），每天10:00–20:00。
這個慶典的重點就是吃泡菜、買泡菜、醃泡菜。「千人餐桌」（천인의 밥상）美食區整天供應泡菜料理，2025年超過50種。泡菜市集販售得獎泡菜、認證泡菜和傳統市場的泡菜，2024年和2025年的價格比店售便宜20–30%，2026年為10–30%折扣；最高獎項為總統獎的大韓民國泡菜大賽（대한민국 김치경연대회）也是活動內容之一。曾獲這個獎的名匠在付費的泡菜體驗學校授課，時間較短的入門課程則可以拌約1公斤泡菜帶回家。孩子們可以玩把醃漬和調味變成遊戲的「越冬泡菜遊戲場」，外國旅客則可以在全球泡菜休息區品嚐泡菜。

有幾點要先知道：這是在市中心辦公區舉行的慶典，不是在白菜田邊醃越冬泡菜的鄉間活動。付費課程要透過韓國平台Naver預約。2025年三天約有57,000人到訪，週末市政府附近不好停車，從最近的地鐵站步行要25–30分鐘，最後一段搭計程車或市區公車比較省時。
關於譯名：韓國政府規定的「김치」中文標準譯名是「辛奇」，韓國觀光公社的中文資料因此稱本節為「光州辛奇節」；本站沿用中文讀者較熟悉的「泡菜」。

從首爾出發
從龍山站（或水西站）搭KTX到光州松汀站，約2小時（2026年9月票價調降後，龍山站出發一般車廂為₩42,000）。在光州松汀站轉搭光州地鐵1號線往鹿洞方向，在尚武站（4號出口）或雲泉站（3號出口）下車；根據一份慶典指南，從那裡步行到市政府約25–30分鐘，所以搭計程車，或搭市區公車（금호46、매월16、운림50、일곡38、지원25、지원45、첨단22路）到「市政府」（시청）站會比較快。首爾中央城市客運站也有高速巴士開往光州U-Square客運站，到站後再搭計程車或市區公車前往。
從釜山出發
從釜山西部市外巴士客運站（沙上，地鐵2號線沙上站）搭市外巴士到光州U-Square客運站，每天23班，車程2小時57分，優等₩28,300、Premium ₩36,800。釜山綜合巴士客運站（老圃，地鐵1號線老圃站）也有班次，每天16班，車程3小時03分，優等₩31,200。到U-Square後再依上述方式搭計程車或市區公車到市政府。
從尚武站到會場

回程交通
慶典20:00結束，10月23日和24日的泡菜派對也在20:00結束。光州松汀站開往龍山站和水西站的KTX，以及光州U-Square開往首爾中央城市客運站的高速巴士都行駛到深夜，但2026年10月23日至25日的末班車時刻未依Korail和客運業者的時刻表查證：出發前請在Korail+ App（코레일+，KTX和原SRT列車現在都在這裡預訂）或車站確認末班車，並在客運站確認末班巴士。請預留搭1號線或計程車回光州松汀站的時間。
停車
市政府周邊停車位有限，建議搭大眾運輸前往。2026年10月21日20:00至25日24:00，市政府前路口至韓國銀行後門路口路段禁止車輛通行，部分市區公車改道行駛。週末，市政府周邊公家機關的停車場和尚武和平公園（상무지구 평화공원）地下停車場免費開放。
在韓國，Google 地圖可以查詢火車、地鐵和公車路線，但還不支援步行和開車導航；從車站步行前往時，Naver Map 或 Kakao Map 較可靠。

在不錯過接駁車與回程末班車的前提下，節慶前後可以順道去的地方。
韓國歷史最悠久的當代藝術雙年展（始於1995年），本站也有介紹。第16屆「You Must Change Your Life」在北區龍鳳洞的雙年展展覽館舉行，展期至2026年11月15日，市內各處另設展館。展覽館開放時間10:00–18:00，只有週一休館，所以慶典三天都能去：上午看展，再穿過市區去參加下午的體驗課和18:30的泡菜派對。小提醒：現場成人票₩20,000；展覽館旁的光州市立美術館免費參觀。

- 良洞市場 (양동시장)節慶前
光州最大的傳統市場，始於1910年，以「良洞炸雞」聞名：整隻雞炸兩次，一半裹上甜辣醬和花生；這裡的魟魚（洪魚）和包生菜吃的炸物「生菜炸物」（상추튀김）也很有名。適合在去慶典前吃午餐：市場每天09:00–20:00營業（各店不同）。小提醒：市場就在地鐵1號線上，吃完可直接往西搭回雲泉站或尚武站前往市政府。

- 5·18紀念公園 (5·18기념공원)前後皆可
為紀念1980年5月光州民主化運動，於1998年在舊尚武台軍營原址建成的公園，占地208,000平方公尺，有市民軍雕像、追悼空間和5·18紀念文化中心，林間步道可登上如意山頂的五月台涼亭。全天開放、免費，適合填補一天中的空檔，例如下午的體驗課和18:30泡菜派對之間。小提醒：紀念文化中心裡有洗手間。
