现场体验
光州自1994年起举办泡菜庆典，韩国观光公社的介绍称这座城市是泡菜的故乡。庆典早年曾在南区的光州泡菜村（광주김치타운）等地举办，2023年在尚武市民公园举行，2024年起移到西区治平洞光州市政府的广场、露天音乐台和草坪。韩国观光公社和文化体育观光部现将会场列为全南光州统合特别市（전남광주통합특별시）光州办公楼；第33届由该市主办，于2026年10月23日（周五）至25日（周日）举行，每天10:00–20:00。

从首尔出发
从龙山站（或水西站）乘KTX到光州松汀站，约2小时（2026年9月票价下调后，龙山站出发普通车厢为₩42,000）。在光州松汀站换乘光州地铁1号线往鹿洞方向，在尚武站（4号出口）或云泉站（3号出口）下车；据一份庆典指南，从那里步行到市政府约需25–30分钟，因此打车或乘公交（금호46、매월16、운림50、일곡38、지원25、지원45、첨단22路）到“市政府”（시청）站会更快。首尔中央城市客运站也有高速巴士开往光州U-Square客运站，到站后打车或乘公交前往。
从釜山出发
从釜山西部市外巴士客运站（沙上，地铁2号线沙上站）乘市外巴士到光州U-Square客运站，每天23班，车程2小时57分钟，优等座₩28,300，高级座₩36,800。釜山综合巴士客运站（老圃，地铁1号线老圃站）也有班车，每天16班，车程3小时03分钟，优等座₩31,200。到U-Square后，按上述方式打车或乘公交到市政府。
从尚武站到会场

返程
庆典20:00结束，10月23日和24日的泡菜派对也在20:00结束。光州松汀站开往龙山站和水西站的KTX、光州U-Square开往首尔中央城市客运站的高速巴士都运行到深夜，但2026年10月23日至25日的末班车时刻未按Korail和巴士公司的时刻表核实：出发前请在Korail+应用（코레일+，KTX和原SRT列车现在都在这里预订）或车站查询末班车，在客运站查询末班巴士。请预留乘1号线或打车回光州松汀站的时间。
停车
市政府周边车位有限，建议乘公共交通前往。2026年10月21日20:00至25日24:00，市政府前十字路口至韩国银行后门路口路段禁止车辆通行，部分公交线路绕行。周末，市政府周边公共机关的停车场和尚武和平公园（상무지구 평화공원）地下停车场免费开放。
在韩国，谷歌地图可以查询火车、地铁和公交路线，但还不支持步行和驾车导航；从车站步行前往时，用Naver地图或Kakao地图更可靠。

在不错过接驳车和返程末班车的前提下，节庆前后可以顺路去的地方。
韩国历史最悠久的当代艺术双年展（始于1995年），本站也有介绍。第16届“You Must Change Your Life”在北区龙凤洞的双年展展览馆举办，展期至2026年11月15日，市内各处另设展馆。展览馆开放时间10:00–18:00，只在周一闭馆，所以庆典三天都能去：上午看展，再穿过市区去参加下午的体验课和18:30的泡菜派对。小贴士：现场成人票₩20,000；展览馆旁的光州市立美术馆免费参观。
