どんな祭り？
堤川国際音楽映画祭（略称JIMFF）は2005年8月に始まり、韓国で、そしてアジアで唯一の音楽映画を軸にした映画祭とされています。最初の20年ほどは夏のリゾート型の映画祭で、昼は町の映画館で映画を観て、夜は清風湖（청풍호）のほとりの特設ステージ（2018年には最大3,000人を収容）でコンサートを楽しみ、義林池（의림지）の公園でも小規模な公演が開かれていました。2024年の第20回で開催時期が8月から9月上旬に移り、2025年には開幕式とコンサート「One Summer Night」が湖畔を離れ、町に近くソウルからも行きやすい堤川飛行場に移りました。飛行場にはキャンプ用のテントが約350張り設けられました。
第22回は2026年9月3日～8日、「Fly Together」をスローガンに開かれ、チャン・ハンジュン（장항준）監督が執行委員長として2年目を迎えました。上映作品は45か国の189作品と過去最多で、開幕作はコンゴの監督でミュージシャンのラフィキ・ファリアラによる『Congo Boy』（콩고 보이）でした。上映会場は堤川文化劇場、堤川映像メディアセンター「ボム」（봄）、Yeopyeoncho Salon（엽연초살롱）で、音楽映画コンペティションと並んで新しい国際コンペティションが設けられ、トークプログラムにはポン・ジュノ、パク・チャヌク、ソン・ソッキが堤川を訪れました。メインステージは再び移り、郊外の飛行場から市の中心部にある堤川芸術の殿堂の夏の広場へ。ここでレッドカーペットと、9月4日・5日のコンサート「One Summer Night with K-pop Season 2」が行われ、閉幕式は9月8日に芸術の殿堂の大劇場で開かれました。公開オーディションで選ばれたストリートミュージシャンが、堤川駅前や中心街の通りで演奏しました。
