どんな祭り？
咸平は光州からバスで約30分の小さな農業の郡で、1999年に蝶に郡の名を懸けました。この年、まだほとんど知られていなかった郡がこの春の祭りを始め、その後2008年には蝶・昆虫エキスポを開催しました。そのエキスポ公園が今も祭りの会場です。現在は4月下旬の金曜日から5月5日のこどもの日（またはその振替休日）まで、11～12日間開かれます。中止は2回で、2014年はセウォル号沈没事故を受けて、2020年は新型コロナのため取りやめになりました。
祭りは小さな子ども向けにつくられていて、体験こそが主役です。公園には17種・約200,000匹の生きた蝶と、30種・約500,000本の花があります（2025年の数字）。子どもたちは蝶昆虫生態館や屋外で蝶を放し、中央広場のエアドームの中で花束を使って蝶にえさをあげ（2025年に始まり、今ではいちばん人気の体験で、2026年は毎日行列ができました）、蝶の衣装を着たり工作をしたりします。植物館ではバナナの収穫体験があり、咸平川沿いの生態湿地では農業体験や魚とり、迷路の体験ができます。屋内の標本館では蝶と昆虫約450種を見られ、植物館には多肉植物や食虫植物、モンシロチョウの部屋があります。
第28回（2026年4月24日～5月5日）のテーマは「夢見る蝶、始まる旅路」でした。蝶をテーマにした新しい遊びと学びの施設「ナビッパーク（나빛파크）」が屋内外の遊び場とともに開かれ、「ナビ・ファンタジア」パレード、ダンスクルーのコンテスト、メインステージでの招待歌手のコンサート、成都市の友好区と運営する四川文化ゾーン、咸平産の牛肉と豚肉の試食に、ピンキッツ（Pinkfong）とベイビーシャークのシンガロングショーが加わりました。来場者は約236,000人で、2025年の224,098人を上回りました。
チケットは安く、一部は手元に戻ってきます。当日券は年齢により約₩3,000～7,000で、前売りは約10%安く、大人と青少年のチケットには祭りのブースや地元の店で使える約₩1,000～2,000のクーポンが付いてきました。祭りのチケットがあれば、同じ日に郡の自然生態公園と両生爬虫類生態公園に半額で入れることもありました。
注意点もあります。まず子ども向けの祭りなので、子ども連れでない大人には物足りないかもしれません。こどもの日と5月の連休の週末はとても混みます。プログラムは韓国語のみで、会場は18:00に閉まります（最終入場17:30）。咸平はソウルから約3時間かかります。祭りの期間中は一部のKTXが咸平駅に停車し、その乗客向けに会場へのシャトルバスも出るので、日帰りがしやすくなります。2027年の日程は2026年10月19日時点で発表されていません。

こんな人におすすめ： 幼稚園から小学生くらいの子どもがいる家族に最適です。蝶を放したり、えさをあげたり、衣装を着て遊んだりできます。春の花の庭が好きな人にも向いています。一方、子ども連れでない大人、英語のプログラムが必要な人、5月の連休の人混みが苦手な人にはあまり向きません。また、咸平はソウルから片道約3時間かかります。

どの日でも使える方法：龍山駅（または水西駅）からKTXで光州松汀駅まで約2時間（2026年9月の運賃値下げ後、龍山駅からの一般室は₩42,000）。そこから光州の500番バスで咸平公営バスターミナルまで30分～1時間、または錦湖高速の市外バス（1日約19本、約30分）に乗り、咸平邑のGonjae-ro（곤재로）27にあるエキスポ公園まではタクシーを使います。祭りの期間中は、Korailが一部のKTXを咸平駅にも停車させ（2026年は8日間、2024年は毎日上下各3本）、KTXの乗客向けに会場へのシャトルバスも出ました。時間はかかりますが、ソウルから咸平への錦湖高速の直行バス（1日2本、約4時間30分）や、龍山駅から咸平駅へのSaemaeul号とMugunghwa号（約4時間10分と4時間50分）もあります。
釜山から
釜山から咸平まで市外バスで約4時間です（郡の観光マップによる。出発ターミナルと本数の記載はありません）。

シャトルバス
2026年は4月24日～26日と5月1日～5日の8日間、KTXが咸平駅に臨時停車し、KTXの乗客専用のシャトルバス1台が駅と祭りの「ナビ駐車場」を結びました。午前に会場行きが2便、午後に駅行きが2便です。KTXの乗客は入場料が10%割引になり、小さな記念品ももらえました。2024年は咸平駅とエキスポ公園の間をシャトルバスが走り、乗った人には咸平の農産物が配られました。参照したページには、列車とシャトルバスの時刻の記載はありませんでした。
帰り方
会場は18:00に閉まります（最終入場17:30）。KTXの臨時停車日には、午後のシャトルバス2便が咸平駅へ戻ります。2026年の祭り期間中の列車の時刻は、参照したページには載っていませんでした。それ以外の日は光州経由で帰ります（バスで30分～1時間）。光州松汀駅から龍山駅または水西駅へのKTX（約2時間）か、光州ユースクエアからソウル・セントラルシティへの高速バスを使います。咸平からソウルへの直行バスは1日2本だけです。2026年11月1日に列車の時刻が変わり、2027年春の時刻はまだ発表されていないため、当サイトでは終電・最終便の時刻を載せていません。祭りの日より前に、終電はKorailアプリ（코레일+ / Korail+）か駅で、最終便はターミナルで確認してください。
駐車場
車で来る人は「咸平エキスポ公園ナビ駐車場」（함평엑스포공원 나비주차장）をナビに設定するよう案内され、2026年は臨時駐車場の案内もありました。参照したページには収容台数や料金の記載はありませんでした。5月の連休は駐車待ちになりやすいでしょう。
Google マップは韓国では電車・地下鉄・バスの経路を表示できますが、徒歩や車のルート案内にはまだ対応していません。駅から会場までの徒歩ルートは、NAVERマップかカカオマップのほうが確実です。

GS25、CU、セブン-イレブンなどのコンビニで購入でき、チャージも同じ店で現金でできます。ほとんどの都市の地下鉄・バスと、ほとんどのタクシーで使えます。
地図アプリ
徒歩やバスのルート検索にはNAVERマップかカカオマップを使いましょう。Google マップは韓国ではまだ徒歩ルートを案内できません。どちらのアプリも英語表示に切り替えられます。NAVERマップはメニュー（≡）→設定→言語で切り替えでき、日本語・中国語も選べます。カカオマップはメニュー（≡）→設定→アプリ設定→言語で切り替えます。項目が見当たらない場合は、スマートフォンの言語設定を変えてからアプリを開き直してください。小さな店の名前や一部の口コミは韓国語のままです。

- 蝶のえさやりや放し体験の列が短い、平日の朝、09:00の開場直後がおすすめです。いちばん混む日にあえて行きたいのでなければ、こどもの日（5月5日）は避けましょう。お目当てのコンサートがあるなら、メインステージの出演者を確認してください。
- 持ち物
- 日差しを遮るもののない広場や花畑に備えて帽子と水を、公園の道を一日歩くので歩きやすい靴をお持ちください。チケットのクーポンを祭りのブースや地元の店でどう使うかも考えておきましょう。

祭りの前後に寄れる場所
シャトルバスや帰りの終電・最終バスに間に合う範囲で、祭りの前後に立ち寄れる場所です。
- 咸平郡立美術館 (함평군립미술관)前後どちらでも
エキスポ公園の中心にある郡立美術館で、蝶の羽をかたどった建物に、寄贈作品を中心とする3つの展示室と企画展があります。蝶のドームの行列から離れて、屋内でひと息つけます。3月～10月は10:00～18:00の開館で閉館は祭りと同じ時刻、月曜は休館です（祭り期間中の月曜に開くかは確認されていません）。入館は無料（韓国観光公社）ですが、祭りの期間中は有料の公園の中にあります。屋外の奇石を並べた庭も見ておきましょう。
行き方：エキスポ公園内、祭り会場から徒歩約155m。無料
- 咸平生肉ビビンバ通り (함평 생고기비빔밥 거리)祭りの後に
咸平邑の市場の周りに店が集まり、郡の名物ユッケビビンバを出しています。ご飯と10種類以上の野菜に地元の牛市場から仕入れた赤身の生肉をのせ、コチュジャンの代わりにごま油と、唐辛子・にんにく・アミの塩辛の合わせ調味料で和え、牛の血のスープ（ソンジクク）が付きます。会場が閉まる18:00に向かいましょう。花郎食堂は毎日10:00～19:00（ラストオーダー18:55）。光州行きのバスが出る咸平バスターミナルの近くですが、KTX乗客用のシャトルバスとは組み合わせられません。

- The official festival site (hpftf.or.kr) was opened on 21 October 2026, but its festival page lists only programme categories, so the 2026 programme timetable, free-entry categories, group prices, car parks and shuttle times were not read from the organizer.
- Free-entry categories for this festival were not confirmed (the chrysanthemum festival at the same park admits Hampyeong residents, children under 4 and others free, but no butterfly-festival source said so).
- Train numbers and times of the 2026 festival KTX stops at Hampyeong Station, and the shuttle timetable, were not published on the pages opened (a blog gives times, unverified); no 2027 stops have been announced.
- KTO lists '야간 무료개장' (free night entry) for 2026, but no night hours or programme were found; a community post mentions an evening drive-in cinema.
- Opening hours for 2024 and 2025 and the 2024 ticket prices were not found; the 2024 visitor total was not found (2025 is described as about 20% higher).
