活動特色
咸平是從光州搭巴士約30分鐘就能到的小農業郡，1999年把郡的名號押在了蝴蝶身上：郡政府在那一年創辦了這個春季慶典，當時沒什麼韓國人知道咸平這個地方；後來咸平又在2008年舉辦蝴蝶昆蟲博覽會，博覽會的EXPO公園至今仍是慶典的主場。現在慶典從4月下旬的某個星期五開始，到5月5日兒童節（或其補假日）結束，為期11至12天。慶典曾兩度停辦：2014年因世越號船難，2020年因COVID-19疫情。
這個慶典是為幼童打造的，重點在各種體驗。園內有17種約200,000隻活蝴蝶，以及30種約500,000株花（2025年數據）。孩子們可以在蝴蝶昆蟲生態館和戶外放飛蝴蝶，在中央廣場的充氣圓頂裡用花束餵蝴蝶（2025年新推出，現在是最受歡迎的體驗，2026年每天都大排長龍），還能換上蝴蝶裝、做手作。植物館有香蕉採收，咸平川沿岸的生態濕地則有農事、抓魚和迷宮體驗。室內的標本館展出約450種蝴蝶和昆蟲，植物館裡有多肉植物、食蟲植物和紋白蝶展間。
第28屆（2026年4月24日至5月5日）的主題是「懷抱夢想的蝴蝶，旅程就此展開」。這一屆新開了以蝴蝶為主題的遊樂學習中心Nabit Park（나빛파크），設有室內外遊樂區；在「蝴蝶奇幻」遊行、舞團大賽、主舞台的特邀歌手演唱會、與成都友好區合辦的四川文化區，以及咸平牛肉和豬肉試吃之外，又加入了Pinkfong與鯊魚寶寶歡唱秀。遊客約236,000人，比2025年的224,098人更多。
門票便宜，而且有一部分會「回到」你手上。現場票依年齡約₩3,000至₩7,000，預售約便宜10%；成人票和青少年票向來附贈面額約₩1,000至₩2,000的優惠券，可在慶典攤位和當地商店使用。憑慶典門票，當天也曾能以半價進入郡裡的自然生態公園和兩棲爬蟲類生態公園。
有幾點要先知道：這首先是兒童慶典，沒帶孩子的大人可能會覺得能玩的不多；兒童節和5月連假的週末非常擁擠；節目只有韓語；18:00關門（17:30停止入場）；咸平距離首爾約3小時。慶典期間部分KTX會停靠咸平站，並有供這些乘客搭乘的接駁車開往會場，當天來回會輕鬆一些。截至2026年10月19日，2027年的日期尚未公布。

適合對象： 最適合帶著幼兒園到國小年紀孩子的家庭，孩子們可以放飛蝴蝶、餵蝴蝶、換裝玩耍；喜歡春日花園的人也會喜歡。不太適合沒帶孩子的大人、需要英語節目的旅客，或不喜歡5月初連假人潮的人；另外，咸平距離首爾單程約3小時。
交通方式
從首爾出發
任何一天都能用的方式：從龍山站（或水西站）搭KTX到光州松汀站，約2小時（2026年9月票價調降後，龍山站出發一般車廂為₩42,000），再搭光州500路公車到咸平公營巴士客運站（30分鐘至1小時），或搭錦湖高速的市外巴士（每天約19班，約30分鐘），然後搭計程車到咸平邑Gonjae-ro（곤재로）27的EXPO公園。慶典期間，Korail還讓部分KTX直接停靠咸平站（2026年共8天；2024年每天上下行各3班），並有供KTX乘客搭乘的慶典接駁車開往會場。較慢的方式有：首爾直達咸平的錦湖高速巴士（每天2班，約4小時30分），或從龍山站搭新村號（Saemaeul）與無窮花號（Mugunghwa）列車到咸平站（分別約4小時10分與4小時50分）。
從釜山出發
從釜山搭市外巴士到咸平約4小時（依郡觀光地圖；未註明出發客運站與班次）。
從咸平站（湖南線；KTX僅在慶典期間停靠）到會場

節慶接駁車
2026年4月24日至26日和5月1日至5日（共8天），KTX臨時停靠咸平站，一輛僅供KTX乘客搭乘的接駁車往返車站和慶典的「蝴蝶停車場」：上午開往會場2班，下午返回車站2班。KTX乘客門票優惠10%，並獲贈小紀念品。2024年接駁車往返咸平站和EXPO公園，乘客還能獲贈咸平農產品。查閱的網頁未公布列車和接駁車的時刻。
回程交通
會場18:00關閉（17:30停止入場）。KTX停靠日，下午的2班接駁車會返回咸平站；查閱的網頁未公布2026年慶典列車的時刻。其他日子請經光州返回（搭巴士30分鐘至1小時），再從光州松汀站搭KTX到龍山站或水西站（約2小時），或從光州U-Square客運站搭高速巴士到首爾中央城市客運站。咸平直達首爾的巴士每天只有2班。列車時刻已於2026年11月1日調整，2027年春季的時刻尚未公布，因此本頁不列出末班車時間：請在慶典當天之前透過Korail App（코레일+ / Korail+）或在車站查詢末班火車，並到客運站查詢末班巴士。
停車
開車的遊客被告知將導航目的地設為「咸平EXPO公園蝴蝶停車場」（함평엑스포공원 나비주차장），2026年也設有臨時停車場指示；查閱的網頁未公布車位數與收費。5月連假期間停車很可能要排隊。
在韓國，Google 地圖可以查詢火車、地鐵和公車路線，但還不支援步行和開車導航；從車站步行前往時，Naver Map 或 Kakao Map 較可靠。

節慶前後順遊
在不錯過接駁車與回程末班車的前提下，節慶前後可以順道去的地方。
- 咸平郡立美術館 (함평군립미술관)前後皆可
位於EXPO公園中心的郡立美術館，建築外型像蝴蝶翅膀，三個展廳主要展出捐贈作品，另有特展。想避開蝴蝶圓頂前的長隊時，這裡是安靜的室內歇腳處：3月至10月開放時間10:00–18:00，與慶典同時關門，週一休館（慶典期間的週一是否開放未查證）。據韓國觀光公社免費參觀，但慶典期間它位於需購票的公園內。小提醒：館外陳列收藏奇石的庭園也值得一看。

- 咸平生牛肉拌飯街 (함평 생고기비빔밥 거리)節慶後
咸平邑市場周邊聚集著多家餐廳，供應咸平招牌的生牛肉拌飯：白飯配十多種蔬菜，鋪上來自當地牛市的生瘦牛肉，不用辣椒醬，而是拌入香油和以辣椒粉、蒜末、蝦醬調成的醬料，另附牛血湯。會場18:00關門後就去：花郎食堂每天10:00–19:00營業（最後點餐18:55）。小提醒：這裡靠近開往光州的咸平巴士客運站，但趕不上KTX乘客專用的接駁車。

2027年咸平蝴蝶節什麼時候舉行？
截至2026年10月19日尚未公布。2024年為4月26日至5月6日，2025年為4月25日至5月6日，2026年為4月24日至5月5日，都是在4月下旬的星期五開幕、在兒童節（5月5日）或之後的假日閉幕，因此預計2027年在4月下旬至5月上旬。2025年和2026年的日期都在3月中旬前公布。
門票多少錢？

- Free-entry categories for this festival were not confirmed (the chrysanthemum festival at the same park admits Hampyeong residents, children under 4 and others free, but no butterfly-festival source said so).
- Train numbers and times of the 2026 festival KTX stops at Hampyeong Station, and the shuttle timetable, were not published on the pages opened (a blog gives times, unverified); no 2027 stops have been announced.
- KTO lists '야간 무료개장' (free night entry) for 2026, but no night hours or programme were found; a community post mentions an evening drive-in cinema.
- Opening hours for 2024 and 2025 and the 2024 ticket prices were not found; the 2024 visitor total was not found (2025 is described as about 20% higher).
