Notes on the 2024 edition

Held earlier than the usual date of around 8 April: first planned for 27 March, then moved two days later after the district checked February temperatures. The cherries opened late, so forsythia was the main bloom and the trees were not fully open when the festival ended; the road stayed closed to cars, with the situation room open, until 14:00 on 8 April.

About the festival

The Yeouido Spring Flower Festival is Yeongdeungpo-gu's free cherry-blossom festival on Yeouiseo-ro (Yunjung-ro), a 1.7 km riverside road behind the National Assembly in Seoul that closes to cars for about a week and is lined with about 1,886 cherry trees, lit after dark. The 2026 edition ran 3–7 April, 11:30–21:30; the 2027 dates follow the bloom forecast and are expected in late March or the first half of April, not yet announced. Take Line 9 to National Assembly Station, Exit 1, or Line 5 to Yeouinaru Station, Exit 1, about 15 minutes on foot.

Transport, booking, crowd and accessibility details are on the main Yeouido Spring Flower Festival page, which covers every edition.
