活動特色
Gwamegi（과메기，半乾秋刀魚）是浦項沿海的冬季特產：把整條秋刀魚（最早用的是鯡魚）掛在戶外曬架上，白天曬太陽，夜裡吹東海的冷風，大約一週後，魚肉變得色深、油潤又有嚼勁。當地人直接生吃，用新鮮海藻或海苔包上一片生蒜，再沾一點酸甜的醋辣椒醬（초고추장）。九龍浦是浦項東南側南區的一個漁港小鎮，被視為這道菜的發源地，也是全國最大的產地，2007年獲指定為秋刀魚乾產業特區。這個節慶的主角是生產者：由浦項九龍浦秋刀魚乾事業協同組合與浦項市一起，在曬製季節剛開始時挑一個週末，於鎮上秋刀魚乾文化街的阿拉廣場舉辦。它不是針對觀光客的大型活動，而是全程使用韓語的小型在地節慶，2025年兩天約有20,000人造訪。活動內容有：秋刀魚乾和秋刀魚乾韓式飯捲的免費試吃（第一次嘗試的人吃飯捲比較容易入口）；以低於市價販售秋刀魚乾、魷魚等在地海產的攤位；把在地特產以超低價拍給觀眾的「驚喜拍賣」秀；主舞台上的人氣歌手演出；業餘的九龍浦歌謠大賽；還有吃完秋刀魚乾再比腕力、引體向上的趣味大力士比賽。2024年，鎮上還在電視劇《山茶花開時》取景用的房子旁邊，同時舉辦以1970至80年代為主題的復古活動「九龍 For You」。有幾點要先知道：秋刀魚乾味道濃、油脂多、魚腥味重，不是人人都喜歡（生產者現在也推出適合新手、腥味較淡的產品），購買前不妨先免費試吃；現場沒有英語翻譯；11月下旬的海風很冷；浦項的KTX站在城市另一頭，前往九龍浦的最後一段需要事先規劃。可以順道走訪廣場附近的日本人家屋街、九龍浦港和鎮上的海水浴場。

交通方式
從首爾出發
從首爾站搭KTX到浦項站約2小時20分至2小時30分；水西站也有列車，自2026年9月1日KTX與SRT合併後，兩者都可在Korail自家的App和英文網站訂票。浦項站位於城市西北側的北區興海邑，而九龍浦在東南海岸的南區，所以最後一段要搭計程車或浦項市區公車；這一段的路線和所需時間未查證。從東首爾綜合客運站也有開往浦項客運站的市外巴士。
從釜山出發
東海線列車從釜田站開往浦項站，每天約7班：KTX-Eum需1小時28分至1小時30分（₩18,100），ITX-Maeum需1小時58分至2小時06分（₩13,900），皆為一般車廂。也可從海雲台市外巴士站搭市外巴士到浦項客運站（與九龍浦同在南區）：大約每小時1班，約1小時28分，優等₩15,200。之後同樣搭計程車或浦項市區公車前往九龍浦；釜山綜合巴士客運站（老圃）的路線中沒有直達九龍浦的巴士。出發前請在Korail+ App（코레일+）或客運站確認班次時間。

回程交通
2024年的節慶到20:00結束。節慶當天從浦項站開往首爾站和水西站的末班車未查證：出發前請在Korail+ App（코레일+，KTX和原SRT列車現在都在這裡訂票）或車站確認末班車。從九龍浦到車站要橫越市區、路程不短，建議傍晚早點離開會場，或在浦項住一晚。
在韓國，Google 地圖可以查詢火車、地鐵和公車路線，但還不支援步行和開車導航；從車站步行前往時，Naver Map 或 Kakao Map 較可靠。

2017年11月開館的免費秋刀魚乾博物館：介紹秋刀魚如何靠海風風乾和九龍浦的歷史，還有3D影片、兒童海洋體驗館和可眺望港口的觀景台。開放時間09:00–18:00（17:30停止入場），週一休館，可在節慶開始前或下午空檔前往；距日本人家屋街約260公尺，兩處可以一起逛。小提醒：先在這裡認識秋刀魚乾，再到廣場品嚐道地的滋味。

九龍浦在日治時期是漁業重鎮，這條街保留了當時興建的47棟日式木造房屋和店鋪，如今是咖啡館、商店，以及由1920年代商人住宅修復而成的九龍浦近代歷史館；電視劇《山茶花開時》在此取景，沿1944年的石階往上就是可眺望港口的九龍浦公園。街區全天開放、免費，可在節慶開始前（2024年為13:00）或舞台節目空檔前往。小提醒：週五至週日晚上，石階上會投影約10分鐘的媒體藝術（根據韓國觀光公社2025年1月的資料為19:00–20:50）。
