现场体验
晓星岳是济州西部中山间地带、和平路旁一座长满青草的火山丘，海拔519米，但比周围的牧场只高出约119米。过去，济州的牧民会在冬末焚烧这类山丘上的枯草和害虫，这种做法称为bangae（방애）。1997年，济州市把这一习俗办成节庆，自2000年起在晓星岳举行。约20年间，节庆的高潮是黄昏时焚烧整座山坡，大批观众在山下的平原上观看。由于恶劣天气屡屡干扰，节庆于2013年从农历正月十五（一年中第一个满月）改到3月举行。
如今这一高潮已不复存在。山坡最后一次焚烧是在2021年，当年节庆以网络直播形式举行。2022年的节庆因东海岸山火而取消；2023年陕川山火期间，全国山火预警升至3级，所有用火项目都被取消。随后召开了市民圆桌会议，2023年10月，济州市以山火风险、碳排放和对野生动物的伤害为由，宣布不再点燃火山丘；2024年停办一年，重新设计活动。焚烧山坡现在受林业法规管辖；涯月居民请愿制定、旨在恢复烧山的条例于2024年10月在道议会通过，但被道知事退回复议。
2025年，节庆以“无火的光之节”回归，但最大阵风达24.8米/秒的大风横扫会场，最后两天被取消。2026年的活动（3月9日至14日）呈现了目前的形式：先是4天低调的预热活动——写许愿纸、搭建象征性的月亮屋（달집，daljip）篝火塔、导览火山丘徒步——然后是两天主活动。开幕当晚，会安放在三姓穴点燃的希望之火，焚烧月亮屋，并举行音乐会。最后一晚，风物农乐游行和火把游行走向主篝火，同时激光、烟花和投影火焰扫过晓星岳的山坡。白天有马上表演、民俗游戏、济州婚宴再现、农产品市集以及登山步行。真火的使用很克制：2026年开幕当晚火星四溅，主办方只焚烧了1座小月亮屋，而不是原计划的9座。
需要注意的是，这主要是岛民的节庆（2026年约160,000名游客中76.1%是济州居民），节目使用韩语，晚间演出结束后离场道路拥堵，而且3月空旷的山坡又冷又多风，因大风取消的风险一再出现。整座火山丘被火焰包围的照片展示的是过去的节庆，而不是现在的样子。

交通指南
从首尔出发
从金浦机场飞往济州国际机场约1小时15分钟，每天有数十个航班（仅济州航空自2026年3月29日起每天就有最多26个往返航班）。济州没有铁路。在机场1楼4号公交站（4号门前，标示前往大静、和顺方向）乘151路或151-1路急行巴士，沿和平路行驶，在机场后的第5站“晓星岳”（새별오름）站下车；急行巴士刷卡票价₩2,000起。乘出租车或自驾租车不到1小时。主活动期间，还有从济州市（济州综合竞技场、济州汉拿大学）、涯月和西归浦出发的接驳巴士。
从釜山出发
从金海（釜山）飞往济州国际机场，然后按上述方式乘151路或151-1路急行巴士、出租车或节庆接驳巴士。
从仁川机场出发
乘AREX机场铁路到金浦机场，换乘班次频繁的金浦—济州航班，然后从济州国际机场按上述方式前往。
节庆接驳车
2026年共有3条节庆接驳巴士线路开往晓星岳，每10至30分钟一班：（1）济州综合竞技场→济州汉拿大学→晓星岳；（2）涯月体育馆→晓星岳；（3）西归浦市第2办公楼→天帝渊入口→晓星岳。2027年的线路和时间请以本届公告为准。票价、返程末班车以及预热期间是否运行，在查阅的页面上均未公布。
返程
济州没有铁路。公布的开放时间到21:00结束，而最后一晚的音乐会在数字野火表演之后举行，因此请乘节庆接驳巴士返回济州市、涯月或西归浦（末班时间未公布），或提前预约出租车；人群散场时，沿和平路离开的道路历来严重拥堵。建议在济州住一晚，不要当晚飞回首尔。
停车
晓星岳平时有大型免费停车场；2026年节庆期间的停车安排在查阅的页面上未公布。2023年，济州综合竞技场和西归浦市第2办公楼停车场被指定为接驳巴士的停车换乘点。主活动当晚和平路预计会拥堵。
在韩国，谷歌地图可以查询火车、地铁和公交路线，但还不支持步行和驾车导航；从车站步行前往时，用Naver地图或Kakao地图更可靠。

节庆前后顺路去
在不错过接驳车和返程末班车的前提下，节庆前后可以顺路去的地方。
节庆所在的长满草的火山丘，海拔519米，但比平原只高约119米：陡峭的西侧步道约20分钟登顶，较平缓的东侧步道约30分钟，可以眺望济州市和海岸方向。建议在最后一天下午、马上表演和晚间节目之前登山，天黑前下山。步道全年开放、免费，2026年预热期间还有导览火山丘徒步。
