活動特色
曉星岳是濟州西部中山間地帶、和平路旁一座長滿青草的火山丘，海拔519公尺，但只比周圍的牧場高出約119公尺。過去濟州的牧民會在冬末焚燒這類山丘上的枯草並驅除害蟲，這種做法稱為bangae（방애）。1997年，濟州市將這項習俗辦成慶典，自2000年起在曉星岳舉行。約20年間，慶典的高潮都是黃昏時焚燒整座山坡，大批觀眾在山下的平原上觀看。由於惡劣天氣屢屢干擾，慶典於2013年從農曆正月十五（一年中第一個滿月）改到3月舉行。
如今這個高潮已不復存在。山坡最後一次焚燒是在2021年，當年慶典以線上直播進行。2022年的慶典因東海岸山火而取消；2023年陜川山火期間，全國山火警報升至第3級，所有用火節目都被取消。之後召開了市民圓桌會議，2023年10月，濟州市以山火風險、碳排放及對野生動物的傷害為由，宣布不再點燃火山丘；2024年停辦一年，重新規劃活動。焚燒山坡現在受林業法規管轄；涯月居民請願制定、要恢復燒山的條例於2024年10月在道議會通過，但被道知事退回覆議。
2025年，慶典以「無火的光之慶典」回歸，但陣風最高達24.8公尺/秒的強風橫掃會場，最後兩天被取消。2026年的活動（3月9日至14日）呈現了目前的形式：先是4天低調的前導活動（許願紙、搭建象徵性的daljip（月亮屋）篝火塔、導覽火山丘健行），接著是兩天主活動。開幕當晚會安放在三姓穴點燃的希望之火，焚燒daljip，並舉行音樂會。最後一晚，風物農樂遊行和火炬遊行走向主篝火，同時雷射、煙火和投影火焰掃過曉星岳的山坡。白天有馬上表演、民俗遊戲、濟州婚宴重現、農產品市集，以及登山健行。真火的使用相當節制：2026年開幕當晚火星四濺，主辦單位只焚燒了1座小daljip，而非原定的9座。
有幾點要先知道：這主要是島民的慶典（2026年約160,000名遊客中有76.1%是濟州居民），節目以韓語進行，晚間表演結束後離場道路壅塞，而且3月空曠的山坡又冷又多風，也一再面臨因強風取消的風險。整座火山丘陷入火海的照片是過去的慶典，而不是現在的樣子。

交通方式
從首爾出發
從金浦搭飛機到濟州國際機場約1小時15分，每天數十班（光是濟州航空自2026年3月29日起每天就有最多26個來回班次）。濟州沒有鐵路。在機場1樓4號公車站（4號門前，標示往大靜、和順方向）搭151或151-1路急行巴士，沿和平路行駛，在機場之後的第5站「曉星岳」（새별오름）站下車；急行巴士刷卡票價₩2,000起。搭計程車或自駕租車不到1小時。主活動期間另有從濟州市（濟州體育場、濟州漢拏大學）、涯月及西歸浦出發的接駁巴士。
從釜山出發
從金海（釜山）搭飛機到濟州國際機場，再依上述方式搭151或151-1路急行巴士、計程車或慶典接駁巴士。
從仁川機場出發
搭AREX機場鐵路到金浦機場，轉搭班次頻繁的金浦–濟州航班，再從濟州國際機場依上述方式前往。
節慶接駁車
2026年共有3條慶典接駁巴士路線開往曉星岳，每10至30分鐘一班：（1）濟州體育場→濟州漢拏大學→曉星岳；（2）涯月體育館→曉星岳；（3）西歸浦第2廳舍→天帝淵入口→曉星岳。2027年的路線和時間請以本屆公告為準。票價、回程末班車，以及前導活動期間是否行駛，已查閱的頁面都未公布。
回程交通
濟州沒有鐵路。公布的開放時間到21:00，而最後一晚的音樂會在數位野火秀之後舉行，因此請搭慶典接駁巴士回濟州市、涯月或西歸浦（末班時間未公布），或事先預約計程車；人潮散場時，沿和平路離開的道路向來嚴重壅塞。建議在濟州住一晚，不要當晚飛回首爾。
停車
曉星岳平時有大型免費停車場；2026年慶典期間的停車安排在已查閱的頁面上未公布。2023年濟州體育場及西歸浦第2廳舍停車場被指定為接駁巴士的停車轉乘據點。主活動當晚和平路預計會壅塞。
在韓國，Google 地圖可以查詢火車、地鐵和公車路線，但還不支援步行和開車導航；從車站步行前往時，Naver Map 或 Kakao Map 較可靠。

- 最佳造訪時間
- 最後一晚（2026年為3月14日），可看火炬遊行、篝火及數位野火秀；最好在下午稍早抵達，既能看馬上表演和民俗遊戲，也能避開車潮。
- 攜帶物品
- 保暖防風的多層衣物和帽子（山坡空曠，3月風大）、適合火山丘步道的耐走鞋子、天黑後步行離場用的手機手電筒，以及排隊等接駁巴士的耐心。
- 雨天

節慶前後順遊
在不錯過接駁車與回程末班車的前提下，節慶前後可以順道去的地方。
慶典舉辦地那座長滿草的火山丘，海拔519公尺，但比平原只高約119公尺：陡峭的西側步道約20分鐘登頂，較平緩的東側步道約30分鐘，可以眺望濟州市和海岸方向。建議在最後一天下午、馬上表演和晚間節目之前登山，天黑前下山。步道全年開放、免費，2026年前導活動期間還有導覽火山丘健行。
