现场体验
忠壮路（충장로）得名于朝鲜时代将领金德龄的谥号，是光州旧城区的购物和时尚街。旁边的锦南路通往5·18民主广场，那里是1980年5月民主化运动的中心。东区于2004年在这里创办庆典，希望把人气带回旧城区，并以“回忆”为主题：最早吸引的是“7080世代”，也就是在1970至80年代上学、周末常在这几条街上度过的一代人。文化体育观光部在2013年和2014年将其评为最优秀文化观光庆典，自2024年起它是该部的名誉文化观光庆典之一，韩国观光公社列出的指定期限到2027年。
每届都有一个“回忆的○○”主题：2025年是童话，2026年是歌曲。节目包括复古主题街（2026年在Sinseoseok路〈신서석로〉，有LP音乐室和投币KTV；2025年有1970至80年代风格的学校、小吃店、游戏厅和照相馆）、全日大厦245前的锦南路主舞台、由歌手和DJ播放复古音乐的夜间派对、由移民和留学生介绍美食与游戏的亚洲文化日、光州饭团（주먹밥）大赛，以及在忠壮路婚庆用品街举行的传统婚礼。
巡游是庆典的核心。2026年巡游从两天增加到三天：10月9日是来自6个国家12支队伍的世界巡游；10月10日有全国20支队伍角逐总额₩5,000万奖金的韩国巡游比赛，以及东区13个洞居民的巡游；最后一天是黄金巡游。巡游在锦南路4至5街进行，路线分成三个区段，各区段上演相同节目，方便观众分散观看。韩国观光公社的资料显示，庆典免费，时间为14:00–22:00，无需门票。

交通指南
从首尔出发
从龙山站（或水西站）乘KTX到光州松汀站，约2小时（2026年9月票价下调后，龙山站出发普通车厢为₩42,000）。在光州松汀站换乘光州地铁1号线往鹿洞方向，到文化殿堂站（문화전당역）下车，这是离忠壮路和庆典国立亚洲文化殿堂一端最近的车站；同一线路的锦南路4街站和锦南路5街站也很近。国立亚洲文化殿堂一带到光州松汀站打车约15至20分钟。首尔中央城市客运站也有高速巴士开往光州U-Square客运站，到站后打车或乘市内公交前往。
从釜山出发
从釜山西部（沙上）巴士客运站（地铁2号线沙上站旁）乘市外巴士到光州U-Square客运站，每天约23班，车程2小时57分，优等座₩28,300，高级座₩36,800。釜山综合巴士客运站（老圃，地铁1号线老圃站）也有班车，每天约16班，车程3小时03分，优等座₩31,200。到U-Square后打车或乘市内公交前往锦南路。回程末班车请在庆典当天之前到客运站查好。
从文化殿堂站到会场
光州地铁1号线。离忠壮路、国立亚洲文化殿堂和5·18民主广场最近的车站（出口编号未核实）；去锦南路4至5街的巡游路段，锦南路4街站和锦南路5街站更近
节庆接驳车
查阅的资料中没有提到庆典接驳巴士。
返程
节目进行到22:00（据韩国观光公社）。从光州松汀站乘KTX到龙山站或水西站约2小时，光州U-Square客运站也有开往首尔中央城市客运站的高速巴士；从国立亚洲文化殿堂一带打车到光州松汀站约15至20分钟。时刻表会调整（Korail已于2026年11月1日调整），所以这里不列出2027年举办日期的末班火车和末班巴士时间：请在庆典当天之前，通过Korail App（코레일+ / Korail+）或在车站查好末班车，并在U-Square客运站查好末班巴士。
停车
2026年，锦南路主舞台路段（全日大厦245至锦南路公园）自10月4日15:00至10月12日06:00全面禁止车辆通行；锦南路4至5街因巡游自10月8日23:00至10月11日22:00部分车道封闭；艺术街、国立亚洲文化殿堂和忠壮路4至5街一带按节目时间分时段管制。韩国观光公社资料显示，5·18民主广场设有收费停车场，每15分钟₩400，每天最高₩15,000；庆典期间乘公共交通更方便。
在韩国，谷歌地图可以查询火车、地铁和公交路线，但还不支持步行和驾车导航；从车站步行前往时，用Naver地图或Kakao地图更可靠。

- 2027 dates and the 2027 theme (announced at the 11 October 2026 closing) were not found in the reports opened; no 2026 visitor total had been published as of 19 October 2026.
- Visitor figures conflict: 467,191 for 2023 in district figures reported in 2026, against about 800,000 (organizer estimate, October 2023) and about 1.06 million (KT mobile data, February 2024).
- Culture Complex Station exit numbers, walking times and the Line 1 journey time from Gwangju Songjeong were not checked against an official page; the taxi time comes from a travel blog.
- 2025 parade days: the organizer's plan (Seoul Shinmun) lists 18–19 October, while Hankyung reported parades on 17–19 October.
