どんな祭り？
高敞邑城は牟陽城とも呼ばれる石造りの城郭で、朝鮮・端宗の即位元年にあたる1453年、湖南地方と済州の19の地域の人々によって築かれました。史跡第145号に指定され、海美・楽安と並んで韓国の三大邑城（城壁に囲まれた郡の中心地）のひとつに数えられます。城壁は高敞の町の丘陵の谷を包むように巡り、城内には竹林があります。祭りは1973年から続き、収穫を終えた旧暦9月9日の重陽節の前後に毎年開かれます。そのため日程は年ごとに大きく変わり、2024年は10月9日～13日、2025年は10月29日～11月2日、2026年は10月15日～19日でした。
どの回も中心は踏城遊び（답성놀이）です。韓服姿の参加者が頭に石をのせ、1,684mの城壁の道を一周します。地元の言い伝えでは、1周すれば足の病が治り、2周すれば病気知らずで長生きでき、3周すれば極楽往生できるといわれます。2026年は昼の踏城が毎日行われ、初日の学生から、三世代、カップル、家族、最終日の同じ姓を持つ人たちまで、日ごとに異なるグループが歩きました。週末は1日約600人が参加しています。日が暮れると、韓紙の灯籠に照らされた夜の踏城が行われ、最後は観客も加わる輪舞「カンガンスルレ」で締めくくられます。
そのほかのプログラムは、城を1453年へタイムスリップする舞台に変えます。市場・酒幕・茶房がそろう「リターンズ1453」ゾーン、毎日14:00の科挙の模擬試験、朝鮮時代の遊び、子ども向けに8つのミッションがあるミニ城の迷路、宝の地図を使った歴史ミステリーなどです。2026年は10月15日に1,400人を超える住民による街頭パレード、開幕の夜（10月16日）に1,000機のドローンショー、10月17日にブラックイーグルスの展示飛行が行われました。夜にはテーマ通り「トンニダンギル」（동리단길）とナイトマーケットが祭りと町の商店をつなぎ、屋台、農産物の直売市場、韓牛（ハヌ）のファームパーティーもにぎわいます。郡は「3つのゼロ」として、事故ゼロ・ぼったくりゼロ・使い捨て食器ゼロを掲げています。
正直なところ、注意点もあります。プログラムは韓国語のみです。城壁の道は丘を上り下りします。夜のプログラムは、ソウル行きの直行バスの最終便が出たずっと後の22:00まで続くので、光州で乗り換えるか1泊する計画を立てましょう。また、旧暦に合わせて開かれるため、前年と同じ週だと思い込まず、その年の日程を確認してください。

ソウルから
高敞には鉄道がありません。ソウルのセントラルシティターミナル（高速ターミナル駅、湖南線側）から高敞文化ターミナルまで高速バスが1日約16本運行しており、所要は3時間06分の予定、一般₩21,700、優等₩28,300です（2026年の運賃）。城は同じ町の中にあり、2026年の開幕パレードもバスターミナルから出発したので、歩くか短い距離をタクシーで移動できます。鉄道なら、KTXで湖南線の井邑駅まで行き（龍山駅から、または2026年9月1日のKTX・SRT統合以降は水西駅からも）、タクシーで井邑市外バス共用ターミナルへ向かって高敞行きのバスに乗ります。バスは1日約23本、所要31分、₩4,500です。
釜山から
高敞の高速バスターミナルには釜山行きの路線がないため、光州で乗り換えます。釜山西部市外バスターミナル（沙上、地下鉄2号線沙上駅）から光州ユースクエアまで市外バスが1日約23本、所要2時間57分、優等₩28,300です。ユースクエアから高敞まではバスで約48分（両ターミナル間は1日22本）。全体で約4時間みておきましょう。
仁川空港から
高敞と仁川空港を結ぶ直行の空港バスがあります。2026年秋の高敞発は1日4本で、第1ターミナルまで約3時間40分、料金は等級により₩46,400～₩65,000です。空港発高敞行きの時刻は確認できていません。それ以外の方法としては、AREXか空港バスでソウル市内に入り、セントラルシティターミナルからのバスを利用します。

2026年の祭りは22:00まで続きました。高敞文化ターミナルからソウル・セントラルシティ行きの直行バスは約3時間20分で、2026年秋は最終便が夕方の早い時間に出ており、プログラムの終了よりかなり前でした。夜の踏城まで楽しむなら、光州ユースクエア行きのバス（所要48分）に乗ってセントラルシティ行きの高速バスに乗り継ぐか、高敞に1泊しましょう。祭りの当日より前に、最終便をターミナル（またはバスの予約サイト）で確認してください。高敞から井邑方面の帰りの時刻は確認できていません。
駐車場
高敞邑城には無料駐車場があります（韓国観光公社のデータ）。参照した資料には、祭り期間中の駐車場や交通規制の情報はありませんでした。

徒歩やバスのルート検索にはNAVERマップかカカオマップを使いましょう。Google マップは韓国ではまだ徒歩ルートを案内できません。どちらのアプリも英語表示に切り替えられます。NAVERマップはメニュー（≡）→設定→言語で切り替えでき、日本語・中国語も選べます。カカオマップはメニュー（≡）→設定→アプリ設定→言語で切り替えます。項目が見当たらない場合は、スマートフォンの言語設定を変えてからアプリを開き直してください。小さな店の名前や一部の口コミは韓国語のままです。

- The official site (모양성제.com) was not opened; festival parking, shuttle buses and road closures for 2026 were not found in the sources opened.
- KTX journey times and fares from Yongsan or Suseo to Jeongeup could not be read: the timetable mirror's pages were too long for the fetch tool, and no existing record carries Jeongeup figures.
- Return buses from Gochang to Jeongeup and Incheon Airport-to-Gochang departure times were not checked.
- No visitor totals for 2025 or 2026 were found; the 2024 figure (more than 200,000) is the county's provisional count.
- First held in 1973 per KTO data, but the 49th edition fell in 2022, so at least one year was skipped; which year(s) was not found.
