どんな祭り？
チャムコッ（「本当の花」）は、食べられる韓国のツツジ、チンダルレの昔ながらの呼び名です。大邱の南端にそびえる琵瑟山（1,084m）には、山頂のすぐ下の台地にこのツツジが広がっています。約300,000坪、ほぼ1km²の群落が標高約1,000m付近に続き、達城郡はこれを韓国最大のツツジ群落としています。郡は1997年からこの開花に合わせて祭りを開いており、例年4月中旬の週末に行われます。
祭りは山の上と下の二か所で楽しめます。山のふもと、琵瑟山自然休養林と琵瑟山ユースホステルの周辺には、地元の出演者のステージ、達城の農産物を売るブース、フリーマーケット、フードトラックが並びます。開幕日には、ツツジの花びらと地元の野菜を使った巨大な「チャムコッ・ビビンバ」を、その年の数と同じ人数分（2024年は2,024人分、2026年は2,026人分）混ぜ合わせます。2026年は初めて開幕の夜が山を離れ、テクノポリスにある国立大邱科学館の広場で、トロットやポップの歌手によるコンサートが開かれました。花火は悪天候で中止になり、代わりにツツジ群落を描いたメディアファサードショーが行われました。
本当の見どころは山の上です。祭りの期間中は、ユースホステルから大見寺の隣のツツジ群落まで無料の電気バスが約20分で結びます。大見寺は三層石塔のある小さな寺です。歩くと森の中を1時間半～2時間登ります。群落の上には大見峰へ続く尾根があり、少し下には天然記念物に指定された岩塊流があります。
注意点もあります。開花が日程と合うとは限りません（標高1,000mでは霜で開花が遅れることがあり、2026年に満開になったのは最終日でした）。約50,000人が訪れた2026年の日曜日には、山頂行きバスの待ち時間が2時間を超えました。駐車場は早くに満車になり、大邱中心部からの公共交通は40～60分おきの週末のバスだけです。案内はすべて韓国語です。2025年の祭りは、慶尚北道の山火事で大邱が山林への立ち入りを禁じたため、開幕予定の11日前に中止されました。

ソウルから
ソウル駅または水西駅からKTXで東大邱駅へ（約1時間40分～1時間50分。2026年9月1日の運賃引き下げ以降、ソウルからの一般室は₩39,000）。東大邱駅から大邱地下鉄1号線で西へ向かい大谷駅へ。大谷からは600番の市内バスが琵瑟山自然休養林まで行きますが、運行は土曜・日曜・祝日のみで、40～60分おきです。達城5番バスも週末に休養林へ行きます。休養林からは祭りの無料電気バス（または1時間半～2時間のハイキング）でツツジ群落へ上ります。
釜山から
釜山西部（沙上）バスターミナルから玄風（ヒョンプン）行きの市外バスに乗り（2019年の旅行者の報告では約1時間30分、₩11,500）、そこからタクシーで休養林へ（2019年で約₩10,000）。または列車で東大邱駅へ行き、ソウルからと同じ経路で向かいます。
仁川空港から
空港鉄道AREXでソウル駅へ行き、KTXで東大邱駅へ。その後はソウルからと同じく地下鉄1号線と600番バスで向かいます。到着が遅い場合は大邱に1泊し、早朝に山へ向かいましょう。

シャトルバス
2026年は、休養林入口三差路付近の2か所の臨時駐車場（瑜伽邑龍里444-1番地と889-1番地）から会場まで無料シャトルバスが頻繁に運行し、琵瑟山ユースホステルからツツジ群落までは朝から無料の電気バスが走りました。14台が約5分おき、片道約20分で、4月19日の日曜日には待ち時間が2時間を超えました。2023年は乗り場で整理券を受け取り、人数を数えてから順に乗車する方式でした。2025年のツツジ・ツアーバスは3月29日～5月6日の運行予定で、無料は4月11日からの10日間だけでした。無料期間外の現在の運賃は見つかっていません。
帰り方
600番バスは週末と祝日のみ40～60分おきの運行で、休養林発の最終便は見つかっていないので、時間に余裕を持ってください。ソウルへは東大邱駅からKTXで約1時間40分～1時間50分です。2026年11月1日に列車の時刻が変わり、2027年春の時刻はまだ発表されていないため、当サイトでは終電の時刻を載せていません。祭りの日より前にKorailアプリ（코레일+ / Korail+）か駅で終電を確認してください。2026年のメインイベントは08:00～16:00でした。
駐車場
休養林の公営駐車場は無料ですが、2026年の祭りの日曜日には満車になりました。郡は休養林入口三差路付近に臨時駐車場を設けてシャトルで結び（2025～2026年）、2023年には7か所・5,660台分の駐車場を指定しました。
Google マップは韓国では電車・地下鉄・バスの経路を表示できますが、徒歩や車のルート案内にはまだ対応していません。駅から会場までの徒歩ルートは、NAVERマップかカカオマップのほうが確実です。

GS25、CU、セブン-イレブンなどのコンビニで購入でき、チャージも同じ店で現金でできます。ほとんどの都市の地下鉄・バスと、ほとんどのタクシーで使えます。

徒歩やバスのルート検索にはNAVERマップかカカオマップを使いましょう。Google マップは韓国ではまだ徒歩ルートを案内できません。どちらのアプリも英語表示に切り替えられます。NAVERマップはメニュー（≡）→設定→言語で切り替えでき、日本語・中国語も選べます。カカオマップはメニュー（≡）→設定→アプリ設定→言語で切り替えます。項目が見当たらない場合は、スマートフォンの言語設定を変えてからアプリを開き直してください。小さな店の名前や一部の口コミは韓国語のままです。

祭りの前後に寄れる場所
シャトルバスや帰りの終電・最終バスに間に合う範囲で、祭りの前後に立ち寄れる場所です。
- 大見寺（テギョンサ） (대견사)前後どちらでも
山頂のツツジ群落のそば、標高1,000mを超える場所にある曹渓宗の小さな寺です。一然（イリョン）が『三国遺事』の資料を集めたと伝わる新羅時代の寺の跡に、2011～2014年に再建されました。昔の三層石塔が残り、本堂には仏像の代わりにスリランカから贈られた仏舎利が祀られています。電気バスは寺の入口に着くので、上ったついでに立ち寄れます（05:00～19:00、無料）。ヒント：石塔のそばからは岩塊流の起点を見下ろせます。
行き方：ユースホステルから祭りの無料電気バスの終点（約20分。2026年の日曜は待ち時間が2時間を超えました）、または徒歩で1時間半～2時間
- 琵瑟山岩塊流 (비슬산 암괴류)祭りの後に
天然記念物第435号の「石の川」で、長さ約2km、最大幅約80mの岩塊の帯が、大見寺近くの標高約1,000mから約450mまで山を流れ下っています。帰りは電気バスの列に並ばず、歩いて下りながら見られます。ツツジ群落と休養林を結ぶ登山道がそのすぐ横を通り、1時間半～2時間かかります。大谷駅へ向かう600番バスは週末に40～60分おきしかないので、早めに下り始めてください。ヒント：道は急なので、しっかりした靴で。

確認できなかったこと
- Japanese and Chinese names of the festival were not found on a KTO or official page (the KTO data mirror uses 琵瑟山 for the mountain and 大見寺 for Daegyeonsa).
- The festival is not in the site's TourAPI snapshot (listed.json); ktriptips, a KTO data mirror, lists it as 1803449, which may be the KTO contentId but was not confirmed on KTO.
- The official site biseul.kr was not opened: 2026 opening-night start time, stage timetable and the 2027 plan could not be read from it.
- Azalea tour bus fare outside the free festival days and its 2026 season were not found; KTO data still show the older firefly electric car at ₩5,000 adults / ₩3,000 children, which news reports say was replaced by electric buses in 2023.
- Bus 600 and Dalseong 5 timetables (first and last departures, journey time from Daegok Station) were not checked on businfo.daegu.go.kr; the 40–60-minute interval comes from an undated facility page.
- The 2025 edition's planned end date is inferred as 13 April from the programme days; no notice giving the full planned period was opened.
- Edition numbers do not run evenly (18th in 2015, 25th in 2020–2021, 28th in 2024, 30th in 2026, first held 1997); the count appears to include cancelled years.
