Previous edition2025: 10–12 Oct 2025
Next edition2027: Mid-October 2027 is most likely if the merged format continues: the county set 16–18 October 2026 because mid-October is now the peak of the song-i auction and overlaps the salmon run. Notes on the 2026 edition

First edition held as one merged festival after the song-i and salmon festivals ran two weeks apart in 2025; dates chosen because the song-i harvest now peaks at auction in mid-October, matching the salmon run. Pre-booking opened 28 September 2026 at 09:00 on the Go Go Yangyang (고고양양) app or the festival website. No closing report or visitor total had been published as of 19 October 2026.

About the festival

The Yangyang Pine Mushroom and Salmon Festival (양양송이연어축제) is an autumn harvest festival on the Namdaecheon riverside in Yangyang, on Gangwon's east coast, where you hunt for pine mushrooms (song-i) in a pine forest and catch returning salmon bare-handed in the river. The 2026 edition ran 16–18 October; 2027 dates are not announced, and mid-October is most likely. Entry is free; the two signature experiences cost ₩30,000 each in 2026, with ₩10,000 returned as local gift certificates. Express buses from Seoul take 2 h 19 m.

Transport, booking, crowd and accessibility details are on the main Yangyang Pine Mushroom and Salmon Festival page, which covers every edition.
