Notes on the 2026 edition
Two print sources give the 2026 dates. A feature on Jangdan bean doenjang in the Gyeonggi Provincial Government's magazine 나의 경기도 (vol. 203, May 2026), credited to Paju City, says this year's festival is held on 27–29 November, with no venue, hours or programme. The 2026 poster (Paju City and the festival committee), printed in K-Festival magazine (월간 K-페스티벌, October 2026 issue, page 100), gives 27–29 November at Imjingak Plaza (임진각 광장 일원) and a free shuttle bus from Munsan Station, 09:00–17:00. Paju City's festival page still showed the 2025 edition as of 21 October 2026, and no city notice, press report or KTO listing for 2026 was found; in 2025 the dates were in local news by 20 October. It would be the 30th edition.
About the festival
The Paju Jangdan Bean Festival (파주장단콩축제) is a three-day farmers' festival at the Imjingak Tourist Area in Paju, Gyeonggi-do, beside the Imjin River near the inter-Korean border, where growers sell the new crop of Jangdan soybeans alongside fresh tofu, meju-making and bean threshing. The 29th edition ran 21–23 November 2025, 09:00–17:00. For 2026, a May 2026 feature in Gyeonggi Province's magazine credited to Paju City and the 2026 poster printed in K-Festival magazine's October 2026 issue both give 27–29 November (Friday to Sunday), the poster at Imjingak Plaza, but as of 21 October 2026 the dates were not yet on Paju City's festival page or in the press. Entry is free; take the Gyeongui–Jungang Line to Munsan Station, then the festival shuttle bus.
Transport, booking, crowd and accessibility details are on the main Paju Jangdan Bean Festival page, which covers every edition.
