Notes on the 2025 edition
20th edition (first held 2006). About 460,000 visitors and about ₩2.53 billion in sales, both reported as festival records. Weekend KTX trains reportedly sold out, and free city buses linked KTX Mungyeong Station with the site.
About the festival
The Mungyeong Apple Festival (문경사과축제) is a free harvest festival at Mungyeong Saejae Provincial Park in Mungyeong, Gyeongsangbuk-do, built around the Gamhong apple, a local variety that is in season only in October and averages 16.5 Brix. The 21st edition is running now, 17 October–1 November 2026, 09:00–18:00 daily, with growers' sales and tastings, orchard picking, an apple exhibition hall and family games. From Seoul, buses from Dong Seoul Terminal reach Mungyeong-eup in about 2 h 20 m (₩14,200), and a free city bus covers the last 10 minutes to the park.
Transport, booking, crowd and accessibility details are on the main Mungyeong Apple Festival page, which covers every edition.
