About the festival

The Tripitaka Koreana Cultural Festival (대장경기록문화축제) is Hapcheon County's autumn festival at the Tripitaka Koreana Theme Park in Gaya-myeon, Gyeongsangnam-do, about 5 km from Haeinsa Temple, where the 81,258 Tripitaka Koreana woodblocks are kept. The 2026 edition runs 9 October–1 November, 09:00–18:00, with autumn-flower sculptures, chrysanthemum bonsai, Tripitaka exhibitions and family craft workshops. Entry is paid: it is the theme park ticket, which costs a few thousand won (Hapcheon County has not published 2026 prices), and workshops cost extra. From Seoul, take the KTX to Dongdaegu (₩39,000), then the Haeinsa bus from Daegu Seobu Bus Terminal (56 minutes, ₩9,700).

Transport, booking, crowd and accessibility details are on the main Tripitaka Koreana Cultural Festival page, which covers every edition.
