About the festival
The Daegu International Musical Festival (DIMF) is an 18-day festival of Korean and overseas musicals staged in theatres across Daegu each June and July, with an outdoor opening gala at Kolon Outdoor Music Hall in Duryu Park and an awards night at the end. The 20th edition ran 19 June–6 July 2026 with 34 productions from seven countries; 2027 dates had not been announced as of 19 October 2026, but the last three editions opened on the third Friday of June. Tickets are sold show by show: the 2026 opening production was on NOL Ticket, which links to its English site NOL World, and foreigners got 30% off with a passport, while a festival booth sells ₩10,000 tickets to the main shows and the University Musical Festival is free. The main venue, the Daegu Culture & Arts Center, is in Duryu Park, reached by KTX to Dongdaegu (₩39,000 from Seoul Station) and Daegu Metro.
Transport, booking, crowd and accessibility details are on the main Daegu International Musical Festival page, which covers every edition.
