Notes on the 2025 edition
37th edition, with 37 Korean and international teams; theme 'Like flowers, like a river, perhaps like a story' (꽃인 듯 강물인 듯 어쩌면 이야기인 듯). 101,780 visitors over the eight days, with estimated visitor spending of about ₩14.1 billion.
About the festival
The Chuncheon Mime Festival (춘천마임축제) is an eight-day festival of mime, physical theatre, circus and street performance held across Chuncheon, Gangwon, every late May since 1989. It opens with a free water party on a closed city-centre street and ends with Dokkaebi Nanjang, an overnight show-and-party that runs from 14:00 to 05:00. The 38th edition ran 24–31 May 2026; 2027 dates are not announced, but recent editions opened on the fourth Sunday of May, which points to 23–30 May 2027. Most events are free; the ticketed theatre shows and night events usually cost about ₩15,000–25,000, and Chuncheon is about 1 h 20 m from Yongsan Station by ITX-Cheongchun (₩9,800).
