Notes on the 2025 edition

Autumn season, the tour's 16th year; ages 8 and over, with ID and booking number checked at entry and tickets not transferable outside the family. The night's tour was cancelled with a full refund if 5 mm or more of rain was forecast at 11:00 that day, or if wild boars appeared. A spring season also ran from 10 April to 15 June 2025, Thursday to Sunday, with departures at 19:20, 19:25, 19:30, 20:00, 20:05 and 20:10, at ₩30,000: lottery 17–23 March, winners announced 25 March, remaining seats from 31 March; English, Chinese and Japanese sessions on 18 and 25 May and 1 and 8 June, sold on Creatrip from 2 April, 09:00.

About the festival

The Changdeokgung Moonlight Tour (창덕궁 달빛기행) is a ticketed, guided night walk by lantern light through Changdeokgung Palace and its Secret Garden in central Seoul, with a daegeum flute solo, court dance, and tea with traditional sweets. It runs in spring and autumn: the autumn 2026 season ended on 17 October, and no 2027 dates had been announced as of 19 October 2026 (recent spring seasons have started in mid-April). Tickets are paid (about ₩30,000 per person) and general sessions are allotted by lottery on Ticketlink, while foreign visitors book separate English, Chinese and Japanese sessions on Creatrip. The tour enters by Geumhomun Gate, about 5 minutes' walk from Anguk Station (Line 3), Exit 3.
