About the festival
The Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) is a ten-day film festival centred on the Busan Cinema Center in Centum City, Haeundae-gu, with Community BIFF events in Nampo-dong, the old cinema district where it began in 1996. The 31st edition ran 6–15 October 2026 with 247 invited films from 59 countries; 2027 dates had not been announced as of 19 October 2026 (recent editions opened between mid-September and early October). Most screenings cost ₩10,000 and the opening and closing ceremonies ₩30,000, sold online at biff.kr from mid-September; the sources do not say whether foreign-issued cards work online, but the on-site BIFF box offices sell returned seats during the festival. The nearest station is Centum City on Busan Metro Line 2, Exit 12.
Transport, booking, crowd and accessibility details are on the main Busan International Film Festival page, which covers every edition.
