现场体验
虎尾串是浦项最东端的海岬，被称为朝鲜半岛的“虎尾”，也是韩国本土每天最早看到日出的地方之一。海边广场以青铜雕塑“相生之手”（상생의 손）闻名，这对手是为迎接新千年而制作的：高5.5米的左手立在广场上，高8.5米的右手立在海中，天气晴朗的早晨，太阳就在海中那只手的旁边升起。
自1999年新年起，市政府每年都在这里举办新年日出庆典；2000年和2001年1月1日的庆典为国家指定庆典，2025/26年这一届是第28届。庆典通宵进行。2025/26年，广场于12月31日14:00开放，有面具制作、运势占卜、农产品市集、餐车和快闪店；23:00左右开始跨年夜演出，随后是投影在虎尾串灯塔上的媒体立面秀、午夜倒计时与烟花，以及虎与马之舞。气膜帐篷和避寒休息所里有电影放映和可视电台节目，陪人们熬过长夜。1月1日06:50起，先是融合国乐、假面舞和走绳的祭仪演出，接着发布浦项的新年口号，07:33左右迎来日出。免费的年糕汤（韩国新年传统食物）从07:30起以3,000份料理包的形式发放；2019/20年这一届则发放了10,000份。
2025/26年约有50,000人到场，2023/24年约30,000人。五年中官方活动四次取消：2020/21年和2021/22年因COVID-19疫情取消，广场也关闭；2022/23年出于COVID-19疫情和人群安全考虑取消；2024/25年适逢济州航空空难后的国家哀悼期而取消，但仍有约22,000人前来，市政府照常发放年糕汤并设置了悼念空间。
需要注意的是：开阔的海岬又冷风又大（2026年黎明前−6°C，体感温度约−10°C）；云层经常遮住太阳（2024年就是如此）；跨年夜进入海岬的道路实施管制，而且严重拥堵；也没有资料显示有从市区出发的接驳车，所以请安排出租车或自驾，并在浦项住一晚。

交通指南
从首尔出发
从首尔站乘KTX到浦项站约2小时20分至2小时30分；水西站也有列车，自2026年9月1日KTX与SRT合并后，两者都可在Korail自己的应用程序和英文网站上预订。浦项站位于城市西北边缘的兴海邑，而虎尾串在南区虎尾串面的海岬最东端，所以最后一段请乘出租车；没有资料显示有庆典接驳车，市内公交线路和打车所需时间本页未核实。从东首尔综合客运站也有开往浦项客运站的市外巴士。请在交通管制开始前、12月31日下午之前到达浦项。
从釜山出发
按2026年10月的时刻表，东海线列车从釜田站开往浦项站，每天7班：KTX-Eum需1小时28分至1小时30分（₩18,100），ITX-Maeum需1小时58分至2小时06分（₩13,900），均为普通车厢票价。也可从海云台市外巴士站乘市外巴士到浦项客运站，大约每小时1班，车程1小时28分，优等座₩15,200。之后乘出租车前往虎尾串。1月1日是公众假日，返程前请通过Korail+应用（코레일+）或在车站查询列车，并在客运站查询巴士。

节庆接驳车
在已查阅的2022/23年至2025/26年这几届的市政府计划和新闻报道中，都没有提到从浦项市区（车站或客运站）开往虎尾串的接驳车，所以请计划乘出租车或自驾。旅游大巴另有停车区：2022/23年的交通计划在Daecheon桥（대천교）海岸道路上预留了约30辆大型巴士的车位。
返程
庆典在日出和年糕汤之后，持续到1月1日09:00左右。从浦项站乘KTX到首尔站约2小时20分至2小时30分，但一家第三方网站转载的2026年10月时刻表显示，白天浦项开往首尔站的列车间隔很长（该网站似乎只列出了部分车次），2027年1月1日的时刻表尚未核实。出发前请通过Korail+应用（코레일+；自2026年9月1日合并后，KTX和原SRT列车都在这里预订）或在车站查询列车，并预订下午或晚上的车次：元旦早上停车场停满、道路拥挤，离开海岬要花很长时间。
停车
广场停车场（大甫虎尾串停车场、虎尾串迎日停车场）免费。跨年夜市政府会增设临时停车场并实施交通管制：2022/23年这一届，12月31日下午至1月1日早上禁止车辆进入广场和海岸道路，在大甫中学旁的农田开设了约2,500个车位的临时停车场（停满即关闭），约180名公务员和志愿者在进场道路、929号地方道和村里疏导交通。2023/24年停车位增加了约1,500个，主要路口有警察执勤；2024/25年指定停车场停满，道路两旁停满了车。
在韩国，谷歌地图可以查询火车、地铁和公交路线，但还不支持步行和驾车导航；从车站步行前往时，用Naver地图或Kakao地图更可靠。

节庆前后顺路去
在不错过接驳车和返程末班车的前提下，节庆前后可以顺路去的地方。
1883年通商条约后日本人在九龙浦港区居住留下的房屋，仅存的几栋由浦项市整修成日本人房屋街，也是电视剧《山茶花开时》的取景地。可在12月31日下午前往海岬的路上顺道一游，并早点动身，因为通往广场的道路下午就开始交通管制。九龙浦以秋刀鱼干（과메기）和冷生鱼片汤（물회）闻名，适合在漫长的夜晚前早点吃晚饭。
怎么去：从广场沿海岸打车，不到约10公里（韩国观光公社距离）；公交线路未核实
韩国唯一的灯塔专题博物馆，1985年开馆，2022年扩建后面积扩大了一倍，收藏2万多件与灯塔和航标有关的藏品，有可以让孩子进去探索的灯塔模型和面海的露台，旁边就是虎尾串灯塔。12月31日（周四）应在09:00–18:00开放（17:30停止入馆，免费；周一闭馆），可在晚间节目开始前参观；1月1日是否开放尚未确认。2025/26年，天黑后灯塔成了媒体立面秀的投影幕。
怎么去：从广场步行约120米（韩国观光公社）；免费

日出后离开海岬很慢：2025/26年约有50,000人到场，停车场停满，进场道路拥堵，也没有资料显示有接驳车。不必跟着第一波人潮离开，可以先吃年糕汤，等道路疏通后再走；从浦项返程的KTX请订下午或晚上的车次，不要订早上的。

- Shuttle buses: no shuttle from Pohang Station or the bus terminals to Homigot was documented for any recent edition; whether the city runs one on New Year's Eve is unknown.
