12th edition, under the old name Sejong Festival (세종축제); 32 programmes themed on King Sejong (Hangeul), Jang Yeong-sil (science) and Park Yeon (music); budget ₩1.15 billion.

About the festival

The Sejong Hangeul Festival (세종한글축제, called the Sejong Festival until 2024) is Sejong City's free festival of King Sejong and the Korean alphabet, opening every year on Hangeul Day, 9 October, in Sejong Lake Park and Sejong Central Park. The 2026 edition ran 9–11 October, 10:00–21:00, with a Black Eagles air show, the Hangeul Run, drone shows and fireworks. The 2027 edition is expected around 9 October 2027; dates had not been announced as of 19 October 2026. Sejong has no KTX station: take a KTX to Osong (46–53 minutes, ₩16,900) and a BRT bus into the city (about 30 minutes).
