Notes on the 2026 edition
Fourth edition. Dates from Hongseong County's tourism page (2026.10.29–11.1) and the county's announcement reported on 20 Oct 2026 (Joongdo Ilbo and others). The county page names its Cultural Heritage Department (문화유산과, 041-630-1260; enquiries 041-630-1150) as responsible. Its stage and experience timetable is dated 1–3 Nov (Fri–Sun), which fits 2024 rather than 2026, so its times are not used here; the 10:00–21:00 from a festival-listing site is unconfirmed. The Hongju Culture & Tourism Foundation put the 2026 barbecue-content and main-stage contracts out to tender on 27 April 2026.
About the festival
The Hongseong Global Barbecue Festival (홍성글로벌바비큐페스티벌) is a four-day barbecue and meat festival held in and around Hongju-eupseong, the walled old town in the centre of Hongseong, Chungcheongnam-do, with grill zones, visiting barbecue teams, discounted local beef and pork, and evening concerts. Hongseong County has confirmed the fourth edition for Thursday 29 October to Sunday 1 November 2026. Entry is free; you pay for food and some experiences. Daily opening hours have not been officially published; according to a news report, main-stage shows run 17:00–18:00 each day and fireworks close the festival at 18:00–19:00 on 1 November. Hongseong is about 2 hours from Yongsan by Janghang Line train (₩9,600–14,300) or 1 h 54 m by express bus from Seoul Central City.
Transport, booking, crowd and accessibility details are on the main Hongseong Global Barbecue Festival page, which covers every edition.
