About the festival

The Gimje Horizon Festival is a five-day rice-farming festival at Byeokgolje, a 4th-century reservoir embankment in Gimje, Jeonbuk, where the land is flat enough to see the horizon. The 28th edition ran 1–5 October 2026, 09:00–21:00, with free admission and paid hands-on activities. Go for the Twin Dragon Play, a nationwide farmers'-band contest and harvest activities in real paddies.

Transport, booking, crowd and accessibility details are on the main Gimje Horizon Festival page, which covers every edition.
