Notes on the 2026 edition
Slogan 'Chimac 26 (take-off)'. Global Lounge for overseas visitors on the plaza observation deck; AI festival platform with multilingual chatbot and real-time crowd levels. Draught beer served mostly in reusable cups. Rain on and off on opening night.
About the festival
The Daegu Chimac Festival is a five-day chicken-and-beer street festival around Duryu Park in Daegu, held 1–5 July 2026 (next expected early July 2027). Entry is free; you pay for food and drink at brand booths, and a small block of main-stage seats is sold in advance. Evening concerts, a water-cannon DJ stage and a fireworks night make it one of Korea's biggest summer festivals, with more than a million visitors in each of 2024 and 2025.
