どんな祭り？
毎年5月、釜山の海雲台海水浴場は、その砂浜の砂でできた屋外ギャラリーになります。海雲台区と海雲台文化院が韓国内外の砂像作家を招き、浜辺で大きな作品を制作します。砂をしっかりと締め固め、つなぎには水だけを使うので、作品は海風や雨にも数週間耐えます。祭りは釜山でAPEC首脳会議が開かれた2005年に始まり、釜山市は2026年の回を第21回としています。
テーマは毎年変わります。2026年は釜山の歴史をたどる旅がテーマで、韓国、カナダ、中国、フランス、台湾の11人の作家による17点の作品が、朝鮮通信使、戦時の臨時首都だった時代、釜山港、釜山国際映画祭、野球の応援、サーフィン、温泉を表現し、その中心には高さ7mの砂の展望台を備えた海雲台のパノラマのメイン作品が置かれました。2025年のテーマはKカルチャーで、高さ12mのメイン作品に景福宮、多宝塔、李舜臣将軍が刻まれ、2024年には作家たちが世界の美術館の名画を砂で再現しました。
祭り自体は金曜日から月曜日までの4日間で、2026年のプログラムは10:00から21:00まででした。子どもたちはボードで砂丘を滑り降りたり、砂遊び場で遊んだり、短い教室で作家と一緒に砂を彫ったりできます。砂浜のステージではオープニングコンサートやK-POPダンスコンテストがあり、日が暮れるとメイン作品にメディアファサードのショーが映し出されます。海雲台駅から砂浜へ続く歩行者通り・亀南路（クナムロ）でも、ストリートパフォーマンスや小さなゾーンが加わります。
最終日のあとも砂像は約3週間浜辺に残されるので（2026年は6月14日まで）、5月下旬から6月上旬に釜山にいれば無料で見られます。展望台と夜のショーは祭りの4日間だけです。同じ浜辺で冬に開かれる海雲台光祭りは別の祭りです。
注意点もあります。日陰はほとんどなく、2024年の回には区の集計で約101万人が訪れ、週末は浜辺近くの道路も駐車場も混雑します。夜のショーやステージイベントの時刻は、英語の案内には載っていませんでした。

ソウルから
ソウル駅からKTXで釜山駅へ（約2時間30分。2026年9月1日のKTX・SRT統合以降の運賃表で一般室₩54,400）。釜山地下鉄1号線で西面まで行き、2号線に乗り換えて海雲台駅へ向かいます（全体で約1時間）。3番または5番出口を出て、亀南路を歩けば海水浴場まで約5分です。釜山駅からは急行バス1001番と1003番も海雲台へ運行しており、約40～50分です。
釜山から
釜山地下鉄2号線で海雲台駅3番または5番出口へ。亀南路（海雲台広場）を進めば海水浴場まで徒歩約5分です。釜山駅からは1号線で西面へ行き2号線に乗り換えるか（約1時間）、急行バス1001番または1003番（約40～50分）を利用します。市内バス38、39、40、63、141、200、1001、1003番が海雲台海水浴場に停まります。
仁川空港から
仁川から国内線で金海（釜山）へ飛び、釜山金海軽電鉄で沙上へ行き、地下鉄2号線で東へ海雲台まで向かいます（空港から約1時間20分）。空港バス1番路線も海雲台を経由します。または、AREXでソウル駅へ行き、KTXで釜山駅へ、そこから西面経由の地下鉄で向かいます。

帰り方
2026年の祭りのプログラムは21:00まででした。海雲台から釜山駅までは地下鉄で約1時間（西面で乗り換え）、そこからKTXでソウル駅まで約2時間30分です。終電は予約の前にKorail+（코레일+）アプリか駅で確認してください。
駐車場
祭り用の駐車場についての記載はありません。報道によると、浜辺周辺の道路は混雑し、特に週末は駐車場が限られるため、公共交通機関の利用がすすめられています。2025年冬の海雲台広場公営駐車場は平日10分₩300、週末10分₩500でした（Telltrip）。釜山市は海水浴場の有料駐車場を案内しています。
Google マップは韓国では電車・地下鉄・バスの経路を表示できますが、徒歩や車のルート案内にはまだ対応していません。駅から会場までの徒歩ルートは、NAVERマップかカカオマップのほうが確実です。

徒歩やバスのルート検索にはNAVERマップかカカオマップを使いましょう。Google マップは韓国ではまだ徒歩ルートを案内できません。どちらのアプリも英語表示に切り替えられます。NAVERマップはメニュー（≡）→設定→言語で切り替えでき、日本語・中国語も選べます。カカオマップはメニュー（≡）→設定→アプリ設定→言語で切り替えます。項目が見当たらない場合は、スマートフォンの言語設定を変えてからアプリを開き直してください。小さな店の名前や一部の口コミは韓国語のままです。

- Haeundae-gu's own festival page (haeundae.go.kr, linked from Busan city's event listing) could not be opened from this environment, so the organizer's notices were not read; dates rely on Busan city, KTO listings and news, and programme times on Telltrip, Nocut News and Ajunews.
- 2026 media-façade show times, the stage schedule after 16 May, and fees and sign-up rules for the sandboard and sculpture class were not found.
- Daily hours for 2023–2025 were not found (KTO gives 10:00–21:00 for 2026); whether the sculptures can be viewed outside programme hours during the display weeks was not confirmed.
