活動特色
BIFF於1996年在札嘎其附近的老城區電影院街區南浦洞誕生，街區中心的廣場從此被稱為BIFF廣場，地面上嵌著電影人的手印。韓國觀光公社稱它為亞洲最大的影展。2011年起，影展以Centum City的電影殿堂為中心。這座建築的懸臂式大屋頂（162.53 × 60.8公尺）列入金氏世界紀錄，屋頂下是一座約4,000個座位的露天劇場，開幕式和閉幕式都在這裡舉行。
第31屆於2026年10月6日至15日舉行：來自59個國家的247部受邀影片，加上社區BIFF的69部影片，在8個場館的31個影廳放映，其中大多位於Centum City一帶（電影殿堂，以及新世界百貨附近的CGV和樂天影城）。連同講座和活動在內，影展共計277,027人次觀眾，為2015年以來最多。影展自2025年起設有競賽單元「釜山獎」，據影展表示，最高獎得主可取得報名奧斯卡最佳國際影片的資格；2026年也是影展獲國際電影製片人協會（FIAPF）列為A級影展後的第一屆。
不是電影業界人士也能參與。幾乎所有活動只要有票就能參加：一般放映₩10,000，許多場次有導演映後座談（2026年共304場）；還有大屋頂下的露天放映Open Cinema、「演員之家」對談和大師班（₩15,000），以及開幕式和閉幕式（₩30,000）。在南浦洞，社區BIFF在Megabox釜山劇場放映由觀眾策劃的節目，BIFF廣場上則有街頭攤位和夜間戶外活動。
有幾點要先知道：門票在9月中旬固定的開賣日線上販售，每個場次限購兩張，熱門場次會完售；2026年影展結束後，有市民表示今年的票比以前更難搶。購票網站需要註冊會員並進行一次手機號碼驗證，公開資料沒有說明海外手機號碼或海外發行的卡片能否使用。影展期間，BIFF售票處只販售退票或未售出的座位。2026年在10月舉行，但2025年是在9月，安排行程前請先確認日期。

交通方式
從首爾出發
從首爾站搭KTX到釜山站，約2小時30分鐘（依2026年9月1日KTX與SRT整併後實施的票價表，一般車廂₩54,400）。再搭釜山地鐵1號線約10分鐘到西面，轉乘2號線往東到Centum City站；從12號出口出站，經過新世界百貨Centum City店後右轉，直走約200公尺就是電影殿堂。前往南浦洞的社區BIFF，則從釜山站搭1號線往南到南浦站或札嘎其站。
從釜山出發
前往電影殿堂和Centum City一帶的影城，搭釜山地鐵2號線到Centum City站12號出口。前往社區BIFF，搭1號線到札嘎其站（3號出口有電梯，可通往Megabox釜山劇場）或南浦站；BIFF廣場離兩站都只有幾步路，這一帶步行最方便。
從仁川機場出發
搭國內線班機到金海機場，再搭釜山-金海輕軌約7分鐘到沙上，轉乘2號線往東，不必再轉車即可到Centum City站；也可以搭機場快線（AREX）到首爾站，再搭KTX到釜山站。

回程交通
閉幕式19:00開始，晚場放映結束得很晚，所以大多數觀眾會在釜山過夜。返回首爾：從釜山站搭KTX約2小時30分，但2027年影展日期的末班車時間未查證，請在活動日前透過Korail App（코레일+ / Korail+）或在釜山站查詢末班KTX。從Centum City到釜山站請預留最多一小時（2號線到西面，再轉1號線）。
停車
電影殿堂停車場前30分鐘免費，之後每30分鐘₩1,000，每天最多₩15,000；持電影或演出門票可免費停車4小時（韓國觀光公社）。影展期間的停車情況未公布。BIFF廣場沒有停車場。
在韓國，Google 地圖可以查詢火車、地鐵和公車路線，但還不支援步行和開車導航；從車站步行前往時，Naver Map 或 Kakao Map 較可靠。
